Guys in the pro shop are great. Paul and Mike make a sometimes hectic pace (it does get crowded and they host loads of events) Looking forward to the club house opening up. Hopefully the one area they need to improve (concessions) will be greatly improved.

It literally gives many of the private courses in the area a run for its money. Greens fees for 18 holes are affordable; if you are from out of town 18 holes can run you around $135 with a cart, but the premium is totally worth it! I believe if you are a county resident you receive a pretty good discounted rate. Nonetheless, they are in the midst of building a new clubhouse, and have completely renovated most of the course. The tee boxes are OK for a municipal, but the fairways and greens are epic! The greens roll true, and it's a fun Florida dune style course. I had a great experience and a pleasurable round. I see it possibly becoming the premier public course in the State of Florida.

In the traditional style of the private owned country club community, this Vero Beach area retreat is often the 2nd or 3rd vacation home for purchasing families - an unusual concentration being from the St. Louis area. The Club is a bit Disney vacation in its own right, with cool camps for different age brackets. Beautiful golf courses and formal club house dining. The 4th of July gathering was amazing. All-inclusive dining event with private fireworks on the immediate beach front. All-night facepainting, balloon artists and party favors for the future generations of the resort community. Not surprising that's not the most ethinically diverse place - I was a bit of a Malibu Barbie standout. Who thought Polo shirt dresses and TopSiders without socks were still in vogue!

My group was removed from the course after we accidentally picked up the wrong golf ball. We immediately apologized, but despite this, we were treated harshly and unfairly. A white woman involved in the situation looked at us with clear hostility, and we were made to feel dehumanized and targeted. We attempted to explain what happened, but Jo Jo sided with the other party without hearing us out or offering any explanation. When I asked if we were being treated this way because we are Black, the reaction from her and others nearby was a look I will never forget. I strongly advise others to avoid this course. It is poorly maintained and, more importantly, does not appear to be welcoming or respectful to Black or Hispanic golfers. I will not be returning and encourage others to take a stand against this kind of behavior.
