One thing I noticed right away was that the floor near our table, which was also the area leading to the kitchen, was very slick. A caution cone or warning sign would have been helpful to alert guests and help prevent a potential fall. Our server greeted us promptly and got our drink orders in quickly. When my sister asked about ordering a milkshake, we were told they were out. I suggested adding it to the list of unavailable items posted at the entrance so customers would know before ordering. I ordered the patty melt with sweet potato fries. While the presentation wasn't particularly appetizing, the flavor more than made up for it. The sandwich was delicious, the fries were great, and I cleaned my plate. I also noticed the table next to us had been waiting on their food since before we were seated. First of all, to anyone who expects airport food to be Michelin quality, you need to get out more. This is a burger bar. It's not the best burger ever but as someone who has a fragile stomach when it comes to fast food - it's great! It hits the spot and doesn't interrupt my travels later. The chicken itself was juicy and tender, but the tenders were incredibly greasy like their fryer wasn't hot enough. The fries were also not great - just didn't seem very fresh or fried enough. Luckily the ranch was the good ranch and I was able to take some of the greasy breading off the chicken. I had a few bites of Nate's burger, which was actually quite good. I was quite impressed that the jalapeno bacon actually managed to have some spice to it. In addition, the pieces were large, and there were 6 of them in total, which meant each bite of the burger was given a beautiful-tasting crisp texture The fried egg added as a perfect topper to the patty - it was somewhat leaking, but combined so well with the rest of the burger to add just that additional soft egg-like flavor that I love. Cashier attempted to take my order, but as I was telling her my order she was having a whole conversation with the other girls who work there. Not a conversation about work, but a conversation about what they're planning on doing when they get off work tonight. Again, a lack of professionalism. 4. Nobody will call your order number when your food is done. They'll just sit it on the counter and let it get cold until you either ask if it's your order, or go check it yourself. I could go on. But I'll stop at number 4. Am I looking for "Michelin star" quality at the airport? NO. Not by any means. But am I looking for basic human decency & basic customer service when people are dealing with my food? Absolutely. The thing is, nobody is comparing this place to Michelin star restaurants. We simply need better customer service and a bit more communication between staff and customers. Because right now, majority of the staff isn't trained AT ALL on either. They simply don't care. Had 2 1/2 hrs before flight and were starving! Got a table immediately, placed our orders and received our drink in 5 minutes! Our order took about 30 minutes but the burgers came out hot and juicy with great toppings. I had the magic mushroom and my husband the bacon burger that had more than 6 pieces of bacon! They offer to-go alcoholic beverages here! This review is about that. You can't take your plastic cup of alcohol onto your plane, but you can take it out of the restaurant and into the airport. That's nice, because although Bad Daddy's Burger Bar has a decent amount of seating, it was full when I visited, so I just got my IPA and bounced. I didn't get any food, just beer. As far as what I can tell, they offer one local beer on tap (Wicked Weed). But they also offer Stella Artois, Bud Light and Blue Moon on tap. The service at the bar was very fast and friendly. Absolutely terrible experience. I went to the to-go area to order a hamburger and was completely ignored. Several staff members were walking around but no one even acknowledged me. I had to scan the menu and pay for my order myself because no one would take it. After paying, no one brought me my food. I even tried speaking to an older blonde waitress with long hair and she pretended not to hear me. My burger was sitting on the kitchen counter getting cold while employees kept walking past it. In the end, I never even received the burger I paid for. There were customers at nearby tables watching the whole situation, which made it even more embarrassing. When I asked for a refund, no one would make eye contact or try to help. This is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful service. If no one is available at the to-go window, at least put up a sign so you don't waste people's time and money. Even with low airport expectations, it still fell short. First issue was the wait for a table. I get that restaurants can be busy, but it took the staff so long to clear tables and they took like 10 min to acknowledge us, once we were at front of line. Our fault, but it's just not a sturdy cup on a high top table. I wanted a Wicked Weed IPA, but they were out. We ordered sandwiches with different side items, so we could try them all - tots, fries, sweet potato fries. IMO, tots were hands down winner. Sweet potato fries were soggy and unsalted. My husband's chicken sandwich was overcooked and it looked like they haven't changed the oil recently. My patty melt was meh; usually the bread is cooked longer with a little butter on flat top. This was fairly soft rye bread, instead of a nicely toasted crunch. Server was nice, particularly in helping clean up our spill. There are several TVs, so you can kill a little time here.
