My friend and I were visiting from Salt Lake City specifically to do a ghost tour, so we purchased tickets to Bad Wolf because it has great reviews. Extremely disappointed in the service we received. San Antonio has two Hotel Indigos (who knew!) and for out-of-towners like us, we were unaware of this. We walked to the wrong location (the correct location is not listed on their website), and when we called the company to see where everyone was, they 1) wouldn't wait for us to walk over there (which is fine- we get it, there are other people on the tour) and 2) refused to refund us. When we inquired as to why, they said, "Well, you two were the only ones we had booked, and that's the only money we have to send the tour guide out..." Pretty confused by this considering the reason they wouldn't wait for us is because there were other people on the tour (who I assume were also paying the tour guide????). Very frustrating experience. Complete lack of customer care and integrity. read more

So I went on the tour a couple weeks ago with my family. I had previously been on the tour and had thought that they would enjoy it. For anyone who thinks 20.00 is too pricy; you need to take into consideration the drink specials you get with the wrist band and the free cover charge to get into the bars. How is 20.00 too pricy? Our tour guide Bad Wolf has a fun way of telling the factual history and paranormal stories of each of the sites he takes you to on the Ghost Walk. He kept things interesting and made sure everyone was having a good time! Be sure to wear your walking shoes and bring water if you're going on a summer night. He gives out fans to keep you cool, and EMF detectors too! As far as we know we did not encounter any spirits but we had an amazing time and learned a lot about the city and it's long history. How much fun was this! Traveled to Texas for our annual birthday trip, and we decided to spend a few nights in San Antonio. I try to look for a Ghost Tour or haunted pub crawl in each city I visit, and came across some great reviews for Bad Wolf. As a bit of a Whovian, I was hooked! The tour got started right on time, and Mr. Wolf himself was our tour guide. The 'spooky' music was an excellent touch! Tour group sizes are mandated by the city, I believe, so the group size was not overwhelming and everyone was able to hear our guide throughout the evening. The 90 minutes passed quickly, we got some good walking in, and overall, had a grand time! I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the San Antonio area! read more

Bad Wolf was fantastic and not only knowledgable about his craft, but very enthusiastic and excited about it as well. It was very cool to not only get the ghost stories and gruesome histories of the stops, but to get a history lesson in general: he even knew what kind of ivy grew on the Alamo garden walls. His genuine heir, ease in front of a crowd, and obvious fascination with the city made it that much more enjoyable to tag along on the fascinatingly creepy walk about downtown San Antonio, and as someone who not only just moved here two months ago but who is also terribly addicted to the sort of history presented in the tour, it was a really fun highlight to the night, and I'm very glad for the recommendation I received to check it out. Credit to my good friend Kurt Crosley for said recommendation :] I have only very small critiques: sometimes certain events were referred to too vaguely, and it made me curious as to the details of what was found in Wolf's research. I also would have liked there to have been a little bit more room for questions at each stop: as a writer, I am obsessed with the little details, and would have liked just a tad more information on each stop, as well as a little bit of time to meander about and get a good look at what was before me. None of these critiques were at all enough to take away from the experience, however, and I'll start throwing out my own recommendations from now on. read more

My husband and I are in from Chicago. We picked up a Groupon for Bad Wolf Ghost Tours a few weeks before our trip in anticipation of the rich history San Antonio has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting "Wolf" our tour guide who was knowledgeable with a refreshing sense of humor. "Wolf" provided us with EMF detectors and was completely honest that they picked up on the underground magnetic waves from the street lights, but it was fun regardless to watch everyone light up when their equipment buzzer and flashing lights were sent into a tizzy. As for the ghost stories, each one was both entertaining and educational with no sensor on some of the gruesome deaths. Overall, this was an enjoyable experience and a fun way to spend an evening. This was the highlight of my trip to San Antonio. The pub crawl is great on so many levels. Every bar or hotel we visited gave us discounts on our drinks. What would normally be a $16 tab for two drinks downtown was more like $8. I was surprised at the end of the night when I stumbled away from the tour with a pocket still full of money I expected to spend on expensive drinks. If you're going to drink downtown, might as well join the tour which will easily pay for itself with in your first few drinks. I was highly impressed with Wolf as a tour guide. He was professional and extremely knowledgeable about the different locations and the many stories that have been passed down over the years. Some really beautiful and creepy scenery along the way. As the night progressed and the drinks kicked in the whole group loosened up and ending at Pat O'briens was perfect with live music and hurricanes that will get ya shlurricaned.
