I was slightly disappointed with this BBQ joint, however the decor was interesting in this small little restaurant. The food was mediocre and the BBQ sauce was basic. My meal was the chicken and rib combination plate... it came with two slices of white bread (not sure what I was suppose to do with those... so I just ignored them) and I ordered a baked potato and corn on the cob. The baked potato was not fully cooked and wasn't even hot... so the butter and cheese did not melt. The corn on the cob must have been soaking in water for a while because it was slightly soggy. I'm glad there's truth in advertising. Brad' is truly bad. Awful. Simply awful. Very typical Oklahoma BBQ. Brisket was dry and flavorless. The ribs weren't finished. They were tough as all get-out and didn't seem to have any rub. They were inedible. The green beans were a tragedy. I can't tell what they put in there, but I took one bite and put an end to that suffering. The ranch style beans were straight out of the can. Probably for the best. The turkey and sauce were the only saving graces. Those and the service. The servers were supremely nice. Save you money and go somewhere else. read more

The place is a shrine to dead stuff! The walls are covered with antlers and heads! The smell when you walk in screams we smoke some stuff round here! We started off with a sampler of pickles. Green beans, and cheese. Good! I had a yardbird wrap which was good. The cole slaw was wonderful and not swimming in sweet dressing. Chris had a platter with several meats on it he liked it. Very disappointing. Sliced brisket was dry with very little flavor. Husband and sons pulled pork was too fatty and also had little flavor. Sandwiches were drowned in sauce to the point the bread was inedible. Frys were flavorless, cold, and soggy. Arrived on a Friday night around 6. Noticed as we approached by gps there was no road signage other than a small ground level banner ? Was not sure if we were in the right place.They were moderately busy. As we walked in the lobby was full of photos from the 'old days' so as we are new to the area we could only guess that Bad Brads had been around awhile. The entrance area outside could use some sprucing up and landscaping. Not a great impression for new customers. We were promptly sat and waited on. We had a 3 meat combo plate and a brisket plate . We were told they were out of ribs ? BBQ joint out of ribs on a Friday night ? -1 :( I will say this , the brisket , pork, and sausage was good! Truly . I will give them another try in the future. Home fries were good but cold . If you plate things on styrofoam, you cant stage the plate under a really hot heat lamp, i.e. if the fries were on the plate first , then they get cold by the time they get to the customer . The bbq is good , worthy of more than a styrofoam plate. I think Brads is like alot of independent family owned businesses, after 10-15-20 years everyone has put so much into the business that it just kind of starts slipping. I totally understand. This place could be the king of bbq in Stillwater once again with some fresh energy maybe a 'bar rescue' type push. I am extremely disappointed in bad brads. I called in on a Tuesday requesting a quote for potato salad for 20 people and was told it would cost $32. I was also told that I didn't have to call in till the day of the event. I called in Friday morning and upped it to 25 and when I came to pay for 25 people they charged me $65. I explained to them that I had been quoted 32 for 20 and the only thing they could tell me is that they actually gave me enough for 30 people but apparently 10 more people cost $33 . The math doesn't add up and there was no desire to make it right I was told it was $65 or they could take it back to the kitchen and scoop some out to make it closer to $32. I'm sorry but that's ridiculous! I would have gladly paid $45 maybe even 50 but they were not willing to negotiate so I will never use bad Brads again and I will make sure that all my friends and family know to go to Smokey Joe's . read more

This is a "must do" for real pit smoked bar-b-q in a rustic atmosphere with incredible wildlife mounts. The food is excellent, fresh, and a wide variety of smoked meats, sides and desserts. I love this place and its setting on the outskirts of town add to the charm. read more

We had a poor experience here. According to our server, they had a lot of staff not show for work so they we're running behind. We ordered our food and waited a very long time before we were checked on. Our food was brought before the appetizer, but all of our meals were incorrect. Our server comped the app and brought a second round of incorrect meals. We ended up getting up and leaving after we waited for over 40 minutes, not being served the correct food. Sorry to say I wasn't impressed. The ribs were actually pretty good, but not good enough to make up for the rest of the meal. I ordered the 2 meat platter, which came with 2 meats and 2 sides. I selected chicken and ribs, with baked beans and fries. The presentation was really poor... 2 styrofoam plates, one with the meat, the other with the sides. The sides plate had about 2 tablespoons of beans and half a hanful of fries along with two pieces of un-toasted white bread. The fries somehow managed to be overcooked, soggy, and cold... not a good combination. The service was so so, not very friendly. The only redeeming things were the ribs and the sweet tea. The only bad thing about Bad Brad's is smelling like a smoke house when you leave... But isn't that the mark of a good BBQ joint? We LOVE the smoked sausage. It is the best I've ever had anywhere. Excellent bbq. Pulled pork is great and I love the smoked tube steak. If you want ribs though I would try Cherokee Strip BBQ. No comparison at all. Bad Brads are tough and hard to get off the bone instead of the meat falling off like it should. Very nice atmosphere though, especially if you are an outdoorsman. read more

