I went to Baer's Mattress Den based on other reviews and I am glad I did. Theresa was very knowledgeable, helpful, and a friendly person. She helped me narrow down my choices based on what I liked and disliked about past mattresses. She didn't try to get me to buy more than I needed and gave pros and cons of the mattresses, pillows, and frames. Theresa also discussed prices with me, which helped me get just what I wanted - a great setup and value for my money. The two men who delivered my mattress, pillow, and adjustable frame (maybe father and son??) were friendly and efficient. They removed my old mattress, boxspring, and frame for a small fee, which saved me from having to figure out how to dispose of it all. I am SO happy with my purchase, and so glad I went to Baer's! If I have a need for new mattresses in the future, I will definitely return to Baer's. I highly recommend them! read more

We went specifically for a Temperpedic mattress that we found at a boutique hotel. Baer's didn't carry that model but they special ordered it for us. (They might carry it now) The staff was helpful, no pressure and the mattress arrived on time. Now when we travel we can't wait to get back home to our own bed. Bought a bedroom set for my daughter and realized in the day of delivery we needed a box spring. It was literally 45 minutes from looking up Baer's to getting it delivered. They even grabbed the mattress and put that on for us. From the second we walked into the store, the Baer's team was bending over backward to help...and no pressure, either. Baer's Mattress Den has been our go-to for mattress purchase for 30 years. That's a shocking number since it means I'm getting really old. But, kidding aside, Baers delivers knowledgeable, low pressure sales assistance, great selection, and good pricing. I'm actually laying on one of their all memory foam mattresses as I type this review. One bit of advice: never buy a cheap mattress since you'll spend 1/3 of your life laying on it. I always appreciated the honesty and integrity of this family owned business. They never try to upsell you. In fact, when my children were small, Mr. Barr would tell me I don't need to spend a lot of money on a mattress since their weight would easily be supported in a less expensive mattress. Really appreciate how this store and the staff treated me: not giving me pushy sales tactics, explaining the difference between mattress styles, letting me test drive the various mattresses, and then on the delivery day they set up the new mattress and boxspring while taking the old ones out for just $20 more. The boxspring broke in the first week, but they quickly came out and replaced it the following weekend free of charge with no fuss, so it's not their fault. Mr. Baer was helpful and informative. Our new $3,000+ king size Simmons BeautyRest Black was delivered soon after purchase. The delivery folks were pleasant and accommodating. Customer service was good. My first night on it was the best sleep I had had in a year or so. That was six weeks ago. I was soon surprised that sitting on the edge caused it to sag greatly, more than the edge of the old worn-out BeautyRest that we should have replaced 5-10 years earlier. This mattress is getting close to as uncomfortable after six weeks as the old one! Simmons BeautyRest is a fine old name that is trading on the past glory, not their present work. Mr. Baer find another source! It was way too much money to spend for VERY short-term improvement. read more

I don't even know how to describe the awesome experience with Baers Mattress Den. I had been looking and looking for a new mattress and all the other stores I felt pushed to buy a mattress on the spot or I was gonna lose some kind of special deal. There was no pressure at all from Baers just knowledgeable staff that explained each mattress and let me settle and decide myself what I wanted to get. The delivery process gets 10 stars!!!! I will never buy a mattress from any other store. I bought 2 mattresses from Baer's, both with adjustable platform bases. Bought 1 Serta Innerspring and 1 Serta iComfort. The entire purchase was stress free and Baer's is great to deal with. Michael is knowledgeable about his mattresses and there was no pressure to buy. An all around pleasant experience. Our new beds are very comfortable. They hauled away our old beds and made sure the new beds were set up and the bases and remotes worked correctly. This business will absolutely not help you with any problems once you have signed on the dotted line. You cannot change your mind about anything. No returns. No exchanges. If you have a problem, you must deal with the mattress company that made the item. Other sellers in the area with work with you if you get something too hard or soft or something. Sleeping on a mattress for a week can be different than lying on a mattress in a show room. If you have made a mistake -----to bad. You are on your own. So beware of store policy. read more

I had a wonderful experience with them. Teresa helped me find a bed for my son. She wasn't pushy but was very informative. She showed me different styles and varieties of beds for me to choose from for my budget. My favorite part was that everything was included. For example, at a different mattress place nearby they charge for delivery ($80), frame ($40),and take away of old mattress ($30). So even though they may sucker you in there with their 'low' price, you need to think about adding approx $150 to the total price. No thanks.... Felt much better about buying from Baer's Mattress Den (a family-owned mattress store) than one of those warehouse stores. (Delivery of the mattress was on time - and a quick setup.) In the last 5 weeks I've bought 2 mattresses (queen and king), 1 queen headboard and a set of bed rails for a full size mattress for my guest room, from Baer's Mattress Den. We originally were price shopping at the chain mattress stores, which was a huge headache and worse than buying a used car. After trying to price compare we gave up. I searched on the Facebook group "The Real Housewives of Loudoun County" for a good mattress store, and several people recommended Baer's. Our first trip to Baer's we ended up buying our son a new queen mattress. We worked with the owner who was knowledgable, knew our budget, was honest as to which mattress he would buy for a teenager and NO pressure to buy. We found a set that my son liked and came in under budget on the mattress/box spring set enough that we bought a headboard as well. Delivery was scheduled for just a couple of days later and we were given a window of 5-7pm. Our order arrived at 4:15pm and the delivery guy (the owner's son) apologized and offered to come back at 5pm if 4:15pm didn't work! He and the two other delivery people were professional and polite. A couple of weeks later, we decided that the new king sized mattress and boxspring we had bought from Costco was the equivalent of sleeping on a brick. We went back to Baer's and again worked with the owner. To Costco's credit, they did take back the set we had bought from them, no questions asked, and refunded us the full amount. We had another easy, no pressure experience buying from Baer's. Delivery was a week later with a 5-7pm window, and our order arriving at 4pm. FYI- Delivery is free! We will need to purchase two more mattress sets in the years to come. We will absolutely go back to Baer's! read more
