The mattress installers were "unable" to remove the existing box spring, despite the fact that the box spring was installed at the same time that the old mattress was installed, with no issues by the installer of the original mattress/box spring. So, now we do not have a new bed and we are left with our old bed. Mattress Firm utterly failed to perform one of the most basic steps in replacing a mattress, i.e., removing the existing mattress. My family and I are big advocates for supporting local businesses rather than big box companies. However, we expect from all, big or small companies, respect and exceptional customer service. This is not what I experienced at this store. I went into the store looking for a sectional and possibly also a dining table. The salesperson was very attentive and willing to answer my questions. Before purchasing the sectional, I decided to check out other stores that same day to make sure I was getting a relatively good price and wasn't missing out on something else. I asked the salesperson if the price for the sectional was the best given I saw another couch very similar at another store for less. He told me to speak to the owner regarding the price. I told the owner that I saw a similar couch for less and he told me they weren't the same. Of course I knew that! I asked him what the difference was and he gave me a short response - the quality. Ok... that was a general response so I asked further, "what about the quality?" He answered, I don't know how to explain. After a few seconds, he said.. the fabric.. warranty. Alright so then he asked me "is this your first time buying a couch?" And I said, yes. He then looked at the salesperson and said, "you see". He then said, "how old are you?" I responded, 34. He then he said "you're researching like you're 17". I was dumbfounded. It was insulting as if age had anything to do with this. He was alluding to my ability to purchase furniture, lack there of. I walked out and will never return. He tried to say that I "looked 17" which was even worse given I am a grown woman and want to be treated as such. Age has nothing to do with shopping for furniture!!! If I didn't sound "informed".. take the time to educate me, your customer, as that extra step may take you a long way! The bed was not working out for me so I contacted them on several occasions letting them know what was going on. You have 120 days to return the bed. The thing they got me was on August 6. I decided I wanted to return the bed. I was waking up with back aches and the bed just wasn't working for me so I contacted them and told them that the bed was not working for me and they agreed that they would, come get the bed but I would have to pay $100 restocking fee and $100 delivery fee. I was not happy with this so they ended up saying OK. You just have to pay for the delivery. Then what shocked me was that when I purchased my bed, it came with a free bed I don't know the exact name, moves your head up so if you wanna look at TV or you can move down. They told me I had to keep that because that is not returnable so that's $299. They wanted to keep plus the other fees, which they did wait my thing was no one never, told me if I wanted to return the bed I would have to keep the head and move up and down and that cost 299. So the reason I am writing this review is I want you all to know that if you return your bed and they give you a free head post that goes up and down, you are responsible for paying for that head post. It is not returnable which they do not disclose that. Now you know so you will not be fooled by this. Like what are you gonna do with this in your house like, can you exercise with it now? Can you use it for a game table? No, can you use it for a table? No, there's nothing you really can do with it, but just know if they offer you a bed and a free headboard that goes up and down and you return that bed that headboard you will have to pay for. She helped me narrow down my choices based on what I liked and disliked about past mattresses. She didn't try to get me to buy more than I needed and gave pros and cons of the mattresses, pillows, and frames. Theresa also discussed prices with me, which helped me get just what I wanted - a great setup and value for my money. The two men who delivered my mattress, pillow, and adjustable frame (maybe father and son??) were friendly and efficient. They removed my old mattress, boxspring, and frame for a small fee, which saved me from having to figure out how to dispose of it all. I am SO happy with my purchase, and so glad I went to Baer's! If I have a need for new mattresses in the future, I will definitely return to Baer's. I highly recommend them!
