Ginormous loaded baked potato - a meal in itself
    Heather K.

Different lobation, same Whole Hog Flavor. Juicy smoked turkey, tender pulled pork and a potato as big as they come. All pack a punch on their own but add one of their 6 BBQ sauces and it takes it to another level. This Whole Hog has a large open dining area adores with countless trophies of all the competitions they have won. Same dining style order at the counter and it's brought to your table. Self service soda station with all the usual suspects as well as home made tea both sweetened and unsweet. Not all fast food has to be greasy burgers and fries. In and out and fully satisfied. Whole Hog for the win.

We ordered delivery to our nearby hotel and had a smooth experience. Food was packaged well for delivery. I had a pulled pork sandwich with slaw on top. I loved the mustard and vinegar bbq sauce! The pork was a little fatty but large portion. Very filling that I didn't feel left hungry after choosing to not order sides. Kids had kid meals-one ribs and one chicken both with Mac and cheese. Kids meals come with a drink too and I was glad they didn't forget those! I heard the ribs were really good! I tried the Mac and cheese and perfect texture and creaminess. Chicken was less enthusiastically eaten. Large portion but kind of dry, although the sweet bbq sauce helped with that. I'd definitely return if I was in this area again!

If you want a decent BBQ platter at a reasonable price then this is your spot. There is ample seating and service is quick. It's not mindblowing quality but it'll fulfill your craving. Worth a visit!

Ordered take out for dinner... had a hankering for BBQ. Ordered the Hog Platter 2 meats + 3 pork ribs and 2 sides $22.99 I selected the sliced beef brisket. Smoky flavor, but dry... very dry... not enough fat cap. There was no sauce to help moisten it. I didn't know what I wanted for the 2nd meat, so I asked Noah what he recommended... Noah suggested the Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage...GOOD CALL. Good flavor with a tiny bit of heat. The pork ribs were good. Glazed. Tender. A little bit of sweetness. The 2 sides are just ok... nothing to write home about. The Collard Greens were cooked well with some smokiness. The coleslaw is just ok.

Good food and clean restaurant. The meat was soft and fresh. I liked everything I ordered and it was good I will come here again

I ordered take out and the service I received over the phone was great by Jeremy, I think that was his name, who correctly took my order even though they weren't technically open. When I got there Jeremy was the one who assisted me as well and provided a military discount. I ordered 3 plates and we made sure everything was there. I wanted to like the food so bad especially because I was buying the other 2 plates to thank some people. I had the 3 choice plate with ribs, sliced brisket and chicken. The ribs were ok but the chicken was dry and the brisket was as well. The volcano sauce was really good and spicy! That elevated the meats to where it wasn't as dry. For Championship bbq not sure today was the day. I had the mac & cheese and collard greens and both were bland to say the least. I honestly would try it again but next time I would dine in. Again the customer service was fantastic!!

I broke my diet for this dry chicken that is not bbq chicken potato salad is spoiled or very close beans is old I new when I scene it's empty to turn around but I was hungry. If I wanted dry chicken I guess I should come to whole hog cafe because dry doesn't come out my kitchen. It's pitiful in in our local establishments to serve a paying customer trash I'm still hungry and I'm not eating this cornbread old also it fall on my floor cause I'm looking what is this. Guess I'll have a banana

