My wife, myself and another couple have spent the last couple of years visiting lots of hidden gems around our state. We travel a fair amount internationally and in the US. We drove a little over an hour to visit Vintage Steakhouse and we believe it is truly a great place to eat. Atmosphere, ambiance, selection, quality of food, friendliness and finally the taste were all awesome. The owner actually took care of us last night. It was nice to hear about the history of the steakhouse and the building it sits today. The building was constructed in 1906! Wow! They have done an amazing job in creating a welcoming and charming place to have lunch or dinner. Each person in our group of 4 ordered the filet mignon steak. We each had a different salad and they were amazing. The homemade bread was very good as a warm up for the meal. Garlic mashed potatoes were very tasty and the steaks were great. If you are not Local Do not Bother Eating Here!!!! I have eaten at 10,000 plus restaurants Extreme High end to Lovely lowly hole in the walls. This place does not even great you but Loves To Slam everything on the table. Hate is what you feel when the waitress is near. Place is a Chaotic Mess to watch. Reservation is required and ours was listed for our 27th Anniversary. We have had 26 better meals starting at Waffle House when I was Army Infantry and what we could afford. Arrived 10 minutes early took 20 to be seated by the Bartender no Hostess. Thank god you are forced to have reservations for Dinner. 45 minutes later after we got seated we flagged down the Bartender Hostess to take our order. Our waitress Stacy never came to our table she has 4 in a row and would skip us Everytime! Seems you need to be a Local to eat here or even get service. FOOD: Appetizer 4 star Hand Breaded Mushrooms Very well seasoned fried well slightly soggy 4 stars Wife and I had ordered identical meals 16 oz Ribeye Med-Rare House salad and Loaded baked Potatoes. SALAD Lettuce is old rotten. RIBEYE STEAKS: Wife's is the picture. Medium Burnt to Hell on the outside. She is ok with it. I hate burnt food. It should have never left the kitchen but it was more tender than my medium rare. The statement on the menu is Center cut Steaks. My wife's was a center cut mine an end chunk. Low Quality Beef. Wife's 2 star mine a 1 star Torched as Hell steak. Would have complained but with no management or waitress who do you even talk to. As part of our weekend in Stillwater, we made the short drive up to Morrison to check out this place. Definitely worth the drive food and drinks were great, I had the pork chops, the baked potato and garden salad. Flavors and textures were spot on how we person was attentive. The service is always so friendly and helpful. They have a new menu, and if you are an old timer like me that is a little hard. I loved Chris' mom's meat balls. They are no longer on appetizers, so in my mind when meat balls with spaghetti was on dinner menu, I assumed they would be his mother's meat balls so I was disappointed. Time changes everything! There are great restaurant choices in Tulsa and OKC. Save the fuel. Steak was so so. Green beans (4$ upcharge for unrecognizable shriveled green shards) and garlic mashed (very mediocre, not chef prepared). Wine prices are obscene for middle of the road labels. No real bartender; servers blend their own fudging of of mixology cards for 5 minutes. Service unprofessional and intermittent. 100$ lobster tails if you really like giving money away. No house steak sauce (A1 if you ask). No soup spoons, only teaspoons, soft toothless bread. Nicely lit street, big high ceiling room. Have no clue where the good ratings come from. Really, I would not go back for a free meal. Management alibis all their failings. Oh the best part - I almost ate a whole charred toothpick fully embedded in my filet. The Mgr said it is to hold on the stringy bacon wrapped around it, but it was totally in the steak. Preparation a la "Outback" on a par with. A wonderful dinner, with a wonderful vibe in the whole establishment. The servers are so kind and checked in on us multiple times and really made us feel comfortable the whole time. We last came here right before Christmas in December of last year and I would've given them 5 stars but not tonight. Our service was very lackluster, our drinks ran dry and she definitely was not Johnny on the spot. As for my entree, I got the salmon, and it was dry and tasteless. So disappointed! I make way better salmon at home. It was overcooked. It didn't come with any sauce either, which if it did, it would've helped. Tip-get the filet mignon, my daughter said it was very good. Definitely do not get the salmon. Ambiance is excellent. Very upscale. Also noticed there is a non cash adjustment on our bill. This was not disclosed by our waitress. I wish we'd known this! This quiet place was out of this world good. I eat on the road a lot and this was definitely in the top 3 best steaks I've ever had. The shrimp was better than a lot of shrimp you get on the coast. The service was fantastic and very friendly. We had to book a reservation and it was worth it big time. We love coming to The Vintage anytime, but their lunch is always amazing. Today I had the Philly Cheesesteak, it was great. The bread was so fresh and just right to dipping. Hubby had the potato soup and chef salad. The lettuce is always fresh and a variety of different kinds. The service is great, the girls are always pleasant and take good care of their customers. I can't say enough about the atmosphere. High end in a small town. It's quiet with nice music playing in the background. You can relax, have great food and visit with your lunch partner. No place like this anywhere close that I know of. They are open for lunch Wednesday through Friday. If you haven't been you should go!! read more

