Robust flavors in an unassuming location! We truly enjoyed our meal at Serranos. Our waitress was definitely stretched thin with the amount of tables and workload but she was awesome! We loved sitting outside and enjoying the wonderful August Montana weather. The white queso is a must order. The carne asada was great to split for 2 people- essentially fajitas. The drinks were underwhelming. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend for anyone staying in East Glacier to stop by!

The restaurant is small but mighty. We did have to wait 10 minutes to be seated, but it flew by. The night's special was a chimichanga with rice - beef, chicken, or pork. So after ordering some MT beers on draft, we ordered chimichangas and some tacos. There were fresh tortilla chips and some freshly made salsa to snack on while the food was prepared. Then the 4 of us were wowed at the portion sizes. Everything looked and tasted great! Friendly prompt service and great taste. Wow! It was really good.

Very good, fresh food. Service was good considering we were a table of 12. We all had various dishes and they were all well prepared.

    Burrito. It was huge.

Went back again. This time we split the burrito. We. Are. Stuffed. And it, too was excellent.

    Vegetarian enchilada dish. Very flavorful!

We'd attempted Mexican in Whitefish, but hubs couldn't find anything that appealed to him. We ran across Serranos while visiting Glacier, and--since we both still had the hankerin--said let's try it. Reviews mentioned fajitas but they weren't on the menu. Always a problem! Apparently they've changed it since the yelp photos. I ordered layered vegetarian enchiladas, I can't remember the fancy name for it. It was flavorful and enjoyable, it just didn't taste very Mexican to me. Hubs ordered the pork tacos and was not impressed with his corn, rice, or the floppy and tasteless corn tortillas that his tacos came in. They really should be crispy corn or flour, unless corn is requested. Portions were plentiful and the food was fresh. We just really prefer a legit and old school Mexican restaurant. I left satisfied.

    Mexican Chopped Salad. Delicious!!

Hands down the best Mexican I've had. In small towns, I generally feel like all Mexican restaurants are the same, and I am always underwhelmed. This was NOT the case! The food was incredible. I got the Mexican chopped salad and it had SO much flavor!!!! The service was great too. I also loved their unique spin on the tortilla chips.

Chicken enchiladas with cheese and chile pork topping was quite tasty . Service was excellent and we enjoyed the outside deck . My hubby ordered the grilled shrimp and excellent guacamole n chips . Nice music while we dined

Happening place as each night we passed there was a line of people waiting to get seated. We finally got in line on a Tues night at 6:30 and waited about 40 mins to get seated. Started with the salsa trio ($8) and salsa had a nice kick to it. My bride ordered the quesadilla and added chicken ($18) and enjoyed it. I went with the enchilada especial ($22) and it was tasty. Service was prompt and friendly.

Based on my experience, I'll be passing on that recommendation to other people going forward as well. Located about halfway between Pincher Creek and the Waterton park gates, The Twin Butte Country General store is an unassuming roadside attraction. From the outside, it would be easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for, but on the inside is one of the best tex-mex restaurants I've been to in Alberta. Service is friendly and fast. Our appetizers arrived very quickly after ordering and main courses soon after we were done with the first course. At a glance, the menu doesn't have many vegetarian options but most things can be made veggie on request if you like cheese, rice, and beans. I ordered a single enchilada with rice and beans on the side and it arrived smothered in delicious salsa and cheese. My husband also really enjoyed the fish tacos. It can get busy so reservations are recommended. We didn't have one and were lucky to snag the last table, but I won't be chancing it next time. I'd hate to miss out!

The food is beautifully presented and I appreciate their mocktail options. I had the fish special of the day, which happened to be seared halibut served with their achiote rice and onion & bell peppers. The halibut was seared beautifully but imo, cooked just 1 minute too long. The achiote rice could use a touch more seasoning but otherwise the food was delicious and the service was so warm and welcoming.

Arrived at 2:30pm, hostess said the kitchen was closed till 4. They are closed 2:30pm-4:00pm... But you can have drinks, chips and salsa... That would have been helpful information when we called. We were looking forward to eating here because of the many great reviews on Find Me Gluten Free. We were disappointed to say the least. Looked like a cute place, modern decor and atmosphere would have loved to actually eaten there. Would have left zero starts had it been an option. I just don't understand how an employee from any area of the establishment would fail to mention that the kitchen is closed when someone calls inquiring about a wait for a table! That's pretty messed up.
