We went in the night we got married on Bull Shoals on 10-08-2025. Friend of mine had told us about the place. By the time we got there it appeared as if they where getting ready to close for the night. We ordered appetizer of stuffed jalapeno shrimp. They where good. Wife ordered a chicken snadwhich, she said was ok. I ordered the Hamburger steak combo, and a side of chili. The picture attached is what I received. A frozen processed hamburger patty, sid eof chili that tasted like it had sugar in it, NO FRIES, and gravy with really bad toast. WAS not the experience I had heard about. Was expecting more I guess. This place is an ecoli poisoning waiting to happen. The hamburgers (a premade patty) sat in an open container behind the cash register, uncovered, not refrigerated or on ice, and looked as though they had sat there all day. Onion rings straight out of the box, nothing creative nor even close to hand-battered. For me, we will not return, and frankly, the health department needs to inspect for food temperature and required food handling guidelines. read more

Had lunch here today with my hubby Bob. We each had the Barn buster 1/2 lb burger w cheese. We shared 1/2 orders of beer battered onion rings, breaded mushrooms & steak fries. Our server was very nice and checked on us often. Our fries came out late so she took them off the bill. We both thought that was very nice. If you want a good burger in Mountain Home, Ar I recommend The Back Forty or Colton's. These are freshly made burgers not frozen. read more

Took my elderly parents here for their first time, along with my usual gang, we've been coming for years. Nice to know, it's the same great burgers as always. Great juicy burger (barn buster) cooked just the way I like it medium well, awesome fresh potato fries, free popcorn while you wait, COLD beer, clean bathrooms... they were very clean especially for an after lunch crowd, attentive staff, fast service, friendly staff and patrons. It appears it's back to the quality Back Forty we all knew and loved, or it was last week when I was there! Going back to being a regular! Great place, if your looking for a great hamburger there's is like the way hamburgers were once made. 1/3 pound of flavor. There chicken sandwich is dynamite also. The food is good the Ozark fries are made fresh. Not frozen. Hamburgers are good and they will cook them the way you like them. I like mine medium well. They have a few games in the back pinball the crane game. They have free popcorn while you wait for your food. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. All in all a good experience. Used to eat here a lot. Boycotted it several months ago. The barnbuster used to be the best burger around here. Now it's same price but lower quality. After eating here for well over 10 years i go in one day, we order and eat. We go to pay and now all of a sudden they don't take credit or debit cards. It's not posted, and no one told us or the people coming in behind us. So I was forced to use their atm they have and got charged an extra 5 bucks to take out 20 bucks. I heard it changed ownership, if so, these people do not care about the customer and made it obvious. read more

We have heard raves about the big burgers. We thought theirs were half pound and my guys weren't very hungry so they decided to split one. Wrong choice! I ended up eating half and giving them a quarter of mine so they ended up with three quarters of a burger each. GET YOUR OWN BURGER!