Vet Student Graduation Recognition - I wish I could give 10 stars! We made a reservation with Vintage at like 10am in the morning through their website. We arrived almost 1 hour early for our reservation and were BLOWN AWAY. The team had bought my daughter a card and an animal book and they had all signed the card. BEFORE our reservation. The owner came out and personally congratulated our daughter and our family. The food was amazing. This was one of the best experiences I have had after traveling to dozens of countries, more than 40 states and having visited literally thousands of restaurants. So what I can say I have eaten at the original Vintage House in Burlington Oklahoma and when I heard they had opened up again in Morrison my wife and I made the drive. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, with a ribeye for my entree. My wife had the filet and all I can say is both were decadent. We ended up getting dessert. I ordered bread pudding and coffee and my wife had the key lime pie. Anyone who reads my reviews knows I like food. This steakhouse is as good as you can find anywhere in the Midwest. Nice restaurant in a very tiny town. The only businesses I saw were a barber shop, a small general store, and a flower shop. We read there was an arboretum, and thought we would check it out since we got there early. Didn't take long, since the walking trail around the whole thing was only 1/3 of a mile. There were some nice trees, but the only thing blooming in June were the chaste trees, which were very pretty, but the flower beds were in sad condition. But the reason for going to Morrison was the Vintage Steakhouse. The service was prompt and very good. The three young waitresses were really hustling. Our reservations were for 5:30, and they said the bread would be ready in about 5', which was fine. I think they rushed it, because the crust was very pale and soft, and pretty bland. Not the quality of bread you expect from a prime Steakhouse. Entrees come with a cup of soup and 2 sides. Menu said cheesy potato or soup of the day, but they only had the potato. It was very thick but tasty; would have been nice to have an option of something lighter though. I also heard them tell someone that they were out of chicken. The main test was the steak. My husband had a medium rare ribeye, and I had a medium filet. They were excellent, with a nice char on the outside. Mine was a touch more than medium but still very good. We had baked potatoes, which were hot and fluffy, and carrots and green beans, which were also good. Desert: The menu listed a "family size" chocolate cake with chocolate ganache, strawberries, and toffee bits. We planned to share and maybe even take some home. Instead, it was a small chocolate bundt cake with chocolate sauce in the middle, kind of like a small lava cake--no strawberries or toffee bits. It was pretty good, but not what we expected. Overall, it was a good meal, but for about $150 for 2 meals, 1 drink, 1 desert, and 2 coffees, definitely not a 5 star in my opinion. read more

