I had the whole place to myself! Highly recommend the salmon salad, the ingredients were fresh and the salmon was perfectly cooked.

Got the salmon sandwich and a Cobb salad to-go - both were just amazing. The chef really knows what he is doing.

If you feeling like a baddie, order the "girl dinner" it's this HUGE martini glass filled to the brim with a Caesar salad TOPPED WITH SHOESTRING FRIES aaaaaaand you get either a drink or a dessert (I got the espresso martini option) 10/10 do recommend. The food was fresh, flavorful, and prepared to perfection. We had the veggie burger and the Blackened Carolina trout! The trout was seasoned to perfection along with the vegetable medley! Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Whether you're looking for a casual lunch, a date night, or a place to celebrate with family and friends, I highly recommend California Dreaming. Great food, excellent service, and a memorable dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

They had a decent selection of beers on tap, and my friend definitely liked their selection of wines. I got some of the croissants as an appetizer, which were good, but a little expensive for what you were actually getting. I got the chicken tenders and fries to eat, which were solid, but nothing otherworldly. I do think my guest liked her meal, although I'm not completely sure what it's called. As for the service and ambiance, California Dreaming is definitely the darkest restaurant I've ever been to, which I guess is either a pro or a con based on personal opinion. I presume that it would be a good spot for a date night, but maybe not the best spot for casual dining (which is obviously the point of a restaurant like California Dreaming). Our server was nice, relatively attentive, and I'd say that he did a good job overall. All-in-all, I debated giving the restaurant either three (3) or four (4) stars, but I ultimately went with four (4). It was a unique experience, but I won't necessarily be rushing back. I think that has as much to do with personal taste than anything that they did wrong or right, however.

The drinks were blended very well and used fresh lime juice, which was nice. The appetizers -- the kimchi fries and the boneless wings were pretty standard. The fries were crunchy, but we felt like there was more cheese than there was kimchi and sauce, so we've had better kimchi fries elsewhere. The cheese was very gooey though. The boneless wings weren't as crunchy as they could have been, especially coming out in a stone dish, but the garlic soy sauce was still pretty good. Our mains were really good -- the japchae, which I ordered with fried tofu, had the right texture and flavor, and was delicious yet spicy. The tofu was a little bland though. My partner enjoyed the squid and pork belly dish and said that the sauce was similar to the japchae sauce. The portions were pretty normal and not too big, so we had a few leftovers but not too many. The prices were also pretty reasonable as well. Overall we were really happy with our food here and would come back if we ever visited again.
