They need to take the word Frog out of their title. This place is just plain BAD! The homemade fresh salsa daily delivered to our table for $4 was a jar of Pace (or generic) picante sauce. When we specifically asked, they admitted to it and gave us a refund. My husband and I ordered the Indian tacos...one beef and one chicken. The beef is canned chili. Who knows what the chicken was...but I got both canned chili and chicken since they got my order wrong and must have just wiped the items off of the top of the frybread, left a layer of chili, and then dumped on new contents with the terrible tasting (supposedly) chicken. There was no reason for our order to be wrong either. The only other people there already had their order and 4 people were "working". Seriously... go to the grocery store, buy some bread, add on some canned chili and shredded generic cheese. It'll be loads better than this abysmal place. read more

We, 7 of us, loved this little spot of outdoor dining (only). We were there late July 2014. The service was a little slow being one young man out front and one in the kitchen but there were every nice. The prices were under $10. We got their fresh salsa and chips, burritos and different items and no one complained about the taste. It all seemed fresh. Now if you want a beer they will run over to the bar and get you one. We did park in the gravel parking lot of the bar. The cantina is located behind a run down mini golf which apparently if you really want to play the cantina will set you up. Saint Mary's Montana doesn't have a lot going on but if you like reasonably price dives go for it. Remember where you are and enjoy the moment. read more

We went on Sunday, 7/12/2015. I got the chicken Indian taco and my fiance got a burrito. We also split an order of chips & salsa. I don't know why someone else said the salsa was just a can of Pace. It was actually really fresh, delicious, and it had a surprisingly nice heat to it, with plenty of fresh veggies in it. The Indian taco I had was filling and tasty. It definitely did not taste like canned chili. The shredded chicken was tender. The veggies tasted fresh. Fiance was super happy with his burrito. Going to guess that the "Pace picante" lady threw nine kinds of hell and they agreed with/refunded her to get her to go away as it seems to be teenagers working the front. Anyways, we tried this place as we were driving through St. Mary's after the park. Neither of us wanted to go to Curly Bear as it looked fairly generic and touristy. We're both huge fans of dive places and we certainly weren't disappointed. I'm not going to say it's the best Mexican I've ever had, but I would happily eat there again! read more

Pros: Best place to eat in st Mary area near the east glacier area. I had their burrito, it was amazing, chicken in burrito was salty but I like salty food so did t have any issue It was very tasty and spicy compared to the burgers and fries kind of food you get in most places near the park. Cons: It's more like food truck kind of place. Quick place to eat. So if u r looking for some place to relax and eat, sit indoors then maybe this won't be suitable for you. read more

I'm not sure why the bad reviews for this place. I'm from San Antonio, TX and we had a dual family trip up here to Glacier and decided to stop in for some Tex-Mex. we left here with 12 happy Texans. Stopped here on the way back from Glacier National Park. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant has a nice outdoor patio that was great on this sunny day. Contrary to the reviews below, we thought the food was decent. It's not real Mexican but for a roadside Tex-Mex grill, it wasn't bad. I would have given them 4 stars until I went to the bathroom; the men's room was under construction so i used the women's room, which was really gross. When I flushed the toilet I heard a noise of water rushing outside, looked out the back and was shocked to see raw sewage from the toilet pouring out of a pipe right onto the back lawn. One of the worst Mexican restaurants I have ever been to. The girl working there was nice enough but the tacos and burritos were a mess. The chicken tasted like it was out of a can and salsa did not taste fresh. They had a sign saying there was going to be rave there later in the week and they totally did. We were camping at the St. Mary campground and could hear the music like it was coming from the tent next to us. It makes for a good story but I would never eat there again. read more

Food was very good. I had the burrito with fried avocados instead of meat and it was delicious. Definitely on the hot side of things with the pepper in it but that was okay with me. With the two varieties of salsas that came with the burrito it was delicious when all put together. I thought maybe it could have used a touch more salt in the ingredients but all in all I very much enjoyed my meal. The only reason for the docking of one star is that my partner and I brought our dog to wait with us in line. One of us accidentally stepped on his foot causing him to Yelp which then caused the worker in the kitchen to come to the front in a huff saying "If that happens again you'll have to leave. If anything happens we can't be responsible for it.". My partner and I were confused and chalked their response up to not really even knowing what had just happened with our dog and them probably assuming he was being aggressive towards someone or something like that. Anyway it seemed uncalled for and shook us up from what was otherwise a very pleasant experience. By the way- there was live music in the form of a musician singing and playing guitar by the seating area. Very nice! read more

