Combo #1 craw fish, shrimp head on
Missy M.

The service was not the best, multiple people touched my table at different times, my server took my order and I didn't see her until she picked up the tab to charge me. The food itself was ok. The seafood tasted like boiled water, and the corn was over cooked/mushy. I got the atomic flavor and it just tasted like oil, seasoning was missing majorly with the seafood. I also ordered it spicy, and I did not have any spice at all in my bag. I really like my seafood with spice heat, so I will have to get the highest level next time for any spice at all. The Cajun fries tasted like sugar was dumped in them, it was interesting to taste sugar on Cajun fries. The restaurant smelled like dirty dish water whenever I first walked in, and the floors were sticky. I'm hoping for a better result next time!

Bag o crab is a friendly restaurant with great atmosphere! The Cajun fries were my favorite. We got the combo #1 for 35$ that came with two pounds of either shrimp, crawfish, mussels, clams, or octopus. Sadly you can't get two of the same so we did shrimp and crawfish. The seasoning is good! Mild isn't exactly mild, think that hot Cheetos are more spicy. I wish you could add more than one flavor because Cajun and garlic would've been great. Service was friendly and accommodating. I personally think there's more flavor at crab bucket. Both the shrimp and crawfish are big and juicy. The corn was the best out of the sides; potatoes, sausage, and corn. Would bring big groups here!

The noodles are the item that will bring me back! They are really good and a very large serving. The shrimp heads on and sausage I'll go back for too. It's way better than the other place in town. Fast friendly service. TVs to watch your sports! Great for groups.

You see all those black spots you would think it's the wood right ?!! NO it's the fricken grease !

Look around next time you go especially above were the lights on the ceiling are hung ! Ew all them dust particles while we eat . Dude ... do better.

My Husband has been craving Calamari and Chips for almost 2 weeks now so we went to Monterey to get some! But all 6 restaurants we hit had either sold out for the evening and another was no take out on the weekend So we came back home to Salinas and remembered this place we haven't gone to yet. The wait was almost and he, but holy crapola the food was definitely worth it for us! Can't wait to go back!

A must try ! We arrived when they just opened, got seated right away. I'm assuming it gets busy quick. There was a good amount of people when doors opened. Yes a little robot pulls up to bring you your food but accompanied by staff. I saw a lot of complaints about that and I did not find anything off putting about that . Staff was so nice and always checked on us. Food was absolutely delicious ! Place is pretty big with lots of seating. I loved it and would return. Garlic noodles are a must if you love garlic.

I love Bag O' Crab dowwwwnnn! So good every time. Servers are always so kind and it's just a good vibe overall. When they tell you a wait time it's usually pretty accurate which I can respect. The only reason for 4/5 stars is the cleanliness. I do sometimes notice old food splatter on the walls/seats and the bathroom always smells pretty bad and could use some upkeep (at least when I've gone).

Unbagging our Bag O' King Crab Combo (1 lb. King Crab Legs, 1 lb. Shrimp, 2 corn, 2 potatoes, 4 sausage slices)

At Bag O' Crab, one can enjoy a wide range of seafood selections, including Dungeness, King, or Snow Crab, Lobster, Shrimp, Crawfish, and more. The seafoods are available either à la carte or as a combination, which includes corn cobbettes, whole potatoes, and sausage slices. Most of the seafoods are served in a boil-in-bag after one selects a seasoning (5 available) and the level of spiciness of one's preference. In addition, they offer appetizers, chicken wings, as well as a few fried & grilled selections. The staff are friendly and efficiently work together to provide great service and a pleasant dining experience. The dining area is well maintained, yet the restrooms could use a little attention. Reservations are suggested as wait times can vary from 30 to 60+ minutes.

They had that rich, garlicky, buttery goodness without being overwhelming. You can really tell they put care into their food. The rest of the meal was just as impressive, and the service was friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for a spot with authentic, flavorful Asian fusion cuisine, this is definitely one to check out. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend!

The staff were very friendly, and while the music was a bit loud and the decor is fairly minimal, everything was clean and well maintained. The food is made to order and clearly prepared with quality ingredients. The lumpia were excellent. I ordered them without the ranch seasoning because I find it very salty, and I'm not a fan of the accompanying dip for the same reason. Honestly, they're good enough on their own. The Cajun Parmesan wings were cooked perfectly, but I didn't get much Cajun flavor from them. I'd probably try a different wing flavor next time. The fries were great, and the ranch was even better. The Mongolian beef was another standout. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender, and flavorful. There were plenty of onions, which I loved. It was a little heavy on the sauce, but still very enjoyable. Prices are a bit higher than average, but the quality justifies the cost. It's a locally owned business that's definitely worth checking out and, in my opinion, much better than most restaurants in Salinas.

The restaurant has a great drink selection and a great menu. We were pleasantly surprised to learn they offer a Tuesday dinner special that includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert for only $32! This menu also had a special drink selection. I ordered the house salad, prawn risotto, and chocolate lava cake. The salad was very fresh with spring mix and butter lettuce, which I especially enjoy, and it was topped with a light vinaigrette style house dressing that was light and delicious. The prawn risotto was creamy, flavorful, and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. The chocolate lava cake was rich and very chocolatey, a bit too rich for my personal taste, but still enjoyable. It also came with vanilla gelato, which was delicious. As a table, we also ordered the tableside tiramisu, which was such a fun and unique experience. I am a tiramisu connoisseur, so anytime I see it on the menu, I ordered it. It is my favorite dessert. Although this was not my favorite one, I very much enjoyed the experience. I will mention the espresso needs a little more time to fully soak into the ladyfingers, but the presentation and experience alone made it worth trying. The ambiance was lovely with nice background music, and the service was attentive and welcoming. Everyone in our party truly enjoyed their meal, especially the birthday girl. Overall, Patria is a fantastic dinner spot in Salinas, and I would absolutely return and highly recommend it.

I'm glad to report that last night had some music in the bar, it was soft and sounded like Italian folk (Frank Sinatra would've been nice too) but it was perfectly fine because it broke up the atmosphere in a positive way. Calamari appetizer was great and my pork chop was too. Service was equally great as it was prompt and accompanied. I'll be back soon, so if you haven't tried Patria yet, you should.