We decided to take a drive and try Vintage Steakhouse. Morrison is a lovely small town, which includes a General Store. Vintage Steakhouse is very popular so you have to have reservations. Walking inside I fell in love with the decor and the ambiance. It is classy and comfy at the same time. Two small seating areas, one on either side of the entrance both very welcoming. We were seated quickly and after getting our drinks we were served fresh homemade bread with butter. I could smell it even though it was wrapped in a cloth napkin. Fresh bread?!!! The menu isn't large but they do have a children's menu, drink menu, (full bar), and dessert menu. Everyone at the table had steak except for one entree of Mesquite Smoke Chicken. All entrees come with the soup of the day and two sides. The steaks were delicious ( all who ordered the steak agreed) and ranked as the best ever by one! The Mesquite chicken was cooked perfectly and the "Vintage Signature Sauce" was fantastic! Sides were a large loaded baked potato, garlic mashed, and veggies. We all agreed that the meal overall was excellent and we plan on returning. Oh, wait, I have to mention the dessert! Pecan Pie and Bread Pudding! Yum and Yummm!!! We didn't try the New York Cheesecake but saw one served and the portion is AMPLE. I am leaving four highly recommend here, give it a try!! P.S. Let's start with....I am not sure exactly what is wrong people. The reviews must be bought or something. Because this place does not deserve the high of score, period. Which I then wonder, are folks just that accustom to consuming poor quality food at stupid prices? The setting wasn't horrible. It is all the rage lately with the shabby-chic vibes. However, here it felt more like they were smearing frosting on a turd. It had some interesting elements, but lacked a lot on all fronts. Shabby chic does not mean mildew smelling napkins and table cloths. SERIOUSLY, if you do not know how to properly wash the linens that should be a sign that the food will suck. And it did suck. The service was poor quality from the very beginning. If you don't want to serve people then find another job. The waitress lacked proper etiquette and got zero points for building a relationship with her customers. She didn't care that we pointed the moldy, black lettuce in the salads, or the disgusted response to the unseasoned steak. She then had the nerve to ask if we wanted desert. The food....for a $130 was so lacking, that it is difficult to express just how bad it was. Every one should expect quality ingredients, cooked and presented well at any price to be honest. At first the tea was decent and clear but by the second glass it turned cloudy and just rank. The salads as mentioned were wilted (not on purpose), with black slimmy bits. The bread was plan boring with a poor quality whipped butter. The shrimp was over done and didn't come until the main entries were served. The soup was lacking on flavor and substance. Potato soup can actually be dynamic, but it is evident they are going cheap and lack skill in preparing good soup. Having cooked and worked in many resturants, it is apparent they do not know what they are doing. As to the steak.....is wasn't worth $12, not to mention $42! It was not cooked correctly and lacked flavor. If you are in for paying high prices for chewy leather, then this is your place. The other meal was salmon and it tasted exactly how sewer smells! It was disgusting and that was the only flavor it had. The baked potato was a just that, nothing wow or negative. Okay, now for the good things. There isn't one good thing I can think of for this establishment. Could it be something? Yes, with high quality food, cooked correctly, priced appropriately, served with class and proper etiquette. And you could still leave the environment as it is (just learn how to do the laundry correctly) and have something worth driving to Morrison for. Take some advice folks, take your $130 bucks to a store of your choice to buy two high quality steaks and two salmon fillets, a bottle of wine, fresh salad fixings, a bag of potatoes, real butter, a loaf of quality sour dough bread, and make your own feast. Plus, you will save yourself some money and gut problems. read more

We've been eagerly anticipating this restaurant since early summer. Boy were we impressed! The restaurant is lovely. The service was outstanding. The food was just delicious. They are known for their fried mushrooms and now we know why! They thinly slice just the caps, lightly bread and fry them. They are NOT greasy and the dipping sauce with a spot of pesto is delicious. Perfectly cooked medium-rare filet and a lovely lobster tail cooked on a Hasty Bake grill exceeded all of our expectations! The soup, salad and baked potato were solid side dishes. We decided to get dessert just so we could include it in this review. The slice of coconut pie was maybe the best either of us has ever had. We are thrilled to have such a fabulous place to eat just 17 minutes from our house in Stillwater. We just can't recommend this place highly enough. read more

Vintage is the place we usually go for special occasions and we love it a lot!! The food is amazing, especially the vintage salad and the cheesecake!!! We have never had bad service here and the place is absolutely beautiful!!! If I had one complain which is not a big one is that I wish they would toast the bread they give you when you first get there but again it's not a big deal!!! I've had two meals here. A friend recommended this restaurant and it was everything and more. It was amazing. I cannot remember our servers name but she did an amazing job so I brought my son and his girlfriend back with my wife. My wife and I both ordered the tenderloin, I believe they were around 6 ounces, it was bacon wrapped and the crazy thing was the bacon was cooked well done and the steak also while we ordered medium rare. How do you get bacon crisp around the outside of a steak? The bacon was delicious crispy but the steak was like leather. I love this restaurant but I can't pay that much for an overcooked steak. read more

We knew that staffing/service would be a factor in when we were served and they kept us informed. Bread-excellent, mushroom appetizer - very good, potato soup - outstanding, filet and ribeye - excellent, squash - outstanding, both potato sides - good, premium salad- very good, peanut butter pie - outstanding. Amazing steak. Ribeye and fillet were probably the most tender steaks we've ever had. Everyone's steak was cooked exactly as ordered. Salad was fresh with house made dressing. Delicious warm bread served at the start of the meal. Hostess and wait staff were delightful and service was quick. Our first trip to the Vintage Steakhouse and it did not disappoint!! What a treasure for a bedroom community! My wife and I had the Valentine's Day special that included a filet for her and Ribeye for him. This was a 5 course meal for two for only $99. Steaks had a great flavor and were cooked to perfection. My parents ordered the lobster tail and the grilled salmon which they both raved about their dishes! I will definitely be back to try the lobster, who would guess that you would find a rural restaurant with 3 different lobster tail entrees! The restoration of the old building was great, much larger space than I had anticipated. The meal took some time coming out but it was spaced perfectly for a 5 course meal and the service was fantastic! We called in advance for a reservation and they were ready for us when we got there.
