Great reviews and recommendations but this sorely missed and was a big disappointment. The first thing that caught my attention was a fantastic beer menu listed on their website - 28 really good beers to choose from. I arrived and looked to see a grand total of zero of the 28 beers available. I asked and the waitress chuckled, saying the restaurant website never gets updated. Tried two appetizers and they were so-so, one was their attempt at a pork-version of burnt ends that mostly tasted woefully overcooked and drowned in sauce. Next came ordering the 2-bone chop, waitress returning to say cook sent her out to 'warn me' is will take 45 minutes or longer to cook a pork chop. Giving 2 stars because the 1-star reviews are saved for horrible places. The food and beer options were ok, but nothing encouraged a second trip and I don't recommend a first-trip for anyone. read more

Food is amazing. Pork bellies are phenomenal, and the charred cauliflower is delicious. Beer selection is good too.

My burger was a little over cooked. Overall they have a solid selection of bourbon and beer.

The only thing good was the Diet Coke. Ordered salmon salad and it had the most bizarre taste. Took two bites and could not eat anymore.

Great burgers and large beer selection. Enjoy it every time we end up here. Service was quick and staff is pleasant.

This is my go-to place when friends are visiting or if I want to enjoy a drink after a long day. The staff is awesome and always treat me well, especially Nick, Kelsey and Michelle. I think the menu has a good variety of options, and I love the brunch menu on Sundays. The craft beer menu changes regularly and the drinks are always stellar. This is my favorite restaurant in the Washington area. If you love bacon, BBQ, or beer, then you need to visit this place. As soon as I got out of my car, I could smell the delicious scent of bacon wafting in the air. I wanted to eat the air. My family and I went here to celebrate my 29th Birthday, and It proved to be the perfect location for the six of us without children. Given the atmosphere and general brew-pub atmosphere, I wouldn't recommend bringing children here. Although there's no true reason why you couldn't. They have a large selection of craft beers to choose from, and you can try 4 different kinds on a flight. My family split the bacon sampler and the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. Holy YUM!!! I hate Brussels sprouts, but I could've devoured the entire plate! The bacon is thick cut and you can choose different seasonings (chocolate dip, brown sugar, etc) for your sampler. My husband and brother-in-law ordered burgers. They were massive!!! I ordered the pork belly tacos and found my self in meat heaven. The flavors and portions were perfect. My only complaint was that the pork belly was sliced really thick for tacos, but I feel like it's a sin in itself to complain about thick cut delicious BBQ. The atmosphere in this place is perfect for a couples night out or happy hour. It almost seems to cool for where it's located within a shopping plaza. I can't recommend this place enough and will probably try to convince my coworkers to come here for our next happy hour. The mouth watering concept just isn't fully realized at Bacon Bourbon and Beer. The kitchen doesn't deliver on the menu's huge potential. We started with a bacon flight, and what was delivered to our table was five limply underdone specimens that were plated by a visually challenged person. Next, Johnnie had a bowl of chili that was, frankly, bland. Chili should always, always be assertive. But I guess when your bacon's limp, it's difficult to step up your chili game. Lovie had a burger. It was basic. Service was okay. Conclusion: if this place were called "Beefcake, Blow, and Rock and Roll," you'd get a few lines of baking soda to snort while watching Dad Bod Chad dance to We Built This City. Usually my reviews are pretty lenient on a few things. The reason I do that is that if I have some service issues but the food is great... I lay off a bit. This will not be one of those reviews. Arrived around 7pm and one person waiting to be seated. There is no sign or anything tell you wait to be seated so we stood there. After about 5 mins I tried to flag down a server to ask do we need to sign in the book or whatnot. Was told I'll be with you shortly. So another 5 mins go by before the bartender comes over and asks have we been waited. By this time there are 3 other groups all waiting around also that came in after us. There are not as many tables as you could tell are normal. More then fine with that. My problem is that 4 groups finished and left and no tables were bussed. So there were tables for all the groups waiting but they were dirty. They wiped one down and sat the first guy. Ok great we are on our way. Set the cleaning bottle and towel down... and head to back to get food. Didn't bother cleaning the 3 other tables for 20 mins! Finally they clean two more and set us along with another couple. Also if you have watched the Southpark pandemic special this place was the chin diaper group. The masks being under their nose was the entire time. Every so often you would see them pull up but most of the time they came out the kitchen with it