After 2 and a half days of driving from Houston, I wanted something healthy as my lunch break. I opted for this cute place in Redlands which left some things to be desired. The chicken avocado ranch wrap tasted fine; I can't ask for anything outstanding out of such a simple menu item. I hoped for more out of the chia pudding though. It looks deceivingly delicious but tasted disappointing plain. Nutrition wise, the ingredients meet the mark. This eatery offers all types of fiber, complex carbs, proteins, and micronutrients that the average American restaurant lacks. I also appreciated how polite the workers were. I loved they put it in two smaller bowls. We added almond butter to it, which was tasty imo. They have outdoor seating which is perfect for good weather. The vibe is comfy and welcoming. I never knew that this place existed! It's tucked away in a nice location in Redlands. They have some tables and benches outside. There isn't a place to sit inside. You just order at the counter and they have the menu available for you to see. The woman who worked at the register was very friendly. The prices were fair. After a 20% tip, it was about $32 total for two açaí bowls. I got the protein açaí bowl and a Malibu bowl for later. I didn't have to wait long even though it seemed like there was only one woman there taking orders and making the food. I waited about 15 minutes. The protein bowl blend had açaí, chocolate almond milk, protein powder, peanut butter, banana, and strawberries and was topped with granola, apples, banana, and strawberries. The Malibu Bowl blend had pitaya, coconut milk, pineapple and bananas and was topped with bananas, strawberries, blueberries, goji berries, granola, and honey. I used to LOVE this place but decided to take a break about a year ago because the service wasn't great and they were always out of stuff. Fast forward to last week we walk in and like in two seconds the lady working the cash register is like "do you know what want?" I said no we need a minute. One second later,"do you know what you want?" Me, nope need a minute. Then was kind of snippy when I went to order something they were out of. Not friendly. Just meh as far as food for the price. The bowls are very smooth. I had the badger bowl which was the most reccomended. My friend had the trestles bowl which had more of a peanut butter and chocolate flavor. Feels like mom and pop type of store with the family atmosphere to grab a healthy açaí bowl. If you are in Redlands I recommend this hole in wall spot. Little hidden but the seats are outside. I'd rather buy bowls from Flavor Theory (Riverside) or the smoothie stand inside Loma Linda Market or the smoothie stand inside Gerrard's (Redlands). I found this place from a link to the Believe Walk that happened yesterday October 1st. Badger Bowls was opened earlier and were donating 20% of the proceeds from the "Believe Bowl" to the Believe Walk. I ordered the Believe Bowl (aka the Laguna Bowl) which consisted of pitaya, coconut/pineapple juice, bananas, strawberries, and mango base blend; then topped with bananas, strawberries, coconut shreds, granola, honey. Close but out-of-the-way, Badger Bowl has healthy convenience in mind. We stopped by to pick up lunch (they don't have indoor dining and only a few tables outside in the sun). To hold us over until we drove home we shared a Little Badger Smoothie (see pic). Since this day was a 90 degree fall day, the ice cold drink was quite refreshing. It's a blend of fruit, bananas and spinach. The individual fruit flavors meld together except for the banana flavor, which is somewhat pronounced, and the spinach. The spinach also adds distinctive granulated texture. Overall, it was not bad - as far as healthy drinks go. The Little Badger Smoothie lives up to its name (see pic to see relative size and price). The Cobb Salad was fresh and crisp. It had all the basic elements as listed. The Blue Cheese crumbles were plentiful and rich. The Ranch Dressing was also rich and creamy. This isn't a lo-cal salad, so to shave a few calories order the dressing on the side to be used sparingly. The Turkey Sandwich was ample. The turkey was sliced turkey sandwich meat. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. Good or bad, the put mayo on each piece of bread. A standout was the availability of Squaw Bread which was characteristically slightly sweet and earthy. This was reasonably priced. Their breakfast bowls and smoothies look intriguing and worthy of follow-up. read more

Came to this spot because it was suggested by someone. Upon walking in from the fresh outside air, I noticed a pungent smell from dog treats that were displayed on a table. First off, the dog treats are sealed in a bag, but the odor was overpowering. To be honest, I couldn't really focus because my senses were focused on the smell. Let me say this, I was wearing a mask too. When I walked inside, I was easily distracted by everything. There's a lot going on in this place. Too much signage and the decor is hideous. I guarantee you, you will not find the menu. I had to ask where it was. I find this comical in itself. Anyhow, I ordered the lemonade with add shot of flavor. It was delicious. Note, large is $5. I guess this is reasonable? I think $3 is more reasonable, but with everything going up in price, I can see why $5. Something to get used to. There was a lady in the back that seemed to be the owner possibly that almost seemed a bit bossy more than friendly. She corrected my drink price when I was rung up. I was charged $3, but then the owner corrected her by yelling that I was charged wrong, that the large was $5. As a new business, this is something that should be honored. Especially, if the mistake was done right in front of me and verbalized. There's losses you take when you own a business. $2 loss would've been sufficient as that was the total that I was asked to pay first. Will I be back?
