    Badlands BBQ

Badlands BBQ is a great place for BBQ lovers! It has a welcoming vibe the moment I walked in. It must be my lucky day as there was no line when we arrived. Just 10 minutes later, the line went all the way to the door. Being a messy BBQ eater, I really like the idea that Badlands has a roll of paper towels at each table next to its BBQ sauce tray. We ordered pastrami brisket meals as it is the featured meat on Wednesdays. Our orders arrived promptly. My reuben was tender and tasty, full of flavors. The table next to us ordered a rack of baby back ribs that looked really tempting. I tried the habanero BBQ sauce which I liked. I plan to come back to try other items on the menu. Yum!

I came here after I kept smelling bbq in the parking lot and looked around. This place was bustling inside with tables filled out, they do have outdoor seating. I decided to try the double trouble ($26) to get their brisket and baby back ribs along with sides of jalapeno bacon mac and cheese and a side of loaded mashed potatoes. I got an individual jalapeno cheddar link ($6) to try too. The cheddar link had a good snap and it was juicy, the jalapeno taste was noticeable but not spicy. The brisket was moist with a good amount of meat, I like moist than lean for brisket so it was falling apart easily. The sauces that they had on the tables were good. I liked the habanero bbq more and it was not too spicy. The ribs were falling apart from the bone. The sides were great. They do run out of meats so I usually try to go early. The staff is nice and the place is clean.

Finally made it to Badlands BBQ with the hubs and a couple of friends. We arrived in the middle of the lunch rush and the dining room was hoppin'! My friend was on table grabbing patrol while the rest of us placed our orders at the counter. There is plenty of inside seating with a couple of picnic tables set up outside as well. The inside of Badlands has the BBQ joint vibe with a good mix of sturdy, wooden booths with padded benches and free standing tables with metal chairs. Even with the lunch rush, ordering at the counter was a breeze and our food was brought out to our table pretty quickly. I chose the slider trio with one of each meat (pulled pork, pulled chicken, and brisket) with sweet potato fries and an extra side of the chipotle corn in a cup. We also ordered a pound of brisket, the turkey plate, and a brisket salad. Everyone's plates looked great and they all enjoyed their choices. My friend let me try some of her turkey and it was amazing! Very flavorful and juicy and something I'd want to order next time. My sliders were perfect. I enjoyed being able to sample all three meats, my favorite being the pulled chicken. They do come with BBQ sauce, but if you like your sliders extra saucy, there's extra BBQ sauce on the table. The serving of sweet potato fries was very generous and I ended up sharing a lot of it with the hubs. The chipotle corn cup was made up of corn kernels off of the cob mixed with spices and topped with feta. While it was flavorful, I would have preferred it to be a little saucier. Overall, we enjoyed our food and it's worth the drive to satisfy the craving for solid BBQ.

I have had the heavy desire to check this place out. Finally found myself available in the Norco area, took the opportunity.. Overall decently pleased with the service and meal.. The engagement by the employees was hands down 5 stars +. The entire staff couldn't be more friendly and accommodating to all patrons. The food choices were endless, so much on the menu to try. We got two plates of the two meat combo platters. One with brisket and pulled pork, the other with baby back ribs and dark meat BBQ chicken. Our sides consisted of fries, garlic mashed potatoes, baked beans, chipotle corn, and the included cornbread. In my order of favorites, the ribs came first as they were awesome! Perfect flavor, came right off the bone, quality choice. The pulled pork was tender and mixed well with their sweet BBQ sauce. The BBQ chicken was a safe and classic choice, no let down on flavor but not enough meat on the bones in my opinion. The brisket was tasty and also paired well with their sweet BBQ sauce (the habanero went well with it too). Sadly, it was super fatty and that took away from the portion size. Each of the sides complimented the main courses. I will say, one can never go wrong with baked beans. The corn bread was kind of dry and could a light layer of butter.. Self serve soft drinks/lemonade/water. Decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating.