not worn right. I don't make a big deal about this except the menu part something up. The menus are brought out. Printed paper that clearly looks to be thrown away after... love that. EXCEPT I watched them as I wait to be seated pick up from other tables and put back in the bin. So the paper I got was from a previous table. Wouldn't touch the paper before I used some hand sanitizer I brought. Her drink came out really fast. I'll go ahead and place this out there. The best thing about the entire meal was this drink. Ordered soup and chili. The chili had no flavor. It came across that it was like Cincinnati chili with chocolate and cinnamon but there was no flavor. The meat had no flavor. It was really weird. The White Cheddar soup tasted more like cream then cheddar. Also a miss on here. We got the bacon flight even thou we got the other apps. The house bacon was really good with the brown sugar. The rest was eh. Nothing of note as a bacon person. I would have thought this would have been one of the things that would have set this place apart. The Sardis chocolate one was my favorite as hers was the brown sugar. Her blackened chicken came out and first thing we noticed was the noodles. Looked back on the menu and it said linguini. This was not that. Asked about it and was told " we ran out of that". Ok so you didn't take the time to ask if she wanted something else? Nope... and the noodles were way over cooked at that. The stuffed chicken was ok. The chicken itself seemed like it wasn't seasoned enough. The stuffing was kinda goopy. The asparagus was way undercooked. Her noodles were cooked the way I would except the asparagus and the asparagus was cooked as I would expect the noodles. After reading reviews of this place I expected so much more. They were not super busy with a wait. The over all good was just eh and the wait and service was not very good. So why I gave 2 stars. One was specifically for her drink. Not something she gets regularly but she enjoyed that a lot. They also get one for the bourbon menu. I do not drink bourbon that much. If I did or knew people that wanted to try some stuff I would go eat else where and get drinks from there. Suggestion for this restaurant. Either greet people at the door faster or put out a sign. As I waited 7 different couples came in and 4 left. All referenced no one greeting them as they left out the door. We almost left and went down to the Mexican restaurant. I'm going to give a 3 out of 5 based on good service. That's where this ends. I will preface this review by saying that the owner obviously has no vested interest in speaking to his customers if an item is not to their liking. Went in on Saturday. It was dead maybe four tables nobody at the bar. They are obviously understaffed as it took time to get drinks. Our server was nice and did her absolute best. I ordered the bacon flight. The bacon was decent. However, there are instances where can be better, but it's bacon, and you generally can't go wrong. My wife and I ordered the salmon salads. We asked for a sear/ crust on the salmon what we got was something that was more sautéed and had no crust still, the salad was really good bacon vinaigrette was excellent. My son ordered french fries and mac & cheese. He loved the fries, he took one bite of the mac & cheese, and it was an absolute no. He simply found it disgusting. We were going to get it to go. The server asked what was wrong with it. My wife simply just said that our son did not like it and the server offered to try and have it removed off the check. When the server returned, she said the owner said absolutely not. We cannot take it off the check. We were not looking for somebody to remove the item off the check, it was offered. My wife asked to speak to the manager whom had a very confrontational look on her face and could care less to help over something that cost about 1.50 to make, the owner refused to come out and speak to us. The number one rule of thumb in a restaurant. If a customer does not like something as an owner, you want to visit their table and find out what is going on and how to properly fix it. This owner was nothing short of a coward by refusing coming out and speak to us The restaurant was not too busy for him to come and speak to one of his customers. Way to try and hide behind your manager. To the owner: you need to swallow, whatever pride you have, and come out and speak to all your customers go table to table and ask how things are going. You're not perfect not everyone's gonna love everything you do people like myself that dine out 3+ days a week want to support local business. with an attitude like that you make it very hard. Just remember if somebody comes in and spend $75 if they didn't like one thing that cost you 1.50 to make and you don't speak to your customers about it you're losing that revenue from one customer every single week that will no longer come in over $1.50. It's not the money we did not ask for the dish to be comped it was offered to us then you turned around and said no. Sounds to me like you have a general lack of communication between yourself and your staff. My recommendation....... Go elsewhere, because there are plenty other places that carry bourbon and many of them.. read more

