Went here for the first time today. Started off strong and I even told my boyfriend about how I was going to leave a 5 star review after we got our appetizer. The buffalo chicken tater tots on the Football Happy Hour menu were delicious! However, we then got our burgers. I could tell right away that my burger was not correct. I told our waitress and she agreed that the burger was not right and took it back to the kitchen. Immediately the manager brought back the SAME burger and told me I was wrong and that they brought me the correct burger. I opened the burger for her and showed her that my burger had no jalapeño jelly or cream cheese and she just walked away. I ended up having to wait for my waitress to come back and ask her to bring me cream cheese and the jelly and I had to assemble my burger myself. Nothing wrong on the waitress's part. She apologized multiple times (even though it was not her fault, and I definitely was NOT going to make her feel like it was her fault). I was VERY disappointed with the attitude of the manager on duty. We will probably be back and try it again? Yes. However, was I disappointed with the service today? Yes. The food was delicious, there was just no reason for me to have to assemble my food myself. Obviously went here again. Pamela - you sweet angel. You made a rough day wonderfully great. The food and drinks were great (I had wine, my friend had an old fashion). The fried pickles were delightful. The fries were delightful. The ambience was delightful. I am new to town, even to Colorado. But within the past few months of living here, I've been here multiple times for their service and food. I can't understand why anyone would leave a negative review unless they were just pullin' it out of left field and, like, couldn't have a special and also use a coupon. Seriously the only reason I can think of where someone would have any sort of feeling in leaving a bad review for this place. Go to McDonalds for lesser food, they won't let you have multiple deals either. We loved Back Door! It was pretty chill for a Saturday night but not dead even though it was very chilly outside. We got Old Aggies ($2 special on the weekends!), and 2 hamburgers - one was the classic double and the other the Twilight Zone. And wow -- the meat tasted so fresh, and the portion was huge! The Twilight Zone with an interesting mix of peanut butter, bacon and siracha. It was a risk but the flavor was outstanding! A healthy amount of spice from the siracha with a little peanut butter flavor. The fries were also delectable. We tried both the original and sweet potato. My only complaint was the bun was a pretzel bun and seemed store bought instead of the bun photo in the reviews that I was hoping to get when we got there. read more

Take me back to Paradise City, where the grass is green and the girls are pretty...... what a fun and busy area of Fort Collins! We are making a trek from WA to TX, and along the way we have made some stops to visit with Familia. My mom was surprised when she seen her youngest son and Fam walk up the stairs and to the main floor level. Needless to say, she was overcome with joy! I asked my bro where to meet, and this is the place we decided on based on the menu. Definitely was surprised to see the fun atmosphere but more importantly... to feel it. A few levels of fun, where the pool table is in the street level, up the stairs to the main level with plenty of seating and fun vibes. The third floor is the rooftop deck with a view of the surrounding streets, complete with its own bar and seating areas. Now onto the drinks I had the Bloody Mary (very tasty) and my brother ordered the Maple Old Fashion. Hot Diggity Damn that was delicious!! Highly highly recommend! Now the food We had some apps to start with and first time ever hearing of or having the Tater Totchos. As my good friend Smokey would say to Bandit... Summmmbitch! Unfrigginreal! This concoction of tots, queso, peppers, shredded cheese, onions, and beef... my wife and I couldn't stop. Never mind that we had Fried Pickle Spears and Gooey Sticks on the table, we devoured the Totchos. And onto the mains... and by that I mean burgers. I'm forever on a quest to find the BEST smoked brisket and burgers. The wife shared the Classic Bison Cheeseburger with mì Madrè, and it was plenty satisfying to them both. I had a New School burger... the Buzz Lightyear. Again I want to quote my buddy but that would be redundant, but I'll be damned if I didn't morph into Gollum and all my wife heard was "Precious. My precious!" Bacon, fried egg over hard, Swiss, and avocado?!? C'mon! Sadly though, can't say it's the best burger (currently a joint in South Carolina holds that title for me) I'v ever had. Out on a road trip from WA to TX and Fort Collins was a good town to meet up with family from other states. After looking online for a place neither of us have been to, we found Back Door Grill. First, Fort Collins is a very cute town, so happy we chose this cute college town. Second, so happy we picked Back Door Grill. A very nice, causal, welcoming restaurant/(bar &)grill. Although we sat in the main (floor) part of the restaurant, there is a beautiful outdoor-upstairs patio. We started with drinks; I had a simple gin and tonic (with a twist of lime) and my brother had their special maple bourbon old fashion. After tasting it, I almost wished I had chosen it. We also started with ladies night 