I was in town on business and thought I'd give this place a try they were sold out of most items so wasn't really able to try. the really good stuff they had on the menu I had beef ribs and chicken the beef ribs are okay the chicken was good the best thing I had there was there jalapeno mac and cheese so next time I'm out that way I'll give it another try hopefully get to try some of the other menu items read more

Great food. It was a busy Sunday afternoon so seating is limited as there were many large parties. I tried the Lonestar, a brisket sandwich, which they suggest getting it chopped. It had some inedible fatty pieces but not a deal breaker. The brioche bun is delicious although mine was a little burnt. I opted for the coleslaw which is good, fresh and light but the french fries looked so much better. The lemonade is way too sweet and I love sugar. Yummy for my Tummy! It was our first time and hopefully not the last, as long as the main food is just as good as the first time. Went in last Sunday for an impromptu birthday celebration and the girls at the counter offered up the dining area. We scooped up a booth and a couple seats at the bar to accommodate us and the bartender/server was more than welcoming. The food was delicious and service was great! Second time coming, as i wanted more than a first opinion to give a solid rating. Both times I personally ordered the brisket sandwich chopped. It is awesome, first time I ever understood the "its so tender it melted on your mouth" thing people say. Great flavor, tenderness and everything else you'd want in a BBQ sammie. The fries are good, basic fries with some seasoning. Not too much to go into there My girlfriend got the chicken Sammie, I believe called the Cali and loved it. Her only recommendation was to get it cut in half to make it easier to eat. Sides I've had was the mac n cheese which I loved, great kick to it. The fried pickles and jalapeños are good as well, go well with the sriacha (sp?) Ranch. The other bonus (IMHO) is their beer selection. Not many places offer most the taps to craft breweries and multiple ipas to choose from. I'm not comparing here to a craft beer bar but the selection is good. It influences my choice in where to eat. All in all I've enjoyed both visits and my girlfriend loved it as well. Reasonably priced BBQ , good beer selection and a local business. Its annoying to me when I hear people compare it to (insert a corporate chain BBQ joint here). This is a local business, the owner created the rubs/sauces and it blows away dickies or famous Dave's. I went in for the first time with a friend today and the service was absolutely amazing the front lady was so nice and helpful I wish I had gotten her name and even the owner (or so I'm assuming) came out and greeted us and thanked us for coming in. OK I've been here before and it was delicious. This time....not so much. Brisket came out COLD, pulled pork was so dried out it was tough and sauce couldn't save it, and the ribs were eh at best. The service wasn't rude, but it seemed like I was a bother to the girl who took my order. When I asked for butter and honey for the tiny piece of corn bread, she got it for me and TOSSED IT ON THE TABLE. Portions are small for the money...sad. This place used to be really good. read more

Came here on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised. Nice simple place with good barbecue flavor and Hangar 24 on tap. We ordered the Badlands sandwich, the Porky, regular fries, mac n cheese, and corn on the cob. Badlands was huge, with a lot going on. Mac n cheese was mildly spicy with a little sweetness as well. Corn had what may have been a Chipotle mayo and butter. The fries were great. All-in-all a perfect spot to hit if you're craving barbecue. The two table sauces were very good as well, but would have liked maybe one more to add to the variety. I will definitely be back. read more

Food and service were excellent! They have a decent craft beer selection, but the few beers I chose, which are usually delicious, tasted off. Badlands may want to clean/check their tap lines, just in case. There are plenty of reasons beer flavor can be off from time to time, too, so most likely not Badland's issue. Service was good, we didn't exactly get a warm welcome, but whatevs. Portions are pretty big. Sides are tasty, really enjoyed the jalapeño bacon mac and cheese and their coleslaw. First time I had their brisket and it was good. The most recent time I had their "Carolina Pulled Pork". I wish I had asked before ordering what kind of sauce they use. Carolina style is supposed to be vinegar based so it's sour. I lived in the South and traveled throughout for close to six years, y'all. Best BBQ I've had in California and comes close to TX. Had the double play with Pulled pork, brisket, mashed potatoes, and Jalapeno M&C. All excellent. All the meat was tender and juicy with a great taste. My wife had the Piggy with fries and a side of Baked Beans. She really enjoyed it too. The staff was nice and attentive. Prices seemed steep at first, but then got the food and I think we got what we paid for especially seeing the portions. The Double Play can be shared between two people easily so we I had leftovers and looking forward to a late night snack. I shall return. read more

Drove all the way out to Norco (2 hour round trip drive, ugh!) for a specialty clothing store that was supposed to be open but wasn't. This BBQ place made the trip worthwhile anyways! So good! My picky teen who isn't a huge fan of new food cleaned her plate of pulled pork even before she touched the very good fries. I had the combo plate with pulled pork and brisket, both excellent, and they gave me Mac and cheese instead of the mashed potatoes I ordered. I was going to carry it back and ask to switch it....but....it looked pretty good, so I just ate it lol and even though I'm not a Mac and cheese person I really liked it. Earlier this evening we decided to have dinner here with our family the Server/ manager Alexus approached our table rushing us for our drinks. She then proceeded to tap my 11 year son on his baseball hat, because he didn't answer her fast enough! The first problem we had was how she asked us how we wanted our bill split. I told her and then with frustration she answered "I'll just put it on one check"! (Okay, so why even ask) she took our food order and our other tables order and she never came back. Other servers delivered our food, without her checking on us, the food that I ordered never arrived and was forgotten, as I waited patiently, We also ordered alcoholic beverages which she failed to card us, So if anyone is looking to go to a place and not be carded this is the place!!! She Also told us we weren't allowed to have any service animasl in the restaurant deflecting from her mistakes Papers and all she insisted She made us feel like the food we received was a baked potato and is was a mashed potato wrapped in foil She also grabbed my sister n laws arm after continuously telling her that the baked potato wasn't a baked patato it was mashed potato in foil... All she offered after all this was to take the potato off the bill No customer service skills at all. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE HORRIBLE SERVICE HORRIBLE MANAGER ALEXUS W.