So to start off we waited almost an hour from coming in the restaurant to getting our food, it took us 20min to finish our food. Now the food, I got The Blazin Cajun burger, which sounded amazing with kimchi and candied bacon, unfortunately when I got it all the toppings where cold as well as my buns, my bottom bun was pretty badly burned and the burger was supposed to be pink and was pretty well done. My girlfriend got the Norwegian Salmon Salad, when she got it the arugula was warm and wilted, and salmon was over cooked and cold in the middle and the goat cheese was slimy, she also got a raspberry tea that was very watered down, she got a Pepsi instead that tasted like it had lemon cleaner in it. The whole restaurant wasn't the cleanest, but that is to be expected on a busy Sunday lunch, but the whole floor felt sticky under my boots, and the bathroom was nasty, the stall walls had splash all over them and the wall under the hand dryer was disgusting. First visit after seeing this place for some time and never stopping in. I love Bourbon. I love bacon. I love beer. So perfect fit. Started with the bacon flight... awesome. Favorites were the chocolate and brown sugar for the wifey, mine were the chocolate and cheddar jalapeño. I had the WCB. It was decent. Cooked well and seasoned well, it could have used something pickled. They have pickle spears, but not rounds, and the red onion on the burger would have been fire if it was pickled to cut through the richness of the bacon and white cheddar cheese. Only deduction is because the fries were way over seasoned but still good. The fiancé had the strawberry fields salad and really enjoyed it. Came here on a Friday night around 8:30 and it wasn't too busy; we were served in a decent amount of time. Got the pork belly nachos to start which did not have enough pork, but the waiter did warn us of this ahead of time. I wasn't sure of the difference between the 2 pumpkin ales and they gave me samples to try, the one I picked, #3, was good. The brisket sandwich was good as well but did not have a lot of flavor without the balsamic onions it comes with. Fries were cooked well but way over seasoned. My mom and stopped here randomly on our way to the Meadows. Tired of the usual food and restaurants in the area, we found this in the shopping plaza. The space is nice and open. We sat at the bar and the chairs were nice and sturdy. Nothing worse than sitting at the bar on a cheap, rickety chair. We weren't terrible hungry so decided to split the brisket sandwich. This sandwich did not disappoint! The brisket was tender, flavorful and NOT DRY. Hard to find a place that does brisket that doesn't feel like a charcoal briquette. The roll it was on was almost like a flakey focaccia...I don't know exactly what it was, but it was the perfect fit. Served with fries that were delicious. They have an extensive craft selection on tap, as well as a well stocked bourbon bar. Wine selection didn't look so shabby either. Ordered the grilled cheese for our main course, very rich, most definitely needs the balsamic onions to cut the richness. Very good overall. We split the sandwich and glad we did. Pretty disappointed. I'd heard a lot of hype about this place and it was a big let down. Within 5 minutes of getting the check, we both began to feel unwell from the amount of grease. To be fair, our waitress was excellent. On the wall above the entrance, is a list of all the beers on tap. When we went to order a flight, we were informed more than half of the beers had been switched and a handful had been kicked. We went with the b3 burger and Cajun burger. My burger was massive and topped with a fried pickle. Despite asking for "pink", it was dry yet dripping with grease at the same time. In the end, I removed the patty and ate the bun/toppings. The fries on the side must have been the last of the batch, as they were cold and chewy. My boyfriend was barely able to eat the Cajun burger due to the amount of pepper heat. It wasnt spicy the way Mexican food is, but the type that makes you cough and burns the back of your throat. Hopefully we just came on off day. read more

