Absolutely awesome experience. - When we arrived, the parking lot was pretty full but we were able to get a parking spot and although they were busy, we were seated immediately (choice of inside or outside). - Chips and salsa came right away and our server, Ulises, came to take our drink orders and dinner order right away. We loved him and his friendly service. - Our food came fairly quickly and was so hot and delicious. Large portions and fair prices. This is a very clean looking restaurant. Service was quick and efficient but not very friendly. The meal was ok, not very flavorful and I really did not like the refried beans, everything seemed very plain. The chips and salsa were my favorite part. Casa, mexico has some of the worst mexican food.I've ever had. I would love to see their kitchen.My guess is there are four big pots of food cooking on an oven. You get one scoop of the green stuff. Salsa is very watery and has no heat. We shared the chicken-beef-shrimp fajitas, which ended up mostly being peppers and onion. We asked if it cost extra for sour cream, and server said yes, so we said we didn't want it. He still brought it, so we figured he was giving it to get a better tip, then saw a charge for it on the bill. We'd eaten it, so of course we had to pay for it, but it wasn't cool. Virgin margarita served to a friend looked totally different than the one I got, and she got whipped cream and a cherry on top, and I didn't. It was watery too. Hello again, today I'm visiting Kalispell Montana and I came to eat some of my favorite food which is Mexican. I came to Casa Mexico and the place is beautiful inside and out. Service was nice and we feel welcome. I order a Molcajete, Casa Burrito and Mezcal Vida. In my opinion the food was good but as a Mexican my taste is different. This is the perfect place for everyone specially if you not Mexican and let me tell you why, is because a business owner has to focus in what most of his customers like and that's what Casa Mexico does. Mexico have lots of different taste when it comes to food and my taste is from Mexico City and I love super spicy food. Nice looking establishment, and that's pretty much where any positive ends. Seated promptly outside on a Sunday at 4:30. Quickly brought out chip/salsa (which were bland - if not store bought). The girl that brought them out evidently didn't speak English, as I asked about "Happy Hour" and she gave the "deer in the headlights" look. I tried two more times to no avail. A solid 7-8 minutes for the waiter to stop by and he was about as friendly as a mule guarding live stock. Did a yelp search coming back to hotel for anything open past 8pm (!). We arrived and this place was hopping. Not a spot in the parking lot so we knew we'd found gold. Had a short wait for our family of 5, Sat very quickly. They delivered chips and salads (chips still warm!) and took drink orders. Portions were huge and food was delicious with lots of options. We had fajitas, enchiladas, a burrito, quesadillas- all delectable with sides of pico and guacamole and rice and beans. Beware -margaritas are enormous. For Montana, this is good Mexican food but.....for me this is just an average Mexican restaurant. The food is pretty good but my socks weren't blown off. This is a stand alone restaurant. Ot is clean and decorated with traditional Mexican flair (piñatas and pottery). The Food: Chips and Salsa was average and nothing special to speak off. Guacamole: I've never had a guacamole I didn't enjoy..f. until today. It had all the usual ingredients but the ratios were off. It had a super strong flavor of onion and salt that over-powered the delicate flavor of the avocado. My husband and his sister split the Tri-Color Enchilada Plate which consisted of 3 enchiladas: 1 beef mole, 1 pork verde and cheese enchiladas. The mole was mild and the enchilada was moist and tasty. The pork verde was also good and the verde sauce was bright and slightly acidic. The cheese enchilada was salty. My brother-in-law ordered the Supreme Burrito with ground beef. He enjoyed the burrito very much. He said it was mist to wet with good veggies in/on it. On a 10 scale, he gave it an "8.5 out of 10". Had the meat been less mushy, it would have been a higher rating. I had the Chile Colorado Burrito and thought it was well executed. The flavor of the sauce was mild but full-bodied and the meat was tender. I'd give this burrito a 4 out of 5 star rating. In Summary, this is an average Mexican restaurant which, for Montana, is good. read more

