    Delicious Greek Chicken Salad
    Chee K.

This was a pleasant surprise. I have to go to wrestling tournaments and I'm not the biggest fan of the high school concession stand. I found this place near the meet on Yelp. It came through. Even at peak hour, the place had superb service. Everyone from greeter to the sever was super friendly. They took our order fast, and the food came out faster. If you think it would lack in food quality, you're wrong. The food is fresh, hot and delicious. I had a Greek chicken salad and it was large, quality ingredients and evenly dressed. I tried a bite of my husband's dish and it was also delicious. I noticed this place seemed very popular and busy but the service was so good! Wish we had something like this in our area, just good regular food with very good service. They had lots of beer choices too and many sport TVs but not so loud you couldn't have a conversation. This place was a hit!

A little disappointed after reading the other reviews. Our server didn't take our order for a while after we were seated - even as we watched people sat after us getting their drinks and food. She kept disappearing - our food was brought by another server and the same server processed our check. I had a burger that was good and he had a club sandwich. Standard pub with tables and booths.

It's Alaskan Fish Sandwich, not a burger! Fries good!

The food was great. The service excellent. The decor and ambiance also great! It's a bar! You'd expect it to be noisy! There's exciting sports on TV, of course, you'll hear a loud screams now & then. Sometimes, you're old and not used to people screaming anymore, but sometimes you forget, there's younger people than you there. Heck, the Alaskan Fish Sandwich, that I ordered, thinking it was hamburger, I started adding ketchup and asking for mustard, only to find out they're FISH! LOL Even the fries were good. The House Salad that came with the Tuna Melt, were probably one of the best salads we've had in the last month! (Road Trips taken in April, this is May 1st, DOES count). We'll be back, come June, when I'm doing another event in Canby!

Dog friendly! I stopped by with two large breed pups and the server was more than happy to bring out bowl of water and even refilled once or twice when she noticed the bowl was empty. Great service! She offered some good recommendations and food came out fast & hot. I was in between the fish tacos or Mac & cheese, I ended up going with the Mac. The portion was more than enough for two people to share and possibly leave with leftovers. Thank you!

My grandma and I went for lunch yesterday. Service was good, very friendly. However when I got the bill I was shocked that the ice tea was $4.25. The BLTA was reasonably priced except it was super skinny with only a few fries. I understand inflation however I will spend more if I'm not charged $4.25 for a drink that costs $.25 cents to brew. I just had to voice my opinion.

I've been to Backstop Bar & Grill a few times and haven't been disappointed. Service was great, people are amazing, and the sports memorabilia makes this place feel like home. I had the Crispy Chicken Salad and will be ordering it again. If you're ever in the Canby area, I recommend visiting for a quick bite or to catch a game.

Walking in the Backstop Bar & Grill is clearly family friendly. In our dining experience there are multiple generations of people from various walks of life. The music leans into country, and some more gentle sounding pop and rock. The staff were all warm, welcoming, and quick to seat us. We had calamari to start and the calamari was tender, and tasty. This app was definitely in line with American fried appetizers. I was impressed it wasn't overly oily. My son essentially filled up on these, struggling to eat much of his main course. They were really tasty, and paired well with the sweet chili sauce and lemons. The main dishes were quite good. My New Yorker was requested mid rare, and came out tender, and extremely well seasoned. The mashed potatoes tasted odd (similar to boxed but had lumps like real potatoes), the roasted veggies were delicious. The potatoes were the only downfall of my meal. My son got Coaches Club House! The sandwich was delicious, the portion could feed 3 people, and you need to really open wide to take a bite! The flavor was exactly what was desired. Toasted bread, perfectly crisped bacon, and the rest was all on point. He believes the fries could have been a bit saltier, but we all have our own opinions. Drinks: my son had a strawberry lemonade with refills, which he loved. I had a Blackberry Whiskey Smash that was tasty, and... calming. All in all the experience was quite wonderful. Little things that would have changed, but we are all critics, and "perfection" doesn't exist! I can't wait to go back!

Came the RenFest, and wanted to find a place to sit and eat. There are two sides to this place. One for just adults, no kids allowed. Then the dinning side. I had 6 wings and fries. Did not disappoint. Wings were super crispy and fries too. Hubs had the swami burger on a gf bun. He was not impressed. Said he felt like it could have been saucy. The egg was fully cooked and not runny. Tots tasted like greasy balls. Kiddo had quesadillas w beans and rice. He enjoyed it. Place is busy! Service was fast.

Food was good. The corn chowder was real good. Service was very good too. Lunch time so business was moderate. We were well taken care of.

Good, traditional food. Sandwiches/fries/burgers and breakfast are stronger suit than plate dinners.

Tatter tots, salad, onion rings, etc all come with extra charges. Menu is confusing. Service: they are under staffed in dining room. The bar workers, when get a break come into dining room to take order, deliver food, deliver ticket (only when asked). Original waitress was pleasant, friendly and very nice to work with. Bartender who took payment was rude and inadequate. Asked for to go boxes, and a to go cup. She said no problem. Never received to go cup. Was dining with another person and both our tickets were over charged! I left small 10% tip which I hoped would go to my original waitress but I doubted it thus why small. Ambiance: nice neighborhood bar. If the servie would of been better would return. After over charges and attitude, we will not be back.

The area is hidden in the hop fields which adds a nice ambiance. There is plenty of parking on the gravel. Lots of seating both in the shade and not, and both large and smaller tables. Would recommend not sitting right in front of speakers since it can be loud. There is a wash station near the restrooms. Near the beer area there is a water station to grab yourself, or your furry friend (they have dog bowls available) a glass of water. Seems like a great get together area. TopWire sits next to the Crosby Hop Farm and currently (Aug 30) we are in the hop season! You can see the working farm as you drive in to the parking area for TopWire. There's some food carts to go with your beverage so it's a nice spot for dinner during the Golden hour. The list on tap has a nice variety, plus they have some things canned in the cooler. It would have been nice if they had their own hop water, but they offered Von Ebert's instead. Interestingly you can buy a hop bine for $40 right now too. Some of the TopWire and Crosby Hop Farm folks sit in the area next to the bar, since it's harvest time. My partner and I went and cut an 18ft bine full of hops, put it in our car and processed it at home! Dogs are allowed on leash, there are also signs asking you to respect the farm and not go in. Admire the hop bines from your covered tables!