The first time we visited this establishment was pre-pandemic and the food was fabulous! The second time we stopped by we were told they were understaffed and it would be a very long wait, even though the place was empty! Today we visited for a late lunch, around 3 P.M. and were greeted by the most pleasant waitress, her name was Brittany A. She promptly took our drink and menu orders and still managed to work the entire dining room by herself...they were starting to get busy and this girl didn't miss a beat! When my husband's cheese soup came...it was cold! But Brittany handled it with a smile and an apology...a satisfactory bowl quickly took it's place. Then our entree's arrived, a turkey club & fries and a W.C.B. (basically a cheese burger with arugula, tomato & onion) on a Brioche roll + fries. As I usually do to check for doneness I cut the burger in half...It was actually RAW inside! Once again she returned it to the kitchen and it was checked by the "owner" who agreed it wasn't cooked enough. At this point I was starving since I hadn't eaten all day...I got to sit with nothing in front of me but my Coke while my husband ate his sandwich and soup. When the burger reappeared it was cooked to my liking... little pink. BUT...the bottom of the roll was blood soaked and inedible...so I tossed the roll and ate the burger with a fork! I have worked in the food service industry for over 50 years...as have most of my family...in the capacity of owners, managers and servers. If there was a problem like this a manager or owner would speak to the dissatisfied customers personally and extend his/her apology. I never asked, nor would I ever ask for a comp. since I know the food service industry is struggling right now. But this owner/manager chose to hide in the back and have his only waitress handle the incompetence of his kitchen staff. I certainly hope he treats his staff better than his customers. Customers, who BTW are keeping your business afloat in these trying times!!! So if any restaurant owner out there is looking for a GOOD waitress, Brittany A will make your business shine...she's a real worker and truly cares about her customers...One more thing Mr. owner/manager we will NEVER be back to your establishment!!! read more

The burgers were dry and burnt and the fries were greasy and cold. Not only was the food not good, but me and my boyfriend both got food poisoning. I also had the B3 Blueberry bourbon cocktail which I would definitely recommend. The downside is the place is smaller and there was quite a wait. We stopped here while passing thru town and it was by far the best stop we did our entire 3,000 mile road trip. So if that gives you any idea just how good it was! One dipped in Hershey's chocolate, one with melted cheese and jalepenos, one with cajun seasoning paired with blue cheese and the other was like a brown sugar and BBQ. All of them I highly recommend.... For our lunch my wife and I decided to share several suggestions from our amazing waitress. We had a Pork Belly taco with their delicious homemade Mac-n-Cheese, we also shared the Brisket sandwich with some of the best Brussels sprouts I ever tasted. All while drinking some great rare craft beers which I got to try in flights. This worked out perfect for me so I could sample several different styles of beer I had never had before being we are not from the area. A huge high five to this place for their amazing service start to finish, great food and drinks, a clean atmosphere, and reasonable prices. It's unfortunate because we were left to wonder if we were denied seats because we are an interracial couple. I feel the need to leave this review because seeing the rating made me slightly skeptical about going however I'm so glad that we did!!! Tucked away in a shopping center this cute restaurant didn't disappoint. Causal and laid back but with nice decor wand even cloth napkins! There were two TVs to watch the Steelers game but it definitely wasn't a sport bar feel which is perfect for me. Also, the food. Fried pickles were soggy (weird to have that happen with fried food - the trade off you are supposed to get when ordering something fried is that it's terrible for you but tastes great!) and I didn't like the candied bacon in their BLT. Don't overthink a good BLT - the bacon should be crispy and not sweet. It can't be tough or chewy, just doesn't work. The place looks great inside and it seems to be busier each time we go.
