Wonderful service! Fresh food served hot in large portions. 20th century counter diner feel all the way. Awesome!

From the outside, you might not realize the gem of a place this is! The food is made fresh to order. The poor guy behind the counter was doing everything. While we had to wait a bit for the food, it was worth it. The Philly cheese steak and the bacon and ham club were amazing!

Unbelievable. So great. Perfect atmosphere for home style breakfast. Get much more than u pay for and quality is top notch. Just walked in owner is diesel and also chef. Got cheesesteak omelette. Best ever and I've had a lot of these. Will come back anytime I'm in town. It's a can't miss spot for breakfast or lunch.

Was pleasantly surprised to find outdoor seating and service. Even more pleased to find a great selection of good food served on real dishes with real cutlery. The steamed shrimp and salmon were approved by my daughter and I enjoyed the Pub Burger. Will bring the car club here sometime. Highly recommended.

Cheese omelet with home fries and toast at the Piccadilly Grill in Winchester VA

There is nothing fancy at all about this little joint that is a block or two away from the pedestrian mall in Winchester. It's a grill and that's about it. If you're looking for a salad or Eggs Benedict or a prime rib, go elsewhere. This is breakfast food for locals and it's great stuff. I sat at the counter and had a good view of the grill. I was able to watch the cook pull the potatoes from the drawer, run them over the grater right onto the grill, slice up some onions and cook my home fries right to order. Just when they were nearly done, eggs were cracked into a bowl, mixed up and poured onto the grill, topped with cheese, flipped, folded and put on the plate with my toast. Fresh and made to order is the order of the day here. I can't complain about anything at all here. It's cheap. It's quick. It's fresh. Is it fancy? Nope and they don't try to be.

The indoor seating was on the small side but the ac was great! A lot of local beer to choose from to make your own six pack to go too! Also, outdoor seating with umbrellas. No "full" bar so some drink options weren't available- like a martini for example. We ordered off the brunch menu and most of our plates were left totally empty. Honorable mention to the chicken and waffles, just the right about of succulent chicken and crunchy exterior. My French toast was very yummy too. Portions are larger which is nice. Our peach Bellini carafe afforded a few of us a glass with our meal. The crispy brussels cane highly recommended but they were a little charred for my taste. Service was prompt and courteous. A great brunch spot through and through!

The bill was about $120, which felt reasonable for the quality of the food. Unfortunately, the service really brought the experience down. Our server was clearly overwhelmed and had far too many tables. She was perfectly pleasant and seemed to be doing her best, but it took about 20 minutes before we could even ask for unsweetened butter for the rolls. The butter they initially brought was so sweet it tasted like buttercream frosting, which was not at all to my taste, and then it took another 10 minutes to actually get the replacement. I really wanted to love this place because the food was excellent, but this was a Monday evening. If the restaurant is this understaffed on a Monday, I can only imagine how much worse the service is on a busy weekend. As much as I enjoyed the food, I don't think I'd go back.

Walked in to the very small space and were told we needed to order online, so we got out our phones and scanned one of the many QR code signs posted on every surface anordered - two bagels, one with cream cheese and the other with butter. He confirmed he received the orders immediately- even before the payment had gone through. That seemed like a good sign. We waited and watched while he made salads and other orders for people who presumably ordered online before us, but didn't come in to pick up while we were there. Eventually he made our bagels, put them in cardboard baskets, covered them with aluminum foil (not sure why we needed that cardboard waste -- would have been happy with my bagel just wrapped in foil), covered them with paper towels, put them each in separate paper bags, and placed them on the counter while calling our names (even though we were the only people in the place and he had confirmed he knew who we were when he received the order). We took the bagels and walked across the street and got our coffees from the cute cat cafe with the friendly staff. Hit the road, and pulled out our bagels in the car. First bite was so bad that I tossed the rest of the bagel back in the bag... it was so crunchy it was more of a thick bagel chip, and shards of bagel stuck between my teeth like splinters. Certainly one-of-a-kind, I've never had another bagel like it. About 10 miles later I was hungry enough to get the bagel out and try again... this time I kneaded it through the aluminum foil a bit to bread it up first. It was still very crunchy and sharp, but there were some softer bits toward the middle. There wasn't much flavor, except where it was drenched in butter (and those bites tasted like butter, which isn't a bad taste I guess). TLDR, if you want bagels in Winchester WV skip this place and go to Sclafani's.
