No way they are seriously calling this gumbo . They boiled shrimp, and poured salsa all over white rice . It was god awful. Worst food I've ever been served from any establishment. Do not eat here

    Shrimp gumbo????

Service was. Great food was terrible. Shrimp gumbo was not gumbo, rice and tomato paste.. chicken sandwich was dry and not seasoned. Would not recommend. Salsa or something but can't call this gumbo

Baked Mac and Cheese Potato Salad

The service was amazing but the baked Mac and Potato Salad is beyond terrible spent over $100 in the place and literally had to throw all my sides away the brisket was dry and fatty the fish had no flavor it was honestly the worst food I've ever eaten in my 30 years of life

Special 2 meat and 2 Sides and 2 Meats Combo Platter. Brisket n chicken . Katie n I shared .. plenty of food, workers very pleasant ,

Back again! Katie and I really enjoyed it last time. We hoped it was just as good this time and it was! The ambiance is the same as its name, a back yard bbq feel. And, the service was very nice from the cheerful duo who took our order and brought us our food. The gentleman even came to our table to check on us, to see how it was, and to see if we had enough to eat! LoL The first time we came he even surprised us with a side order of all the sides besides the one we ordered. He said he wanted us to taste them all! We have decided this is our favorite BBQ place, our go-to! Check them out!

I have nothing bad to say about this place. It was a spur of the moment trip because I was craving some bbq and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It's a small, homey place off the high way, with its smokers and wood right in front on display making the area smell great. I couldn't imagine how much bbq id eat if I lived next door. The worker at the front was extraordinarily pleasant and helpful and when we sat down we were even told we could put anything we wanted on the tv because we were the only ones in there (I put on twilight) She explained the menu and we ordered the 2 meat combo. Soo much food for only $30! It was our first time there so they even let us try some extra sides, which I'd never turn down! The brisket was super flavorful and tender. The chicken was falling off the bone and not dry at all. The sides were all also very tasty, the green beans were probably my favorite. Everything is cooked separately from the meat so the sides are vegan! (Except the mac and cheese I think lol) the sweet tea was also delish. The seating area is pretty small, but it also wasn't busy at all. Even though I think it should be with the quality! The chef/owner (I believe) also came out and was super welcoming! I saw a few bad reviews on here but I'm glad I didn't let it deter me. 10/10 recommend for some good bbq!!

Heard it was the best bbq around. Very busy, waited a long time ever though I called 3 hours in advance. They couldn't find my order. And when we opened the order at home, just check out the pictures. Everything went in the garbage. They got my money. I got screwed. Do yourself a favor. Cross the bridge. Sweet Lucy's.

Horrible. Ordered at 420. Checked at 520 and was told that the order was cancelled. They said they would "remake it". Arrived at 6pm. Missing half the order. What we got was bad. Chicken was burnt, dry and cold. Beef brisket was extremely fatty and dry. How does that happen? There was a hair in the Mac and cheese. I've had Barbeque all over the US and this is just not close. I am not a big complainer, but this was more than three strikes. I'll never order from this place again and hope others will not make the same mistake.

My brisket order. Wow this is huge

Love the place. There's a hidden gem here and I'm glad I found it. This unassuming small restaurant packs so much into that little place. The portion sizes are astronomical, I can't make this up. I saw a platter come out and I pick up the pan thinking that all three of my orders were inside of this platter only to find out that platter was one order I will be back. Oh and that hidden gem that I spoke of is the ribs beef ribs.

Oh my. I was passing by and finally got to stop in the food was awesome simple menu and it was all great can't wait to come back and try everything else. Service was awesome and sweet down home feeling from cashier to chef the place was clean and awesome what else could you ask for.

I found this place on my way back from work. I am very happy to see a family run BBQ in my area. When I walked inside, I was immediately greeted by the owner who took my order. He was very friendly and welcoming. His son finished my order and made sure that everything was correct. My food came out quickly, within less than 10 minutes. The food was great and I will definitely come back. However, although it was good, this was not the best pulled pork that I have ever had. I really liked the mac and cheese and baked beans. Their sweet tea is excellent - made from scratch. The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. You can either do takeout or order and then sit down and eat. It had a steady line of customers coming in, which is a great sign.

Rack of ribs - so good!

Each of the sides was a delight to eat, from the mac n cheese to the collard greens to the candied yams. Usually, I could point out a favorite side and one that's not so good, but all three sides were really good. The candied yams were exceptional. That sweet taste of caramelized cinnamon baked right in. It's a perfect dessert by itself. The mac and cheese was on point with its stringy cheese and browned cheese topping. There's cheese, cheese, and more cheese in it. The collard greens... well, it's kale and I typically don't like kale but the masterful way they prepared this kale has me forgetting that it is kale. The pork ribs have meat that fall off the bone and have that wonderful smoked flavor. Nuff said! The sauce was a little different than what I'm used to - it seems a little vinegary - but still quite good and appropriate for the meat. I've paid the same ($18) or more for bbq platters in Center City and the Northeast and they are not as good as this. I'm so glad I took a chance on this place. It's a hidden gem for me. Give this place a try.

Arrived to a quiet, low key establishment, a bit eerie as we were the only ones there and light were still off, but were welcomed, none the less. Once everything lit up, the food was slowly being brought out and the choices for lunch were limited. No hot items at the sides and the sauces available were interesting, interestingly enough to concoct something on my own. Drink fridge was well stocked, but the dessert freezer was lacking in selection, Haagen Dazs was only available. Play area was the only buff/flex for us, as our busy toddler needed to roam free. I should have opted for a closer seating to the play area so we could take turns watching and eating/cooking :) but it worked out, like I mentioned, it was low key and we were rushed. Regarding food, they were helpful and provided service for items that were not readily available on the hot sides area, salt and pepper shrimp... YES PLEASE! I really liked the location and ambiance of Fette Sau. The chicken was outstanding--moist, flavorful, and one of the highlights of the meal. We also enjoyed the ribs. They were huge, tender, and very tasty. Unfortunately, there were several disappointments, which is why Fette Sau only earns 3 stars from us. When it comes to brisket, I'm not accustomed to BBQ restaurants serving almost exclusively the point cut or fat cap. We ordered a pound of brisket and could only eat about a quarter of it because it was simply too fatty for our taste. We strongly prefer the flat cut, which can still be incredibly moist and flavorful when prepared well. A combination of both cuts would have been fine, but receiving mostly fat was a major letdown. The large mac and cheese side easily fed the three of us, but it was very dry and lacked flavor. The cornbread muffin was similarly disappointing--dry and bland. I'm glad we took the time to visit because the atmosphere, chicken, and ribs were enjoyable, but given the brisket and sides, I don't see us returning.