This place was absolutely awful. They were out of beans, avocado, and chili, the staples of a mexican restaurant. The food made me sicker than I have ever been, and made me throw up everywhere. The girl at the counter was very rude, and laughed in the face of the customer in front of us when she told her she didn't eat meat and was looking for something with beans for protein. She messed up our order. The nachos came out with literally chips and tomatoes..nothing else and they charged $7 for that, I would have been better off going to the supermarket down the road and making dinner for myself, little did i know at the time. I've never seen a place so unorganized and dirty. The food took over 30 minutes to come out, which i could understand if the place was busy but it wasn't at the time. The only positive thing I can say about this place is that the man cleaning up or dishes when we were finished was great, he was friendly, inviting and hardworking unlike the rest of the staff. I would never suggest anyone goes here unless you are just looking for chips and salsa. The pizza place next door was awesome go there instead! read more

Just in town to do some hiking. Wanted to find a place for a Margarita. Hot night great drink and fun outside music. After salsa and chips ( and a second Margarita ) the chicken burrito was ordered. Great, spicy, big and a bargain. After Pacificios and Coronas, the sun is setting and and so am I. But had a great time. read more

Terrible Mexican outside the St. Mary's gate at Glacier National Park. The food took more than 30 minutes to arrive with about 10 parties waiting. They let us order without knowing what they did not have. My nachos had no jalapeños. My friend who does not eat red meat was given ground beef tacos and could not send them back. My burrito was missing several ingredients from the description. Do not go to this place. I recommend theTwo Sisters café up the road or the pizza place next-door. read more

This place was seriously AWFUL. I don't ever write negative reviews, but I truly felt like I needed to warn people about this place. We waited over two hours!!! Then we decided to get a refund. We couldn't even get our chips and salsa appetizer because they ran out of salsa? Everyone who got their food around us said it was disgusting. Bad Frog = Bad service. I think this is the most dysfunctionally-run 'cantina' I've ever experienced. If you are hungry... or don't want to wait over 1.5 hour to eat.. then stay away! My husband and I pulled in here, there's a shady deck with tables, it's all outdoor seating. There were perhaps 5 open tables and another 5 w people. My husband by default gets a burrito so I got in line while he grabbed a table. I had a group of about 6 ahead of me, plus a young couple. There were only 3 menus sitting on the counter and no one was sharing. Finally as they were stating their order I asked to see one. Being polite and considerate, I then shared the menu w the couple behind me. I had been standing in line at the counter at least a half hour twiddling my thumbs. Then I get to the counter finally, and a new lady appears and she tells me to go have a seat, she'll come over to me!!!!! There's at least 3 parties behind me in line by now. "Everybody?? But I know right now what I want!" Oh, OK..... she awkwardly took my order. I took a seat. We waited and waited. And I watched as the couple who had been behind me, plus their two kids, received their food, ate it, and left. All before I had any contact with a server. Waited and waited. Then a server brings something to a nearby table of ~8 new people and I had enough. I said, Miss, can we *please* get an ETA on our food? It's a very simple order, only two people...!" Our ice teas were long, long gone by then, but no way was I getting back in line. Magically our food appeared a minute later. WTH. It was fresh, good, but, GOOD LORD! We were told the guy who was going to make it was busy aka having a cigarette on the side of the building. We stopped at this little joint today and really enjoyed it. It's hard to find decent food in a small town and so were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Soft tacos and fried burritos, the salsa was freshly made and the beer was super cold. Also I thought the prices were good for a tourist area...most places want to gouge the heck out of you but not this place. I recommend it and would eat there again! Good job! read more

Had the shredded chicken burrito fried with guacamole and it was delicious. Great staff and atmosphere.
