The service at the bar was attentive and friendly. We go to several of the locations and this one is most consistent. Today, we had appetizers. Burrata is a generous portion with crusty bread, delicious cherry compote to complement the burrata and roasted grapes. Dumpling Daughter chicken dumplings are presented well with cabbage slaw, immersed in dipping sauce with Asian pickles - tasty but a little overdone. Buffalo wings are solid with excellent blue cheese that is a cut above. Vibrant atmosphere with plenty of screens. Watched the Red Sox defeat the Giants. Great to go to before a movie nearby.

Last night I had the steakhouse burger (partner had the same) with sweet potato fries and a glass of their house red. All very good, I would gladly come back for these items. My partner was also happy with his meals both times. The service was wonderful! It was a crowded Friday night, and the bar was full, but we were able to order our wine right away thanks to the attentive bartenders. Our table came up sooner than estimated, and our waiter was attentive and friendly. Our food came out quickly. We'll be back!

I don't even know where to begin--5 stars all around! The Barn at Gibbet Hill is truly something…read morespecial. The Venue & Team: Having grown up in the next town over, Gibbet Hill has always held a special place in my heart. It's where my husband and I went on early dates and celebrated anniversaries, so when we got engaged, I dreamed of a beautiful winter wedding at The Barn. I honestly assumed it would be outside of our budget, but after touring multiple venues, I quickly realized that Gibbet Hill was right on par in price--and incredibly willing to work with any budget. Nothing else compared. Nothing checked all the boxes the way The Barn did. Shoutout Bree--our coordinator, planner, event manager, director of sales, and overall wedding miracle worker. She is FANTASTIC, and I cannot speak highly enough of her. From our very first phone call, she walked me through every option, every detail, every add‑on--with endless patience. I had quite a bit of anxiety around planning, especially since we didn't start until about seven months before the big day, but she made the entire experience seamless. With 300+ weddings under her belt, she knew exactly how to guide us. She helped us design our menu, advised us on where to splurge or save, coordinated the timeline with all our vendors, and even bustled my dress. She made sure we had a quiet 15‑minute moment together after the ceremony--just us, taking it all in with appetizers. She went above and beyond in every single way to make our day easy, special, and absolutely stress‑free. We LOVED working with her. The Space: The barn itself is stunning--warm, elegant, and adaptable. It's spacious enough for a 200‑person celebration yet intimate enough for smaller weddings. We had 75 guests, and the way they set up and decorated the room made it feel breathtakingly beautiful. The Food: OUT. FREAKING. STANDING. Our guests are still talking about it six months later. We chose family‑style dining, and it was such a fun, interactive experience--everyone loved getting to try everything rather than choosing just one entrée. The steak, the fish, the mushroom cream tortellini (incredible!), the broccolini, the mashed potatoes--everything was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. I would recommend the family‑style option a thousand times over. The Staff: Every single person--from the waitstaff to the bartenders to the behind‑the‑scenes team--was phenomenal. A special shoutout to Shannon, our dedicated server for the night. She kept our drinks topped off, reminded me to switch into comfortable shoes, and made sure we were having the best day of our lives. If you're considering getting married at The Barn at Gibbet Hill--do it. Planning with their team is smooth, easy, and completely stress‑free. It was everything we dreamed of and more. I can't recommend it highly enough!

It's been a few years since we visited Evviva. My sister invited us for the Wednesday dinner…read morespecial so we were eager to head back. We were promptly seated and our waitress (Darcy) was phenomenal. So kind and attentive. Three is us got the meal deal and everything was delicious. Salad, half entree and mini dessert for 20 dollars is a steal. We all brought home leftovers, so don't worry that the 1/2 order is not enough. It's more than plenty. Especially if you ask for bread-which is served with a(to die for) garlic olive oil for dipping. The cannoli are prepared fresh so the cannoli shells are crisp. We also found the dining room less noisy than in the past. Overall it was a delicious meal and we look forward to going back soon!

