Some of the best authentic Mexican food I've had. The adobada was juicy and well seasoned and every bite was a blast of flavor. The asada was just as yummy! The quesabirria was a one of my favorite things on the menu, one of the best I've had. Everything I had was top-notch! One of the best parts was the salsa bar. They had onions, cilantro, red sauce, green sauce, limes, everything you could want for your tacos. The service was quick, even with a large lunch crowd coming in. The restaurant filled up quickly, the dine-in seats were all about taken and the outdoor patio was filling up too. The parking lot was very limited and one way, so just know that when pulling in. I was passing through the area and was craving some quesabirria tacos, so I found this place through Yelp. The reviews looked solid, so I figured, "Oh what the heck, why not?" I ordered in advance and went to pick up my food, but since I was starving, I ended up just eating there on their patio. The tacos were okay. Personally, I thought they were pretty mid and not as flavorful as I was hoping they'd be. They did have a spicy sauce that I dipped the tacos in, and that definitely helped the flavor. I personally didn't love the tacos, but to be fair, I also didn't try anything else on the menu so I can't speak for the rest of their food. The place itself is a decent size, and the patio area is actually pretty nice. The staff was very kind, my order was ready right on time, and I appreciated that they weren't stingy with the sauces. Best breakfast burritos in Corona by far. I've tried multiple places around the area and this is by far the best option. First time I've ever tried beans in a breakfast burrito and I'm glad I did. Serves the same function as avocado adding a creaminess but with more flavor. I get an asada and bacon breakfast burrito. My only critique is that the potatoes are crispy. Tacos Purp Jalisco is a fun spot to grab some good Mexican food. I really enjoyed this spot and the food was decent. They have a nice little spot off the highway and indoor and outdoor seating. You order and pay upfront and then sit down and they will bring it out. Service was pretty good, they answered every questions and made sure we were good and knew where everything was. I got the birria tacos and one of their wet burritos and both were pretty good. The birria was good and the consomé had some unique flavored in it but was not as flavorful as I've had in other places. The tacos had a great crisp too. Delicious! The meat was just exquisite. I loved everything I got from this place! This has been some of the best Mexican food I've had in a while. I appreciate the sauce bar with your choice of cilantro/onions, red onions, radishes, green salsa, etc with little to go containers. It's incredibly clean, which is always awesome to see. $22 for two loaded breakfast burritos - one with bacon, one with asada. For a $10 burrito, tons of asada. I've never had a tortilla so fresh. Their sauce bar is amazing. Fresh, smoky, flavorful. They need to start charging for their sauces and I would pay for them. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The carrots were great. Not too mushy and not too hard. Just right! The torta needed a little more meat but the bread was soft and over all seasoned well. I forgot to add guacamole to the tacos so it was a little dry but that's more my fault. The freeway entrance was under construction so we went through a ton of businesses. I thought the restaurant would be empty but it was packed! I tried to see what the portion size was on a $9.99 burrito but 75% of the patrons were eating massive bowls of menudo or birria. The latter being $16-20 depending on if you get all meat, etc. It looked and smelled phenomenal but I was eating it in the car so we opted to get: $3.99 Quesabirria $2.10 street taco (asada,al pastor...I skipped the chicken) We did not get but FYI: $2.50 Cabeza, tripe, & birria street tacos The quesabirria was a little crunchy from the cheese char with juicy flavorful birria. What I thought was a small container of consume was actually mostly chile oil and burned my nasal passages clean. Tacos were good, meat portions were generous. Only gripe I have is the onions + cilantro, pickled carrots, limes, & salsa bar gets backed up and I felt rushed trying to get my lids on and not take up too much time. My people pleasing self will need to come back at a less busy time because TPJ easily slides into the top 5 taco spots I've had in my life. Easy 5 stars. Highly recommend!! read more

ASADA BURRITO! I was on way to my weekly basketball league games, I was in the mood to try something new. This place came up and it didn't disappoint me. I also got Birria taco, it was good but not the best. But their asada meat was in another world! It is in odd place among the construction around but once you figure it out, this is a must. My dad's go-to is Tacos Puro Jalisco, a small Jalisco-style taco chain with locations in Fullerton and Corona. Tacos here are done the right way -- all meats are chopped to order, and the salsas are made in-house. The Corona outpost calls the still-under-construction Los Arcos Plaza home, alongside a local dentist and small-time insurer. The corner shop is well-landscaped, and black metal patio furniture sits among palm trees and birds of paradise. Inside, harsh fluorescent lights shine down upon the mostly empty customer area. The walls have gaudy decorations from the neon signs to a larger-than-life Puro Jalisco al pastor logo. A few laminate wooden tables are pressed against the paneled wall to the left, while a faux stone counter loops along the windows on the right. The menu is displayed on flat screens above the ordering counter. Spanish language radio starkly contrasts the clang of chopping and the sizzling grill. My dad warned that the line could get unwieldy during normal meal hours, but there was only a steady trickle of customers during the mid-afternoon lull. We each ordered 5 tacos and a drink, which were served up on a paper plate in a matter of minutes. Of the meats, my favorites were the tender, flavorful (goat) Birria and the crispy Tripa. I also wholly enjoyed the melt-in-your-mouth Quesabirria (although I would have welcomed consome to dip) and the rich, fatty Cabeza. In contrast, the Pastor was more onion-forward than expected, while the Asada was slightly tough and flavorless. My favorite condiments were the lime-y Salsa Verde and the spicy, off-menu chili oil. Lastly, the enormous horchata had barely any ice, packed strong cinnamon and rice flavors, and was not overwhelmingly sugary. Service was friendly and efficient, but they forgot my drink at first. Among 10 tacos and drinks, our bill ran about $35. While the best tacos were undeniably delicious, they were also quite small -- even 5 tacos only put a moderate dent in my appetite. The lady in front of me filled up about 15 baggies of salsa and pickled carrots like she was stocking up for the apocalypse--I waited nearly 10 minutes just to get to it! Minor chaos, but honestly, worth the wait. The only real downside was the heat inside--no air conditioning made it pretty uncomfortable. Still, the food made up for it. I came from a post on Instagram they had, claiming the best menudo around. I'm a big on menudo and was close by so I had to check it out. Ambiance: it's very small inside. Not much seating, but it looks like the intention is for you to sit outside as there is a lot of seating there. Not too inviting in my opinion. Service: this is where they lost stars to me. Everyone but me was asked for hominy in the menudo. Had I known that was an option I would've easily done it. I feel because I didn't speak Spanish they didn't bother asking. Food: menudo was good not great. I know they are trying to get people in but for me if you say you have the best, that's my expectation. Again, good not great. We first tried this place through Doordash, and I liked it so much that I came back the following week. It's a small spot with plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors. Despite some nearby construction, the noise level wasn't too overwhelming. I love the lengua and cabeza burritos. Oh, and the menudo - it really hits the spot! These are street size tacos but they definitely pack in the meat. Condiments are kept in a cart allowing you to choose what you like from radishes, spicy onions to salsas. Variety of beers are also on their menu along with canned or bottled sodas. Restaurant is small however, they also offer outside seating which has been nicely decorated with various plants.