Collards and Mac and Cheese were outstanding, as was the luscious banana pudding. Generous servings; I just ate the leftovers for lunch here at home. I used to…read morevisit when they were cooking out of the trailer behind the VFW in Woodbury, and somehow I never made it to their new location. After finally stopping in, I have one question... Why did I wait so long? This is, without question, the best barbecue I've ever had in my life. The first surprise was the restaurant itself. I knew they had a nice outdoor seating area, but I had no idea they also had a beautiful indoor dining room. It's clean, comfortable, and a huge step up from what I was expecting. We were greeted by the sweetest young lady named V, and she was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer our questions. Customer service like that makes a great meal even better. My wife and I split a full slab of ribs, and they were nothing short of incredible. Tender without falling apart, packed with smoky flavor, and finished with just the right amount of sauce. Every bite reminded me why good barbecue is worth the wait. For sides, we ordered the mac & cheese and their famous Mean Beans. I'll admit, I thought "Mean Beans" meant green beans. It turns out they're baked beans...and that's saying something because I normally don't even like baked beans. These completely changed my mind. They were rich, smoky, and absolutely delicious. Then there was the cornbread. I've had cornbread all over the place, but this was hands down the best cornbread I've ever eaten. Moist, buttery, just the right amount of sweetness--it was almost dessert. Big Swerve's has come a long way from the trailer behind the VFW, and it's great to see them thriving. The food is phenomenal, the service is outstanding, and every part of the meal exceeded my expectations. This isn't just another barbecue joint. It's the kind of place that reminds you what barbecue is supposed to taste like. Five stars isn't enough. This has officially become my favorite barbecue restaurant anywhere, and I'll be back again and again.

I can't go often, since it's not that close to me, but when I go, I typically order the rib platter. I typically get the same sides (beans and mac n cheese) along with cornbread. It is certainly more deserving than my initial 3 star review on my successive visits, but I never updated my review. Not everyone will love the sauce, which tastes more tomato-based, but that's okay. As I've gotten older, I appreciate it more. It's almost like... they put... ketchup... in the sauce... and if that's what it is, I'm fine with it. It tastes good. The ribs on that initial visit were tough; that's not a lie. On three visits afterwards, it was not as tough as the first time. On my most recent visit today, the ribs were really, really tender. Like... this is how tender ribs should be. The only difference between my experiences before versus now is I placed a takeout order this time whereas I always ate at the restaurant before. If takeout will always yield the freshest, most tender ribs, I'm good with ordering takeout from now on. The ribs were tender to the point of being delicate. They were SO GOOD. Even the rib that looked like it could've been tough was tender. That's how you know ribs are good. I would give 5 stars for just the ribs alone, but aha... there were more items... baked beans... SO GOOD... they have sausage bits in them. Cornbread... baked fresh and cut in front of my eyes... WARM, SOFT, FLUFFY.... SOoo GOOOOD... the mac n cheese... well, ehhh... can't win them all... it was just mac n cheese. I have to remember to order something other than mac n cheese next time, but I always forget because I don't go here often enough. Still, this is a 5 star meal all the way and I look forward to more meals like this. I thought I had to drive over to Camden all this time to get tender ribs. Let's say that all again... the ribs are damn good... tender and juicy. Yums. Go get some. Parking lot on the premises. Hope you get the same experience I just did.

I got there at around 6:30pm and although the parking lot had quite a few cars in it, the restaurant itself was pretty empty. The bar was empty and there were only a table or two with people sitting. There is a take out counter as soon as you walk in. You can order take out there, or order your food there and sit and they will bring it to your table. You can also sit at the bar or the seated area and be served. I ended up ordering the sliced brisket, turkey, chili and spicy greens. (About $28) Everything was very good...but the spicy greens really stood out...like nothing I ever had before. The meal also came with cornbread, which was really good. There is a little condiment bar on the side with lots of sauces and other items including pickles, peppers, onions, pickled onions and cinnamon honey butter (for your cornbread of course). You are welcome to take whatever you like from there. I would love to return to try some other items. The space was very well-maintained and had some cool decor throughout. All staff I encountered, including and especially the bartender/server, were very friendly, helpful and efficient.

Wow, the brisket was the best bbq brisket I had eaten anywhere. Until today, the best I had eaten was in Texas and in Maine. Everything is clearly homemade with lots of experience and love...A heavenly brisket for sure!! The bbq beans with a variety of beans and chunks of beef that was also absolutely delicious and a standalone meal ... best beans anywhere with regard to flavor, spice, bean variety, texture and sauce ratio. And finally, the Mac and cheese was perfect, not too salty and more like the Jamaican macaroni pie ... crispy on the outside, great cheese quality, and perfectly salted wothoit being greasy.
