Hot Doggy Dos changed ownership a few months ago and we decided to book with the new groomer, Christina. The assistant, Jessica, is still working on the van, so there's still a familiar face. During the first groom, she was 2.5 hours late (they let us know that they were going to be running behind, but 2.5 hours is pretty ridiculous). Winnie had some mats and we were upcharged for taking out, but she didn't explain the charge to us. Overall, the cut was good so I went ahead and prebooked the next appointment. A week before the appointment, I received an email notification saying that my appointment was rescheduled. I contacted Christina and asked why it was rescheduled (I usually try to work remotely on the days that Winnie gets groomed but have to give notice to my work). She explained that she had us on the calendar for the rescheduled date and I screenshotted the initial confirmation (with the prebooked date) and then she said that they don't service my area on the day I prebooked. Then why would you prebook us then? We went ahead with the rescheduled date and they ran 30 minutes late. I decided not to prebook my next appointment and consider options elsewhere. Although the quality of the cut was great, I would prefer to go somewhere that is more organized. read more

The several times Ive used this mobile groomer they have always been on time and my pups come back happy and smelling/looking fabulous. Whenever contacting them I am ususally pleasantly surpised when I get an appointment within just a few days. The price is not inexpensive but the convienience makes it well worth it. read more

Called to make an appointment for my Collie and spoke to the owner who was was rude and very uninformative . Definitely does not know how to answer customers questions. When I asked about the how the size categories are determined and how dogs are qualified she could not explain and used terms like " well sometimes they are a large sometimes medium.. it all depends" . I'm beyond livid at this point I moved to the area in June and was looking for someone to groom my dog and I was excited to try Hot Doggy Dos. I tried to schedule my appointment in early October and they said they soonest they could schedule me for was a month later so I agreed and took the day off work. Less than 3 hours before my scheduled appointment she texted me she could no longer make my appointment and I had to reschedule it for a later date so now not only did I waste an entire day, I now have to take another day off and move my flight that was scheduled that day which is going to cost me an extra couple $100. And once she arrived, my anxious barky dog took only a minute to warm up to Sasina (I was shocked!). Sasina asked me a bunch of questions about how I wanted my dog groomed, and she let me come up into the truck to make sure my dog was comfortable. This business started off badly. Very late and a no show, however I have them another chance and paid WELL including tip. Once I saw them on my street after a no show, and they lied and said the van broke down. Well this time they were early and I responded letting them know my door was open and I was on way. It is great having someone come to the house so I don't have to leave my dogs for at least 3 hours at a pet store. She finishes both of my boys in usually just over an hour. Bruce (and my wife and I) loveed our experience with Hot Doggy Dos. Sasina and her colleague drove over to our apartment to groom Bruce the golden retriever for the first time yesterday. It was so easy and convenient - once she was ready she texted us to come out and we brought Bruce down. Her vehicle is one of the coolest things we've seen in a while; its perfectly clean and really convenient to walk outside and on to her grooming bus! After reviewing exactly what we were looking for we left Bruce with her for an hour and ran some errands. When we returned home, Sasina texted us again to let us know that Bruce was ready to be picked up. Bruce looked (and smelled!) great. Sasina and her colleague have an artist's-like command of whatever equipment they make use of grooming a large dog who doesn't necessarily like to stand still. Bruce's haircut was exactly what Sasina had described would be done in our pre-grooming meeting. We will definitely be calling Hot Doggy Dos again when Bruce needs grooming. I usually take my dog to the local Petco or PetSmart; the problem is the groomers tend to leave or get replaced and the results are always inconsistent; some groomers are great while others not so great. This was the best grooming experience I've ever had as a dog owner, and my Cavapoo agrees! Sasina is great -- super friendly and extremely skilled. Being that my pup was still around 4 months old, I was nervous about how my pup would allow someone to groom her. Sasina did a wonderful job and said my little girl did really well. I could tell with Sasina's calm demeanor how that would indeed be possible. Do not let these people near your pet. I have a goldendoodle and they tortured him. My dog had been getting groomed for years. Decided to try mobile grooming because he has anxiety and figured it would be an easier experience on him. They rushed his grooming and cut both of his ears, and yanked all the hair out from inside his ears and left raw spots. When they brought him back to me they up charged me because they said he was matted. I paid the fee, even tipped generously. When they brought my dog back inside my house, he ran inside to his bed. When I went to find him he was shaking uncontrollably. It was at that point that I saw the cuts on both ears. My poor dog shook for days. I texted them and they said it was normal to shake when the grooming is traumatic. WTF was his grooming traumatic??? He had been groomed every three months of his life and he NEVER shook or was traumatized after. He is a part poodle so he does have anxiety but nothing off the charts. I haven't taken him to be groomed since because I just feel so bad for him. I have been doing my best to do the grooming myself. Please avoid this horrible people. read more
