I have only eaten here twice. First time in 2021 and today 6/30/2026. Not real impressed with the first visit and today's visit was terrible. You cook your eggs in too hot of a pan. You will never get them right that way. We will not be back. I drive by a lot and they always have plenty of customers. Figured they got better in the last couple years. Quantity over quality isn't for everyone though. Bacon was good. I am at the point I will hardly eat out at a restaurant. It's like throwing your money away. Sad. read more

This is a very fun little place for breakfast and a lot of times they will have a local band playing pancakes are huge and Service is great but sometimes there's a wait because there's a line trying to get in but it moves pretty quickly. Don't miss out on this one. read more

I always seek out breakfast places, but by the time I got around to breakfast today, it was almost 11 a.m. There was a line when I arrived, but I got my buzzer and waited (about 10 - 15 minutes) a reasonable amount of time for a table to open as the place was hopping. Another reviewer referred to the well oiled machine, and I concur. As soon as a table was vacated, someone was cleaning it and buzzing a guest to be seated while everyone seemed to be bringing out food and taking orders to keep things moving. I ordered a cup of coffee which was a great value at only $1, and enjoyed that while waiting for food. I thought about the eggs and ham steak, but the fish special was too good to resist. The amount of food on the plate was impressive which made the meal a great value. The beans needed salt, but that was an easy adjustment for me to make. And while sweet cornbread is not a personal favorite of mine, it went well with the beans and did fine on its own (almost like a cake texture). The slaw was so so, but the fish was amazing. One server kept bringing around fresh hot fish periodically to keep everyone's plate full. For me, this was an amazing meal in an environment that was run efficiently with very friendly staff. There were other breakfast options in the area, but I'm glad I went with Brenda's. I would definitely return on a future visit to the area. read more

Get here early! We got the there at 9am on a Saturday and once we sat down the other open tables quickly filled and then a humongous line formed. The food was amazing. The service was friendly however don't arrive if you are in a hurry. They move at their own pace but once we finally got service the food came out quickly. Kind of a quirky small town spot. They told us it would be a 25 minute wait. We told them four and a high chair. Despite telling them twice (4 & a high chair) they kept us as a table for 5. We found out we were passed up for two people twice as they kept us as a party of five. We have three little kids and sat waiting for drinks while setting the tables of large parties who got here long after we did getting food and drinks. We almost left and finally got served. This is your basic good ole small town cafe that serves breakfast and lunch through 2:00pm. We enjoy coming here for breakfast while we come to the lake for the weekend and the food a d service is always fast and delicious. They turn their tables quickly so if you see there is a wait, it usually won't take too long. I personally love their veggie omelet which contains all fresh (no canned) veggies and cheddar cheese (not American). Their cottage fries are delicious which are baked potatoes that have been cubed and deep fried--(try them with sour cream). The pancake is huge, literally the size of the plate and perfectly cooked as well as delicious. The waitresses are super friendly and help one another out so don't hesitate to ask any of them for anything you may need. read more

Brenda's Cafe is a hot little spot that serves out some delicious food. I wished I kept the menu to see what else they had to serve. I was set from the get-go when I saw the fried-chicken special. The chicken was a huge portion and generous mashed potatoes and choice of gravy. Green beans with bacon chunks further elaborated the meal. We enjoy eating at Brenda's when camping at Lake Norfork. The food is always fresh and hot and the staff has always been very friendly. A country diner that is usually swamped at peak hours so we try to avoid that. It's almost camping season and I'm ready for Brenda's breakfasts! read more

It is hard for me to write a negative review of this place because there are good things to say. We just had such a strange experience there that I can't recommend it. The only two redeeming qualities of this place were the manager and the second waitress. Otherwise this would have been a 1 star review. Pros: 1. The owner (manager?) was extremely warm, welcoming and nice. Most of the folks there appear to be locals and she greeted them by name. 2. The pancakes are large enough to fill an entire plate. I thought they were delicious. 3. Our replacement waitress (see below) was very very sweet. She even brought out a donut for my son who was starving after our long wait time. Cons: 1. We were told the wait time would be 20 min. It was at least 45. 2. During our wait time, a 3 piece band with speakers set up in the small dining room. The music was good, but it was so loud that we could not enjoy our meal, let alone have a conversation. 3. We were seated directly in front of the band. When we asked to move, the waitress was extremely rude and we ended up sitting at the original table. 4. The tables were PACKED in, extremely close together. I have never seen anything like it. 5. I had my baby sitting on the table in front of me. The waitress walked up and said "I'm not bringing your coffee until you remove your child from the table". Now, I understand that they want to keep everyone safe, but there are ways to politely make a request. This waitress honestly had THE WORST attitude. 6. My husband was unable to finish his chicken fried steak because it was so salty. 7. We walked out of the restaurant and straight into a cloud of smoke from patrons stepping out for a mid-meal smoke break. It was the icing on the cake of a pretty bad experience. read more

Well, I received my food at Bobby Sues, faster than the time it took to be greeted at Brenda's! Two girls working, total disorganization, when someone finally came by, I got a coffee, then again nothing, they walked by several times. Never did try the food, it took way too long, the place is dimly lit, dingy and drafty. It's only a couple minutes away from a real restaurant, don't waste your time. read more

It is on the east side of town about a mile or so past the bypass intersection on 412. The food was delicious and the service was great. A little busy so be patient it is worth the wait. read more

Came in and had to wait longer than necessary as the server was busy talking to friends. Went to leave and they apologized so we stayed. Had a ham only omelet which came with cheese. My wife ate it and we took hers home. Coffee was ok. We got badgered by a customer raving about Trump and tried to start a conversation about him and the stupid Democrats. I'm a Democrat and didn't come here to debate some fool over politics. Sorry, the food was not memorable and the conversation irritating. I know it won't be a loss to them but we won't be back. read more
