The boot fitter put me into a pair of K2 that were like putting my foot into gloves. Soft inside, yet firm enough that I knew they would be responsive. After I had custom foot beds put in - we realized that the new boots had a completely different bottom and therefore wouldn't clip into my Blizzard Black Pearls. I bought this year's model of Black Pearls with new bindings. My old skis (less than 3 years old) were then handed down to my adult daughter who had been using them since my surgeries. They also had a sale (mid-march), which was actually pretty significant. I was in the market for new ski pants, tried on a bunch of options and settled on a pair that was marked down from $250 to $160, not bad. I then had to stop myself from purchasing other cute fleeces and gear that I really didn't need. I had an easy time trying on and checking out. Overall pretty great experience.

A friend mentioned that I should check them out to get some help with trying to get my new snowboard set up. They are by far the best snowboard/skateboard/sneaker business I've been in. So glad that I found them and I can avoid the large corporate stores that have similar products but lack the expertise and outstanding customer support that Satellite has. Wisely they moved the North Metro location to Boulder. I know many of the staff on a first name basis and they never steer me wrong. My husband is the avid camper, hiker , adventurer, but I have been lucky to find xc skis here for years, to have my bike serviced here and most recently have bought much footwear and casual outdoor seasonal wear. What I was looking for today was not yet in stick for summer but I will look again next week when the spring/summer sale starts. With a membership there are so many perks so the savings are huge, especially kf you use their partner credit card. Even leaving empty handed today, it was a fun experience . And when my husband needs a new tent, no matter how small in comparison to this display today, he will get it here and at a good price for exceptional quality.

The changerooms here are big and comfortable, easily fitting me and my energetic toddler. My one complaint is that the customer service is a little lackluster. The employees were mostly gathered together around the cash in the center of the room and there were only a couple of other customers in the shop while I was there. It would have been nice to feel like someone was nearby to help instead of having to seek someone out every time I had a question. Maybe it's different when the store is busier, but I did feel a bit neglected.