I was pretty disappointed this time around, Reasons: 1. Got in a bit late with a large crowd and was sat at a table that was being prepared for a group of maybe 10 in uniform military. We realized quickly that we three had prolonged their wait so when a table opened up next to our group of maybe fifteen we offered to go to that table we were told no! She said we could choose other seats but not that one because it was in a different zone. The more I thought about this the more I realized it is kinda foolish for her to have denied us a seat with our group. That is the first time I think I have offered to move for someone then told we would not be able to sit with our group for a going away party for a coworker but it was cool if we took a seat all the way across the restaurant as long as it was in our waitresses "zone". We went ahead and moved so that the military folks could be seated and ordered our food. 2. the food was bland and cold. I ordered a rancher sandwich with brisket and a coworker got a smoked turkey sandwich both were cold. I thought that we would get some kind of fixings of these sandwiches but they consisted of meat and bread and ...nope that's it just meat and bread no pickle onion tomato lettuce nothing just cold bland brisket and a not fresh hamburger bun, at least the fries were good a totally different style than I have ever had. This was my worst experience at Bad Brads, I will give them another chance but if they don't go four star amazing then I am not going back unless I have too. read more

The food was tasty. It usually is. However, today something was off. Our server spent most of her time on her phone or sitting at tables talking about how salty the food is. "I told you it was salty". When the food was prepared one server walked up to the window and yelled at our server to come get it and bring it to us instead of just taking the time to run it to us. Seems to happen more than not. Any other restaurant in this town, that would not happen. The food would just be brought out. Both servers seemed more interested in what was going on on their phones than running the restaurant. Good food will always save bad service. But, today might have been the last straw. Work in caring more about the guests in front of you and less on what's happening on your phones. It's not good when guests know that the entire staff makes it a point to let us know that they don't want to be there. read more

The bad is in the wrong place in the name of the restaurant. It should be Brads Bad B-B-Q . The service was poor and unfriendly. The restaurant is rustic and decorated nice for a bbq place. It's disappointing because it could be a really great place. We ordered the 2 for $22. The best things we ordered were cheese fries and fried okra- at a bbq restaurant??!! The sliced brisket was undercooked, tough, with little flavor. The burnt ends were anything but burnt ends. They were a few chunk of overcooked brisket drenched in B-B-Q sauce. I ate 2 bites and no more. They tasted like food from a microwave dinner. The potato salad tasted like the deli potato salad from Walmart. We'd eaten here several years ago and liked it. When we found ourselves in Pawhuska at lunch time we decided to try it again. I'm always on the hunt for good BBQ and with the right choices I can usually can keep it healthy. I ordered the smoked chicken dinner but was told no when I asked if I could trade my two sides for one baked potato. I ordered the side salad and corn on the cob. My husband ordered two meat, ribs and smoked sausage with fried okra and baked beans. He received what I considered to be regular portions and he was satisfied with his order. On the other hand, my portion of what appeared to be some sort of loaf chicken might have been 3 ounces. (And that's a high estimate.) My 'side salad' consisted of 3 tablespoons of lettuce on the plate with my meat and the corn was half an ear of frozen corn. The packets of lemon juice on the table for my tea were stuck together with some sort of nastiness. Our server was friendly enough to my husband but not to me. I gave this place two stars because my husband, at least, got a pretty good meal. But don't expect too much if your a woman with a special request. read more

My experience was not up to par. I waited to review just to make sure it was really this bad. We went because my girlfriend had a great meal at the one in Yukon, but not this time. My brisket was more like Jersey they had scraped out just to make the last sandwich. It hurt my teeth to eAt. To be fair our waitress took it back but took my French fries with it. She returned with only a sandwich. My meal was already ruined by that time. I work hard for my money and will not try this place ever again read more
