The Outlook has great year round views of Nashoba Valley ski area through floor-to-ceiling windows and a roaring fireplace in winter. The lunch menu is pretty typical pub fare but their salads stand out--I love the spinach salad topped with grilled salmon (someone in the kitchen really knows how to cook fish!). I can't believe this place isn't packed year round--I guess people assume it closes after the ski season. The Outlook is one of my Metro West favorites.

I already licked a bit of the glass! So yummy!

Steaks, seafood, burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups and a fabulous seven-layer chocolate cake (a must try)! This location is part of our rotation and we look forward to it every time. We've tried almost everything on the menu and always come back to the steaks. Yes, they're pricey right now - but that's everywhere! The brunch menu is expansive and have fun cocktails too. This time our server Maya H. was an absolute pleasure. She was super friendly and efficient. We look forward to the dining experience here - kudos to the staff and chef!

My regular fries were overcooked. Not good. My son offered his truffle fries, but they were horrible. Tasted like rancid olive oil with tons of garlic. Literally the worst fries I've ever had. Others at the table tasted them and agreed they were horrible. My brother and father ordered Oktoberfest beers. They started to drink them and realized they weren't Oktoberfest. They told the waitress she must have accidentally brought them the wrong beers, and she said she brought them something else because they were out of Oktoberfest. Who does that? Provide something other than what was ordered and don't tell them?

The peach shady was so delicious haven't had anything like that, so refreshing and enjoyable. The peach greens salad was also amazing light and fresh. The warm spinach artichoke dip w warm toasted pita was great, a bit too much layer of cheese on top for me but delicious. Short rib sandwich w chips was excellent. Chips not too salty. Grilled cheese w truffle fries also excellent. Fries not too salty and the right seasoning. Very well done on quality and quantity. Wonderful experience!

Five stars for ambiance, two for food…read more The restaurant itself is lovely. It feels like you're in an old home. Lots of rustic touches and decorations that give character. Service was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the food was just not that great. I ordered the 1/2 soup, 1/2 sandwich with the butternut squash bisque and the butternut squash sandwich. The squash was good but it had a thick layer of oil on top that wouldn't mix in, so sometimes you would just get a mouthful of oil. The sandwich was very bland. It was the vegan option with butternut squash, portobello mushrooms, lettuce, and some kind of bean spread. The spread had a nice hint of sweetness but overall the sandwich was quite flavorless. Even if they had roasted the squash and let it caramelize a little that would have gone a long way. I know vegan food is not always a restaurant's forte but at this point that's no excuse. The wine we chose, the estate vignoles, was very unique, with a dry, apple-like flavor. I really enjoyed it. Overall, I would come back for a wine tasting but not for a meal.

The place was quiet, which allowed Ben to sirens time talking to us and giving is the ones and outs of his creations. Our server was Sienna, who was bright and personable, and worked side by side with Chef Ben to make our meal memorable. We started our meal with oysters. Chef gave us his recommendations and they were has delicious as he hyped them up to be. Then we tried the lobster guacamole, which the star of the shows was actually the bacon lardon that's layered in. A must try for anyone who loves this dip. I had the pineapple braised pulled pork tacos. I could barely finish two, yet alone the 3 healthy sized tacos. And my girlfriend was treated to both the crab cake and the specialty salmon cakes. She proclaimed the salmon the winner of that cake battle. For desert, which we didn't finish either, was the berry cobbler. I compared it to an oversized toaster strudel, but homemade and much more flavorful. Overall, we love it here. This is our 2nd trip and we'll be sure to come again soon! Pro Tip: sit at the Oyster Bar, watching the kitchen working is a phenomenal experience. Thank you again to Chef Ben and Sienna! And look, they also have events coming up!!

Crispy Korean sandwich was excellent. The baked tortellini. Bolognese was extremely salty. Definitely a solid comfort food. We were able to sit at the patio, which was bright and comforting. The inside atmosphere is way too dark for me. Almost like going into a nightclub. Coming in for seating was a bit frustrating. They had four people as graders. But had no clue where to see us so we walked around the entire place. I wanted to sit us at a high top then I said no thank you you rather have a table and then just made up my mind like just see us outside at a table. They clearly have no direction on what they're receiving plans should be to benefit the wait staff. They do have a very excellent beer menu. Generally not a beer drinker, but it's always nice to go in here and find something that you're going to like.