After she left, I waited for the blonde host to address me. She blankly instead stared behind me for a few minutes and I watched her confused. Is she high? I wondered but finally moved on when the other brunette host asked if I was dining inside. Yes, 6 seats and a high chair I requested. The high chair we were given had a broken belt. Later when we were seated I switched the chair for another one behind me. Keeping broken high chairs should be illegal. Anyway, I was very impressed with the children's menu. It was plentiful and had options for everyone. Each meal came with icecream as well :) The food was delicious. I split the hot honey chicken wrap with my husband along with a plate of calamari. The calamari dish and sauce was one of the best I have had in a restaurant in a long time. I was impressed. Anyway, the 4 star rating is more for the tasty food and having an excellent kids menu. Otherwise, I would have given this establishment a 3 star rating. We had to request waters to be served to us which was insane to me. Unless we requested a waters, our waitress refused to bring us any. It made no sense.

Update after a few more visits has them down to a 4 based on inconsistency…read more -- Roast Chicken: Hearty fall/winter dish with crisp skin, herbs aplenty, and gravy underneath, with roasted carrots and mashed potatoes. A little dry in the interior. No longer on the menu as of last week. -- Grilled Shrimp: Plump shrimp whose paprika-heavy rub and grill flavor balanced the butteriness, with a pepper aioli joining as well. On top, pickled fennel. Underneath, grilled sourdough that soaked in the grill, butter, and seafood flavors. Fantastic but no longer on the menu as of last week. -- Forge & Vine Cheeseburger: All the same ingredients as on a Big Mac, only of much higher quality, on a thick burger of high quality. I've been hoping to relive the glory of my first burger here (see previous review), but it's been rocky. Good grill flavor and outer crusting, but medium to medium well when I ordered medium rare. (Yes, I mentioned it to the server and manager.) Still a pretty good burger, and the bacon I added this time was thick and walking the tightrope between crispy and bendy. But a big miss on hitting greatness again. So I gave it another chance the next visit, and it was again overdone. But this time I sent it back, and the one they sent out was very good. The most recent visit only required one try: excellent, with the right crust outside and proper pink and juicy inside, along with a solid assortment of vegetables and condiments. An exemplary burger-- when they cook it right. -- Calamari: An eye-catching appetizer with the mostly thin rings pretty much treated like chicken wings, with a spicy tangy glaze, an aïoli underneath, and some kimchi on top for presentation. Very good crunch and flavor, but thicker pieces would have allowed a better tasting of the seafood itself. Still very enjoyable and I'd get it again. -- Shrimp Cocktail: Solid job, good size, presented in ice with lemon wedges and a cocktail sauce a little light on the horseradish. -- Grilled Swordfish Meunière: A thick slab, lightly grilled, fairly. A thin brown butter sauce, capers, and sautéed mustard greens added some much needed moisture and oomph. No longer on the menu as of last week. -- Jimmy Nardello Peppers: Long, bright red, no heat, slightly sour, and somewhat fruity like peppadew, dressed up with garlic aioli, chimichurri, and coriander seed. Outstanding. Great beer pairing. Beautiful space. Good to outstanding service. Cody pours his heart and soul into the experience, exuding enthusiasm from the greeting through the check. Some might find it a little overdramatic, but after enduring too many AWOL and near-comatose servers elsewhere, I can't get enough of it. I like this place, and consider it good to very good, but it seems like the proteins (especially the grilled items) turn up a little too dry a little too often to consider them great. Their pricing is high but well worth it when the execution is there. When it's not, it's a too-expensive just-okay. Despite the inconsistency, going with a 4 based on the most recent visit being problem-free.

Still a beautiful place with lovely atmosphere. The food is still disappointing. I had a scallop starter. It looked like 2 scollops that was cut in half. Smaller than a quarter, served on a shell on a bed of very Fishy smelling seaweed for $24. Drinks were good and service was great. If you are going to sell your protein based on size, like you do with your steaks, then maybe start doing the same with weight size for seafood products. Quantity and quality is important.
