We hired Carpet Decor to install new carpet on the top floor of our home and faux wood flooring in our basement. Both installations were done well and we were very happy with the results. Do not recommend. The constant price haggling with David is not worth it. We agreed to a price over the phone after I provided him the number of steps for a runner. When he visited the house, he said I didn't factor in the risers...which "doubles the price" apparently. After he came down on the price again I said be here tomorrow and I'll pay you half up front in cash. The next day he showed up but before his guy finished the job he asked for the remaining balance and said I owed more because I underpaid him the first half (in cash). I would not recommend this company to anyone for anything. They provided the worst customer experience. David tried to justify cheaper materials and quality of work saying he gave us a great deal. We hired this company to install carpeting on two levels of our home. Redo our master bathroom and install a large walk-in shower and tile the floors. LVP flooring was installed on the 3rd level. We were supposed to only have porcelain tile installed in our bathroom and half the job was completed with ceramic tile instead. The shower doors was installed backwards evident by the stickers on the doors. Lighting was done in the kitchen which needed an electrician to come out and correct after our lights stopped working. We had a leak from the master bathroom due to incorrect installation of the toilet not accounting for the new flooring as well as they did not install a new wax ring. This lead to the leak on the ceiling below needing to be fixed from being newly painted. He was extremely rude to my wife when contacted about the faulty work. The owner David asked for an opportunity to come and fix any issues which were granted and was not fixed across the board. They installed a shower basin smaller than agreed upon as well and lied saying no other side options are available. The carpeting is coming up in multiple places throughout our home and we've lived here less than 6 months. They made an absolute need of our home. Drank the bottles of waters out of our fridge which David was kind enough to replace. Then his workers drank the new case of water. With so many other options of companies to use, save yourself the headache and money from this company and their terrible business practices! read more

He was very helpful, bringing samples to my home when he came to measure, which very much helped me decide. I am updating my review because as much as I am/was happy with the work his people completed, my husband and I were not happy with how David conducted business with us. Once the project started and we signed the contract, he told us we had to pay him $500.00 more for supplies. I said I wanted to wait until we talked to our realtor and he went behind my back and had my husband sign a "New" contract without my knowledge. All of this being said, the workers did an outstanding job. However, My husband and I felt extremely taken advantage of with no recourse. All around shotty work. This guy was hired to PROFESSIONALLY paint my home, which was anything short of professional and required him his painters to return eight times. They didn't remove and partially painted over every plate in my home. They left paint drips down walls in every room. On my contract their were four line items. Not one was done properly or omitted altogether. They were weeks late in finishing the project. The only thing they did well was the carpet. If you're looking to hire them for anything else DON'T!
