I came here as part of the yearly scavenger hunt. I went there in the morning because the sun was not yet too high or hot. There are only a few places to eat open for breakfast and other times. I think the best part of the meal was the bread. It was crunchy and moist enough. The sandwich meats were definitely on the dry and salty side. I wonder if they were fresh cut. Similarly, there was some sauce but I did not notice it very much between the mayonnaise and other condiments inside the sandwich. I don't know if the idea is to make the sandwich extra salty so I'll buy more drinks. The kombucha is really tasty, but I warn you that it's 8% alcohol, so a bit potent to have too many of. The ginger molasses cookie is super yummy, just the right amount of sweet and spice. Their wine selection is extremely limited, having only a canned pinot noir and a chardonnay, which is why I get the kombucha. But they have a pretty good selection of draft beers if you like beer. Stell is located in a flex business park complex. It's kind of an unusual location however, on the Sunday that we came it was busy. The line was out the door. The coffee was good, the atmosphere was great, and the breakfast menu was also pretty good. I order my usual latte and it's a medium roast and shared a breakfast sandwich. I committed epic Yelp fail by not taking pictures of any of it because we were just so busy chatting. Despite its kind of unusual location, it is a spot that apparently a lot of the locals know and worth a visit. Casual. Indoor and some outdoor seating. Good service. Amazing Americano (hot) along with an iced americano with pumpkin spice syrup and whole milk. Kiddos tried their kids hot chocolate and they loved it too! I didn't take pics of their pastries. But we had an oatmeal cookie for the road. And another oatmeal cookie that has cranberry too! Their sandwiches are to die for! We had their crantastic press toaster, and omggggg super tasty. Surprisingly good! First time at Stell Coffee and I wasn't sure what to order, but the kind gentleman at the counter recommended their popular espresso with honey and cinnamon. It was tasty a solid 7/10 the iced green tea we ordered was definitely a 9/10! The sandwiches were great, the bread was soft inside with a nice crunch on the outside, really fresh. But the standout? That gluten free chocolate chip cookie. I've never had a GF cookie that fluffy and flavorful it didn't taste gluten free at all. Even my husband, who usually hates anything gluten free, was impressed. I come here fairly regularly and have had a great experience every time! It's a nice location and they are actually currently expanding to the building next door, so it'll be great to have more space in here because it is popular and can get crowded! I usually end up having to wait 5-10 minutes in line before I order. Although today was about a 20-minute wait for food once you order. It can get a little pricey if you get a drink and food, but it won't disappoint! I do wish that their punch cards were a little bit better of a deal (free 16 oz drip coffee or $2 off any drink after 10 drink purchases). By the time you've bought 10 drinks (and I usually get food too, so each time I'm here I'm buying for 2-3 people which ends up being close to $60 each time), you've already spent close to $100, so if you don't drink coffee like me, then you're only getting $2 off of your drink once you finish the punch card. It seems to me like it should apply to any beverage and be a little better of an incentive for being a loyal customer. Their staff are super friendly and efficient. They have a great selection on their menu and I love how many options they have for teas! I usually get an iced matcha latte with oat milk and it is delicious. I love their sandwiches too. It's so sad that this place is so averse to people studying or working on their laptops here. After ordering $15 worth of items after waiting in line I was made aware that the owner purposely ensures that there are no outlets available. There are also signs for no laptops inside but they are only visibly at the tables (i.e. not on the front door before you walk in or inside visible when you're waiting in line ). Showed up to a coffee shop with a laptop and was excited to sit down, eat & get some work done but instead was pointed to the one outlet available outside that was conveniently not even working. However, reached out to Stell via email upon multiple experiences with a barista (Alabama St.) who employed a practice of moving my coffee cup last so that I had to wait more than half an hour for my coffee (3 people in line). Didn't hear back from Stell so I stopped going. Decided to go at a different time months later but unfortunately that same barista was there (large tattoo of a classic movie monster identifying her) and I saw her move my order on paper for a "blatt". Again, waited over 1/2 hour for my sandwich while others who ordered after me were served. Cook who brought it out looked confused when he noticed the time on the receipt. Just smh & left.
