I decided to try the "whole hog" and from the size of the sandwich, they aren't kidding. It is so large, one has to use the giant knife stabbed in the top of the sandwich to cut it into bite-size pieces. The combo of meats, sauce and seasoning makes for a delicious meal. The mashed potatoes and gravy was also good. Our server was excellent. He kept my sweet tea, and it was nice and sweet, full. He even brought me a to-go glass. The interior is decorated nicely, but some of the music they play, not so good. Overall, a great place to get a fast, hot, tasty meal. read more

The restaurant was clean and the location is great because it's in the same parking lot as a great ice cream shop. Service here has always been excellent and tbh that's why I keep coming back. And for the wings of course . I have yet to try the breakfast but i hear that is great as well. Here for breakfast once again, has to be the best breakfast spot in the Winchester area portions are huge and a reasonable price. Staff is great and welcoming. They serve gores sausage and my omelette was over stuffed but one of the best parts for me is the potatoes, they use real potatoes and cook them on the grill and they are nice and crispy. Bar and Grill on the Northside of town. Backseat is open for breakfast , lunch and dinner. They also often have late night entertainment - live music. The bar offers a full selection. Wine list is very limited. They do have IPAs on draft as well as all the major beer brands. The bar itself is very large and there is plenty of tables for seating. They have indoor cornhole when not too crowded. The place is typical of a sports bar with many TVs for viewing. Ok , about the food. They offer a wide menu including diner favorites, burgers and wings. The food is cooked fresh. I tried the wings- they are probably the best in town ! Stopped by lunch on 3/27 with my wife. It's a cute restaurant, bar. It has retro diner feel to the decor. I has a fish sandwich with a side of Mac and Cheese. The fish sandwich was OK. The fish didn't seem to be handmade. The filet was too perfectly cut to be "homemade". The served store bought tarter sauce on the side. Tarter sauce is not hard to make. Homemade is much better. The Mac and cheese was decent, it could be creamier. My wife said the burger was tasty although the patty lacked seasoning. The onion rings were very tasty, by far the best thing we ate today. The sauce for the onion rings were very tasty. I would probably give it another half star if that was an option. I would probably try it again, I've heard they have great wings. read more

Had the unfortunate experience of eating at this establishment tonight on Jan 1, took the family and the food was mediocre and overpriced! Had appetizers of fried pickles and egg-rolls, at best it was mediocre. My hamburger was a glorified bubba burger with some cheese and mushrooms, and cold! I really tried to like this place but was not happy when paying, so be careful when paying by card because there is an extra charge for using your card! As far as service, we saw our server twice the whole time we were there, and when asking the bar service area a question, we received nothing but attitude!! Definitely not worth the visit, and will not be returning. read more

If negative stars were a thing, it would have negative 10. We Go to see a band play and the waitress sits us at a certain table. Well after the place fills up the waitress comes up to us and says "wouldnuou mind moving, We were supposed to reserve this table and forgot." After a short conversation it becomes clear that we don't have a choice on moving and we had to move to the back of the room. I understand that you made a mistake but that is not our fault and on top of that, we didn't sit at that table on our own will, we were told by staff that that's where we need to sit. If that's not enough, our orders took a minimum of 1 hour and 45 minutes to come out. Wings and bacon cheese fries should never take that long. I will never do business there again and would suggest that nobody who reads this ever go there. read more

I spoke with the owner (I know she is the owner because my sister introduced me to her when I was there with her). Her response was shocking, I do not have any tables open. So CONFUSED. First time there (saw a cover band (Motley Crue) and they ROCKED!!). GOOD: Great time!! Wings, Beer, laughter and such. BAD: I paid my bill and left, all good (or so I thought). A few days later I saw that my bill had an additional $10 added to my bill (glad I kept a copy of the receipt). I really didn't like that happened. That's low and not a good business practice. My family has done take-out here once. That was enough for us. The pricing is outrageous for the food received. We expected some REALLY fantastic stuff for the cost, (and based on reviews) but, we ended up with slop. Our home was within 6 minutes of this location. So, it's not like the food sat too long before we got to it. Yet, my $10.99 taco salad was mush. There was no crispy tortilla. It was a grease filled mess. Which, perhaps I could've overlooked, if the tomatoes didn't contain the pieces meant for disposal, if the lettuce wasn't soaked in what I can only assume was water, and the meat had almost no flavor. Like it never made it far enough down the line to be seasoned before assembly. I wanted so badly to love this place, as so many others seem to. But, the wait time, the cost, and the final product has me thinking we'll just pass by. read more

Used to love coming here, but over the past year service has gotten so bad. It's routine now to sit a minimum of 20 minutes before your existence is acknowledged. Wow this place is a incredible. Too much going on to take pictures, but suffice to say the breakfast here was wonderful, flavorful, filling and economical. I ordered the biscuit with gravy, two eggs, and coffee with a side of grits and swapped out the eggs for another biscuit for $7.99. My wife ordered a hotcake special with pancakes, chipped beef gravy and home fries which was equally delicious as she shared her potatoes with me, and her platter came to $7.95. You can't go wrong with this place and the ambiance is like walking back into Arnold's Diner on Happy Days. They are set up for outside dining and have a bar area on the other side of the restaurant for enjoying a beer or two along with catching the game on TV. I will only be giving them the extra star due to the food being good, everything else is a disaster. Been coming here for a long time and the service has gone down drastically. I normally am very patient, but having to hunt down the server every time we need something is a pain. I love going out to see the locals, but why would I want to listen to the same 3 bands every time I go? It feels like every time I look at their socials it's the same few bands playing, and it's sad the other great groups aren't playing anymore. Not to mention the last time I went the band was terrible, I was shocked as they play the venue all the time. Not to get political, as I personally don't have much to say about any of it, but putting any political figures face in your urinal as a "joke" for all your patrons just sets a weird precedent. I rarely deal with much racism with my black friend, however it seems that coming here will guarantee some dirty looks, if not flat out people making some rather unsavory comments. Maybe if they have a takeout option I would do that, but I won't be going back. Maybe the event center for a good show, but that's doubtful. read more

We waited to order more food for over 20 min. The wait for food wasn't bad at all after being ordered. Our nachos came out messed up. But another server helped with that immediately. Asked for a refill for my water, took my glass and didn't get my water for 15-20 min. When it came time for the bill I asked our waitress about the $5 special. She seemed annoyed. When she brought it back she said she had to chase someone down to adjust it for me. Once again seemed annoyed. Normally I never leave reviews but I was shocked how bad the service was. This is a great place to see a band. This is not a great place to eat! We arrived at 6:57 and did not receive our food until 8:20. Your food will sit on the bar for a minimum of 20 minutes before you receive it. Both our meals were cold and one was short LTO but it did include a hair. That being said, I will pregame and return to this location to drink and see local bands BUT not to eat. Not sure the billing was correct for my beer tab either. We've been here several times and haven't had a bad experience regarding the food. We did have a server that never tended to or needs. She was sitting a few tables at eith another server taking and laughing with her back ti us. We'r didn't have drinks, condiments we'r needed for our food, a two bite check in, nothing. Ive been a server in the past and understand tips is what servers love off of. I typically tip 50% or more... but not that time. I also explain fid to the server, nicely, hoping they get the point and fix what was wrong. A server can make or break a dining experience. But food is always good. Love the burgers. read more
