A server came back to ask if the gluten free request was an allergy or not as the deep fryer would be cross contaminated. Not an issue for our friends. What arrived was a bowl of chewy calamari sitting in oil. Most unpleasant and really not something we would eat. We mentioned to our waiter who then said since they are gluten free they can't coat or fry them. So, not sure where the disconnect was. They took them away and removed them from the bill. No harm. For our lunch we all thouroughly enjoyed the sushi we ordered. The portions were generous, the fish was fresh and tasty. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

The one-and-a-half-pound lobster was sweet, tender, and practically melted in my mouth. I wasn't in love with my pasta dish. The scallops, however, completely stole the show. They tasted as though they had been pulled from the ocean just moments before being cooked perfectly fresh, sweet, and delicate. Unfortunately, the pasta itself was undercooked and lacked flavor, even after the Parmesan cheese finally arrived. The strawberry shortcake was the perfect dessert on a hot Fourth of July afternoon. It was light, fresh, and exactly what we wanted to finish the meal. And the oysters? Absolutely phenomenal. Every single day. They were consistently fresh, delicious, and one of the main reasons we kept coming back. While the service has plenty of room for improvement, the kitchen is doing something truly special.