Wow!! Fold test again and it didn't fall apart!!

Pulled up to Badlands BBQ like a brisket-seeking missile and wow... zero regrets, only hungry foodie energy!!!! Ordered the brisket plate with jalapeño mac and cheese and chipotle corn, and let me tell you, the mac came in swinging!!! It had kick!!! Creamy, cheesy, with just enough jalapeño heat to remind you it has personality!!!!! The chipotle corn was sweet, smoky, and dangerously scoopable!! Now the brisket... oh, the brisket!!! Vynikající!!! Smoky, juicy, and passed the sacred fold test like a champ.... bent without breaking, just like my willpower around good BBQ. It definitely knew exactly what it was doing!!!!!! Final verdict: everything slapped!!! I will most absolutely be back the next time I'm working in the area. Eager to try other items on the menu!! Yummmeeez!!!

The BBQ here is awesome and even though it is a little pricey you get a lot of food! We always order the Badlands sandwich and it has all the meats. It's super yummy. Even when they're busy the service is quick!

Since I was first introduced to this place, I've been coming back here almost on a normal because their meat is just good quality with quick service. Among the different meats they have there, I have not been able to get any of the ones they're always sold out of, but they're briskets pretty solid and by far I love just their chicken. Selection of barbecue sauce is limited but overall great quality meats. Among the sides, the ones I would aim for is the esquite or corn. This place also has a bar and a lot of seating so a great place to moderate size parties (6-8 people)

My in laws wanted to meet us here for lunch over the weekend. My lovely monster...ahem...sweet mother-in-laws friend said this place was good so we decided to all give it a shot and WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! SONG OF THE DAY to play along to this YELP REVIEW: Sweet Dreams by Beyoncé... You can be a sweet dream or a beautiful Badlands BBQ Either way I don't wanna wake up from you Sweet dream or a beautiful nightmare Badlands BBQ Somebody pinch me Your BBQ is too good to be true... CHIPOTLE CORN: 10/10 I love the portions of the 16 oz. It was enough for a part of 5. The flavor was nice and balanced. It wasn't too over bearing with cheese or mayo. I just thought it was a little on the wet side... BRISKET: 10/10 Was the STAR OF THE SHOW!! I finished 3 strips and took some home as well. WOW!! That must be their SIGNATURE DISH!!! FRENCH FRIES: Was really nice and CRISPY!!! I liked it more than the sweet potato fries GREEN APPLE COLESLAW: 8/10 It was a bit too WET which made the Cole slaw soggy. I'm comparing it to my favorite Cole slaw at Wood Ranch so maybe that wasn't fair but, if you like wet and soggy coleslaw then this is the ONE for you!! SERVICE: A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Everyone was so friendly and helpful. It was out first time so we didn't know what to order and they did not rush us at all. The cashier and staff were very accommodating and friendly ;) Very hometown comforting atmosphere and family friendly... ROCK ON BADLANDS BBQ!!! I need to tell my YELPIESSOCAL about this!!!

Mac n cheese, cornbread, potato salad, and their brisket.

I think I just found my new favorite BBQ spot! We ordered the jalapeño cheddar hot links as well as the brisket, mac n cheese, potato salad, macaroni salad, mashed potatoes and fries and everything was absolutely delicious. The brisket was tender and juicy while the hot links had just that right amount of kick. Out of all the sides, I'd say the potato salad and mac n cheese were our favorite. The combos also came with some cornbread which balanced everything out with that sweet taste. Overall it was an excellent choice . Great food, great service and clean. Highly recommend

