    Locals restaurant.

I went out of my way to find something that was not fast food. This is off the Interstate but not far. If you are not a local you would have to seek it out. The kind of place the wait staff know all the locals by name. Food was good and the service excellent.

Looks like a small place from the outside. Seats plenty more. Seat yourself. Beware, they allow smoking on both sides of the restaurant which I personally despise but it does not stop me from enjoying my meal. I guess they still allow it bc of the all of the elderly/rednecks in the area (no offense). Let's get down to the good stuff ... all appetizers are $4.99 (cheapest of any place I've been to in awhile). Options include fried pickles, fried cheese cubes (our personal favs), corn nuggets (another good choice), mozzarella sticks and more. Main courses ... they have a daily special menu that changes weekly. That includes a main dish, 2 sides and choice of bread for $9.25. Breakfast is served all day. Fish specials every Friday. we have tried several items off of the menu and have yet to be disappointed. You do get a discount for paying cash which is an extra bonus. Their desserts are made in house daily which are $5.25. Also, the cheapest dessert I've seen in a long time. We actually ordered coconut cream pie and chocolate meringue pie today and both were still warm from them being baked earlier. Rhonda is probably their longest running waitress. She's a hoot. She treats us like family every single time and she doesn't even know us. The bathrooms are always clean as well as the entire restaurant. They offer a lot of soda options as well (Coke products). I would totally give this place 5 stars if it was smoke free! The only complaint I have is the smoking.

Breakfast special #3 2 scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, biscuit w sausage gravy. BLT w fried egg and fries.

A true gem. The waitresses were so very kind. The food was delicious. Price was great and super fast service.

Unfortunately they fry seafood with all the other deep fried items which means it all tastes like fish.

Food was hot. Place was busy. They try hard to please. How can you screw up bacon?

First, the building itself is worth seeing. From the outside, it fits beautifully into our historic downtown square, but once you walk through the door you really get the full effect, old exposed brick, wood floors, huge windows, comfortable couches, tables, and even an upstairs loft seating area. It feels less like a coffee shop and more like somebody turned a cool old downtown building into your living room. And then you see the drink menu. If you're the type of person who says, "I don't really like coffee," I'm not sure that excuse is going to work here. They have the regular brewed coffee, cold brew and espresso drinks, lattes, mochas, Americanos, cappuccinos, macchiatos and frappes. They also have chai, hot tea, hot chocolate, refreshers, smoothies and other non-coffee choices. Then comes the flavor selection. Looking at that wall is almost intimidating. Caramel, cinnamon bun, cookie butter, toasted marshmallow, pumpkin spice, raspberry, coconut, Irish cream, white chocolate...the list keeps going. They also have a surprisingly large selection of sugar-free flavors and several milk choices, including almond, oat and coconut. In other words, if you can't invent a drink you like from this menu, you may just not be thirsty. The coffee itself was really good, but what impressed me almost as much was the atmosphere. This is a place where you can actually sit down, drink your coffee and enjoy yourself instead of feeling like you need to grab your cup and get out of the way. Bring a friend, have a conversation, get some work done, or just claim one of those couches and forget what time it is. Storehouse Coffee is exactly the kind of locally owned place I like seeing on our town square. Good coffee, friendly people, a ton of choices, and they've taken a beautiful old downtown space and made it somewhere people actually want to gather.