50% off appetizers. We had fried pickles (spears), cheese sticks, and tator totchos(with Philly Beef, queso cheese, sautéed onions & green peppers). Very delicious! I shared a simple Bison classic cheese burger (with lettuce, tomato, & onion) and fries with my mom. They have some pretty yummy fancy burgers that others in our group tried and said was very delicious as well. We were so busy catching up on life, I forgot to get the "before we eat" picture Our server was very welcoming and friendly. There was two gals representing Tito's Vodka Company, giving samples (1/2 a shot) of Tito's n' Strawberry Lemonade, which was very good. They gave us drink cozies, sunglasses, and bandanas. The cozies will be great for our drinks around our pool. There was a mix up in the kitchen and the staff came out to see if any of the guest wanted a free order of beef street tacos.... never have seen that before. What great customer care/service. Even before I moved to Fort Collins, I stopped in to BDG to visit and was hooked! Now as a resident, I am still a big fan!! Stopped in today to watch the Purdue/Tennessee game and had a blast! Pamela greeted me and welcomed me to sit where I liked. Was waiting for someone to meet me so I sat down, waited for her to arrive and as soon as she did, Pamela said, how about some Bloody Mary's! Absolutely and the fun began. We ordered one Bloody, then one more and had food as well. My date had the Cobb Salad (my favorite salad btw) and I was craving breakfast so I ordered a dish dubbed the B.C.A., w/ scrambled eggs, cheddar, bacon, hash browns, avocado and jalapenos. This was the only disappointmen at BDG. This came as a wrap, something not mentioned at all on the menu and was unexpected. I eat low carb so was not really into it but I made the best of it. Sadly, all I could taste were the eggs, cheese and bacon. If it had avocado, hash browns and jalapeno, I never tasted nor saw any of the above. Oh well, the game, the drinks and the atmosphere made up for it. My dates Cobb Salad looked fantastic and she said it was great so that part was cool. The star of the show howevre was Pamela. Without a doubt, one of the best Bartender Servers I HAVE EVER HAD!! She was upbeat, professional, fun and attentive! Great mixologist too as the Bloody Mary's were outstanding!! Garnished beautifully with a sweet gherkin, pepperoncini, olive, sweet red pepper. Delicious and well made. At the end I was craving an Irish Coffee and Pamela made me a great one, complete with Bailey's and JayMo! Superb is the word that comes to mind! All in all, a great time at BDG, just as I've come to expect. This is what a Sports Bar should vibe like all time and this place does! Frankly, I've been treated the same way every time I've been there and Pamela raised the bar today! I remember the first time I ever walked into this fine establishment on a sunny day in March 2021. From the moment they opened their doors, whispers of praise began through the streets of Fort Collins and the student body of Colorado State University. I walked in and was immediately welcomed by the kind eyed wait staff. As I walked up to the oasis of the backdoor patio, I knew I had found my home. Through the years, I have grown to love the ambience, food, and celebrations that occur at the backdoor bar and grill. As my time at backdoor lengthened, I found more food items that satisfied every craving. The boneless Buffalo wings, Cesar salad, and nachos continue to gain superb ratings in my book. The drinks continue to add fun to each meal I consume, in particular, the pina colada with a screwball shooter. Backdoor continues to provide the perfect place for any celebration. Their Halloween parties, train shots, and trivia wednesdays continue to provide fun to a diverse community that comes together for the same cause-- party. After countless sporting events, afternoons that turn into nights, and amusing times spent with my friends and the backdoor staff I truly will miss this place as I exit Fort Collins. I know the backdoor bar and grill community goes beyond my collegiate education, and will be the first stop on my future visits. A special thank you to bartender extraordinaire, Maggie Letson, who continues to provide unique drinks along with a personable and intimate experience every time I enter. We absolutely loved Back Door in Steamboat so we had to try it again in the same week in Fort Collins. The atmosphere is super neat, and seems like an excellent place to watch games. The food, once again, was amazing. The original gets the 5 star of course but I would say this one is a very close second. They were out of the Porta-fries and my burger came out minus the creamy Sriracha. They were a bit slow on the beers, but truly, none of this is as bad as it may seem. This place kicked me out because in was walking on crutches, when my friend came to talk to them they seemed less worried about the whole situation and more focused on the fact they had the power to kick me out if they wanted to over proper customer service. I had knee surgery 2 months ago and they kicked me out for "not sitting properly". From my point of view, it seemed more like a nieve than it having to do with anything drinking-wise. The owner did not want to talk to me because I was walking on crutches and I feel his reason for kicking me out was rather unjustified. it is by far the worst service I've had in the state in the state of Fort Collins.