This has to be the best barbecue place in the CITY OF NORCO. Many think that it's not in Norco because it's right on the edge it doesn't matter. The number one thing Badlands barbecue has is consistency and great guest service. They are always extremely polite, friendly, and ready to serve. They keep their prices competitive even in this tough economy and market with beef and pork prices going through the roof. The restaurant is separated into two different areas. One is just for quick dining and your takeout orders very inviting and the other side is more like a saloon. They have a number of outstanding beers on tap and you can get great table service. Now onto the food. The barbecue is very good. I usually get the triple threat so I can share some with my wife. My normal take is the brisket, baby back ribs, and the jalapeño cheddar sausage. My sides consist of the apple coleslaw and the brisket baked beans. Everything comes with a side of cornbread. My wife always gets the half barbecue chicken. I love the dark meat. She prefers the white. And she'll take a couple of the ribs and some brisket. From my plate. Every time we've been in the service is outstanding and the food is very good. I have been to one of the other barbecue places in the CITY OF NORCO and there is no comparison. Save your money save your time and come here. Some places think they stick Texas in their name, It will give them more credibility it doesn't. Crumb support a small business owner, who takes care of his customers and provides good food at a strong value.

brisket, ribs, cornbread, mac and cheese

The service was quick and efficient, with our food arriving fresh and hot. We ordered a feast of brisket, ribs, mac and cheese, and cornbread. The meat was absolutely phenomenal. Fall-off-the-bone tender and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Both the brisket and ribs were perfectly smoked with that beautiful pink smoke ring and excellent flavor. The mac and cheese was creamy and rich, complementing the smoky meats perfectly. The only item that didn't quite hit the mark for me personally was the cornbread. It was more of an old-fashioned style, a bit drier and less sweet than I typically prefer. That said, if you enjoy traditional, less sweet cornbread, you'll probably appreciate their authentic approach. Overall, Badlands BBQ offers an excellent barbecue experience with outstanding meat quality and prompt service. Highly recommended for any BBQ enthusiast!

The pastrami Rubin sandwich was the best of all we got then the beef brisket plate. The sandwich bread was crispy and soft and the pastrami was so tender.. the brisket was good but kind of a small portion. The food was good and the sauce was delicious. The potatoes also was good and the beans.

Good food, doesn't scratch the Texas BBQ itch as this is a Louisiana BBQ. The best value we've found was the sandwiches.

We will absolutely continue coming back, just unfortunately not as often as we used to. We were regular Thursday night customers because we absolutely loved Music Bingo. My husband, my two daughters, and I would come together as a family almost every Thursday. It became something we genuinely looked forward to each week. Thursdays used to be packed, sometimes so crowded that it was hard to find a seat. There was such a fun atmosphere, with different tables bantering with each other, laughing, competing, and getting into the music. We enjoyed it so much that we even brought prizes for the host to give away. It was more than just playing bingo; it was the whole experience and energy of the night. Unfortunately, since the new Music Bingo host took over, the experience has completely changed. We even tried talking to him about it, and he told us that as long as he is running Music Bingo, he will never use the app and will continue doing everything on paper. He uses the same card for the entire two-hour game, which means that even if you arrive late, you essentially have no chance of winning. That takes away a huge part of what made the game exciting and competitive. I do want to be fair and say that we know he also hosts trivia on Tuesdays, and we actually like his approach to trivia. His style seems to work well for that format. Unfortunately, that same approach just doesn't seem to vibe with Music Bingo. Music Bingo needs a different kind of energy, interaction, and flair, and sadly, that has been missing. The host has also been rude to us when we've tried to discuss our concerns, which has made the experience even less enjoyable. The difference in the Thursday night atmosphere is very noticeable. Thursdays used to be packed and full of energy, and now the place is often nearly empty. The fun atmosphere and camaraderie we used to look forward to are simply gone. We understand that he runs the game on his own and is entitled to run it how he wants. At the end of the day, though, the format and the overall vibe have changed enough that our family no longer wants to make Thursday nights a regular part of our week. That's especially disappointing because this was something all four of us genuinely enjoyed doing together. We are still giving The Brass Tap five stars because the restaurant itself, the food, and the rest of the staff have always been fantastic. We will definitely come back for those things. We just won't be coming back as often for Music Bingo. Hopefully, at some point, Music Bingo can become the fun, lively, interactive experience it used to be. We would love to have a reason to look forward to Thursday nights again.
