The original plan was to remove/prevent weeds from my leach field and area near house & put rock under an electric fence. When asked about the weeds, Christopher said: "If you do it correctly you'll be able to be plant free in areas that you tamped for a few years. Longest I've been able to keep plants away without adding a cloth weed sheet was 5 years." As of 5/22/24 when I finally just canceled the project because I couldn't handle any more unexpected price increases, the leach field is completely filled with weeds again, so the work just made a different kind of weed grow, but in the same amount. The rock under the fence is more than halfway complete. Here are the details about the price increases if you are interested. Estimate started at $4985, then Chris added $2915 more because he needed more materials than originally estimated. The work was still only partially completed when we made a new plan that would cost me around $900 more to finish the job ($300 labor + around $600 in materials). On the day that work was supposed to start, Chris told me that I needed to pay the materials people directly when the shipment arrived. I called them to pay and they told me the remaining materials would be $1367 for bark and $196 for rock, including delivery fee. That would mean I'd pay another $767 for materials than I was quoted. The frustrating part about each of these increases is that the work is halfway finished, so I have no choice but to switch contractors or deal with Chris again, whose prices go up without advance notice (the materials vendor is the one who told me this new info).

Our stone chimney was completed over a weekend, and easily exceeded our expectations. (and all of the walkers/joggers that stop to comment about it on a daily basis.) Roger showed up with his crew and set up camp on our property for the weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed their company and shared many laughs and stories around the campfire. When we had another masonry job recently, it was nice to have a "go to" team that we knew would be up to the task. Roger, Rafi and Jack showed up on time (again), delivered exceptional work (again), stayed with us (again) and honored their estimate to the penny (AGAIN!) This was our first cement project so we had to rely and trust this guy on doing a good job. The only information he told us was that there would be a "few" cracks A few weeks later (job was done in June 2020), we noticed lots of cracks. About 18-20 cracks for a total of apx. 105 feet. This was not just a "few" cracks. When we complained, he sent 2 of his guys to fix the cracks. Well that made no difference! You can still see them and they have since gotten bigger and deeper!! Later that year, we talked to couple of other concrete contractors. They said Ferraro should have used re-barb and/or steel mesh. Also put in a few control joints, like you see in sidewalks. We would have been willing to pay him more if he would have done this. But instead we ended up with a badly done job!!!!

It looked great for exactly 2 weeks. Then the whole driveway started to "eggshell" and a crack appeared. Ferraro concrete sealed the driveway for winter so they would be responsible. In the spring the crack was bigger, and there were 2 more cracks. The end of the driveway is chipping away. The sidewalk is sloped so the water goes into my garage and floods it when it rains. When it freezes it comes a dangerous pool of ice. I have contacted Chris Ferraro the owner dozens of times, sent him photos. It is a year later and he has yet to return to my residence to physically assess the damages and fix it. I have remained in contact at his request and keep getting put off. At what point does Ferraro concrete finally step up and take responsibility for a job NOT done well. Their customer service is non existent. DO USE FERRARO CONCRETE FOR YOUR DRIVEWAY AND SIDEWALK NEEDS!!!!!!!!!
