    Beautifully remodeled!

I had just come off the trail an hour earlier from backpacking hardcore in the Badlands just down the road. I was in need of protein and people! The bartender was a darling -- professional, pleasant, fun, and thoughtful. She took good care of me, and made sure I was able to get dinner even though it was close to the kitchen's closing time. Badlands Bar has been remodeled and the interior is bright and welcoming in a natural wood finish for very basic, hand built looking furniture. The restaurant bar is quite big and I can imagine it can get quite busy and accommodate a lot of people. It's very, very clean throughout. Forndinner, I had steak tips with fries -- I asked for medium rare and it came medium well. The meat was nothing special but it was definitely lean and and exactly what I was looking for after days of backpacking in the Badlands. The French fries were great, although next time I will try the coleslaw instead. The fat fried homemade bread was not as good as one of the servers said it would be. The price for my dinner was absolutely reasonable. I will definitely return after my next trip to the Badlands.

It's overpriced. The food is ok. The service is meh. What does this place have going for it? It's better than the cafe at Wall Drug. That's the draw. I went with the chicken philly. It's not bad. Kinda tastes like something you can make at home. The fries that come with it, however, are pretty tasty. The rest of the family got personal pizzas. They weren't great. They were ok. I'd say on the level of a DiGiorno. Edible. Serves the purpose. But when the bill comes, it's gonna hurt a little more. I'm not telling you not to go. After all, there isn't a ton of choices in Wall, and it is better than where most people go in Wall Drug. But with any tourist trap, you never feel great afterwards. You've been had. And you know it. If given the choice, I'd recommend avoiding Wall altogether as far as dining goes. Drive down the road a tad and get something better and more reasonable.

Food was mediocre, appetizer was very very little quantity for price. Main meal would of been more enjoyable without all the flies swarming around us

I ordered the "mashed potatoes topped with chicken breasts". What i got was a pile of mashed potatoes with two chopped up chicken strips... yes, chicken strips. That plate was $15.50. Extremely misleading. All our plates were on the higher price scale and def not worth it.

Wall doesn't have a lot of options and I wanted a decent burger. It has 4 stars and I'm hoping for the best. After I got the burger I noticed no lettuce and tomato. Found out you have to ask for it. They were generous with the fries. Good service friendly staff and the place seems clean. I don't expect too much and it was really good.

Food was a solid OK and the service struggled between neglect and downright rude. Food: Ordered the Rancher Burger which had great bacon and a thick hand pressed patty. The bun was forgettable and the sauce nonexistent. Service: Waited a solid 20 minutes before anyone came to get our drink order. Waitress came to our table a total of 4 times in 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once to drop the menu, once to drop drinks and take orders, once to drop the check. Had to laugh when the couple next to us waived down the waitress and she yelled across the room that their ticket was next. Didn't bother to ask them what they wanted, probably thirsty like us after buying a $3 small single cup of soda which appears to be the visit limit. Severely disappointed we stopped to eat here instead of just continuing into Rapid City. This was 2PM so not exactly busy.

Across from the biggest tourist trap I have ever seen - we had a blast at Wall Drug, but when you go there...... Eat here. Great burger with a nice bar. Then head back to the BadLands. Clean and reasonable - nice people.

Bacon cheese burger. I ate half before remembering the pic!

Decent burger joint. They have other menu items but I didn't want to get too fancy. Everything was pretty good. Strong Russian work force and their English wasn't great. Good service tho.

They have very rude employees. I went here for a takeout dinner and they said the kitchen was closed at 4pm.

Good food and service. This is a better alternative than the Wall Store where everybody heads to.

Fries were a little over cooked, steak was tough at medium rare. Service was good though.

Way better than the reviews suggest. We are in the middle of nowhere. This is more than decent and the service is super friendly.

Ate here twice on our Badlands trip in November (Thanksgiving weekend when the town is like…read morebasically shut down)! The first night we tried the Buffalo Ravioli Bolognese & a steak with "seasonal veggies" (multi-colored-carrots). My Bolognese was good, but a little too much flavor on the meat sauce overwhelmed the ravioli. The Carrots with the steak were undercooked with no flavor. They really like Basalmic! its on the salads, veggie drizzle, coated the meatloaf - thinking in the bolognese too based on the flavor profile. 2nd day we got the buffalo meatloaf to share - my dad kept going on and on telling everyone how that's the best meatloaf he's ever had. It came with the carrots again & broccoli, plus mash potatoes. The Wedge Salad - probably the BEST I've ever had! We got it both nights! Now we are addicted to ordering them every time we have dinner together. I also tried the Huckleberry margarita (they were out of blackberries to make the Blackberries & Cream but I really wanted to try that too). It was sweet but unique. The ambience & decor was very attractive and part of what made us pick this restaurant first in our 3 night stay. It's on the corner down the road from Wall Drug. Beautiful white stone shopping strip. Had a gorgeous Holiday decor to it - Big tree in the front door and a few small ones. Brown leather chairs & hightop, Edison lighting everywhere, Cobblestone at the bar....Rustic and chic.

Had to flag down a waiter to take our order. But service turned out good. The restaurant has a modern western theme which was warm and inviting. They also had a wedding going on up on the second level which was fun ands exciting. As for the food, I ordered the wedge salad with steak. The steak was chucks of steak (mo small portion) for $12.00 extra and they were cold but flavorful. The salad portion was also on the small side. My husband's side wedge salad was much larger. He ordered the Cornish hen was tasty severed with delicious mashed potatoes which were buttery and on point.

Started with a side salad. The blue cheese dressing was full of chunks of blue cheese and perfect. I'm picky on that! They didn't just use iceberg lettuce but a mix of other lettuces. I like that a lot. Whiskey tips in a sauce that was great. As promised, there was a kick. Side of beans ands they were cooked to the right al dente. Just the right spices. I felt like the portions were generous. I think two people could split that order. I would have taken leftovers but was on an expense account and wanted to try another place my second night! The waiter although sweet and new, had no clue what ranch dressing was or what a Moscow mule was. He kept trying to take our menus when we hadn't even ordered yet. I ordered a rattlesnake margarita and got a regular house margarita instead. My date ordered a mojito but they didn't have all the ingredients to make it. The drinks came out without much alcohol in them at all, if any, and felt that they were overpriced juice more than anything. We then ordered soft pretzel bites and beer cheese and they were hard as a rock - so bad that we sent them back. Luckily they took them off the check. Then our food finally came out - the kitchen was VERY slow - and honestly I think Tyson's frozen chicken tenders were better than these. The breading was hard as a rock, and was peeling off like they had been frozen and baked too long or something? The only good thing about the place was the fries, which were crispy and tasted fresh. The next day we left the Badlands NP and came into Wall after sunset only to find that once again, Badlands Saloon and Grille was the only restaurant open. We chose to get a bunch of snacks from the gas station instead because there is no way we would ever go back there after that poor experience. Despite the interior of the restaurant being decorated nicely, they really need to focus on the quality of the food and training staff - it has so much potential for being one of the few restaurants in Wall around the national park. But I don't recommend eating here, even if it is the only place open in all of Wall.