We decided to check out Casa Mexico for dinner as it was walking distance to where we were staying and was one of the few restaurants that was still open late in Kalispell. It was a solid meal. We had no idea how busy the place was until we walked in and saw how nearly every table was taken. But fortunately, we were able to be seated immediately for the two of us, given how spacious the restaurant is. The menu was very large, with pretty much every classic Mexican entrée and combination. My partner had the carne asada plate while I had the taco salad with carnitas. I also ordered a huckleberry margarita, which was a must while in Montana. The food was solid. It was definitely satisfying, especially after a long day at Glacier National Park. The taco salad was your typical taco salad in a fried tortilla shell; but I gotta say, it was quite tasty, especially with the abundance of carnitas added on. I only recently realized these were on the menu, but now they're a nice inexpensive lunch (12 dollars for two tacos, rice and beans as a lunch special.) But if you're like my family member and like food covered in sauce, like some burritos or enchiladas, they've got that too! Yelp got this one right, 3* and this is me being generous. Spacious large parking lot, booth seating was fast, fairly large restaurant. They did have a seating area outside for social distancing. No one was wearing a mask, no mask shaming but yeah.... Waitress spoke broken English, I had to repeat order several times, she was not attentive at all during our visit. She dropped the food, check off and never came back. I took bill to front counter and paid for food. Front desk did say she was supposed to take our payment. We were able to enjoy a good Mexican meal at Casa Mexico. The food was on par with most restaurants except for the beans. They were above average. We came at dinner time and the place was very busy. The wait staff was very short with us. I can't complain though we got the attention we needed and the food and drinks came out fast! The decor in the place is neat. You can tell they have put a lot of effort to make a traditional building look like a house from Mexico! My only complaint was parking. If a minus-5-star review was possible, I'd give it. I can't speak to the food since I never received our order, but the customer service was the most inferior I've ever experienced. I called in an order for pickup and was told it would be ready in 5 to 10 minutes. My husband arrived 15 to 20 minutes later only to be told they didn't have an order for us. They told him he must have called across the street, which was an excuse. We verified that the correct restaurant was contacted. When I found out what happened, I contacted them. The guy who took my order told me they were "very busy and didn't know what happened" (his excuse for not placing our order), instead of just being honest and saying he forgot, which I would have respected more. I don't care for people with a lack of integrity, so I asked to speak to the manager. That was even more useless. Instead of providing me a moment to discuss, he kept interrupting me, never apologized, and was incredibly rude. It was already 7:05, and I wasn't going to wait another 20 minutes or more for them to make the food that should have been done in the first place. I understand mistakes happen, but next time, try being honest with the customer. It was disappointing, but I'd rather support a business that treats its customers better. read more

There's never really a lot of selection of Mexican restaurants in Montana. But this one in Kalispell does do the trick. I have visited here a few times and now I've decided to write my review. On my first visit I had ground beef tacos which were delicious. Then the last two visits I had their cheese enchiladas rice and beans which were amazing. My companion had a chili Relleno and she said it was very good. The first time I was with my husband and he had the Carnitas and said it was very good. Their salsa is very good and if you can keep from eating the whole basket of chips and salsa there will be room for your dinner. If you need a Mexican food fix this place should do the trick. read more

Food here is a solid 4, except for the shrimp dish (I think it was the camarenas la crema) which was one of my favorite all time things at any restaurant, but the service at the bar is great because you always get served quickly and the bartender always has the inside info on what is best to get and why...and he also seems to have an amazing memory because I hadn't visited for about six months, but after handing the menu to me he looked and then paused and said "you cut your hair." It's always busy and there's always a wait if you sit down, but the bar is usually open to walk into and find a spot on the stool. read more

I have to say that I used to not like this place so much, but they have really won me over recently. First of all, they are probably the FASTEST service in town. They get the food on the table so quickly after you order, even with large groups. Also, I feel that they've really improved the flavor profiles and quality from what it used to be years ago. While visiting Kalispelll, we decided to try this restaurant. Got seated quickly with a great ambiance.They serve complimentary chips and salsa. I ordered a chicken quesadilla that comes with rice and beans. Came out hot and tasted okay. Great service from staff. The Fluffy sopapilla tasted good drizzled with cinnamon and whipped cream.
