This is our second visit and just as happy as before. Different choices like the mussels

Definitely a great bite. Service was good and they were very nice. Aside from Togo orders, the dine in area was not busy but that allowed for a more direct experience. Food was fresh, hot, and tasty.

This local restaurant was an excellent choice! Please be patient if only one server, she's VERY good and will take care of you! Clam chowder, needed a little more seasoning, I try NOT to add salt but it just needed a dab and the cup & bowl were delicious! Pesto fettuccine & Cream fettuccine ( top with chicken!) had a duel & the cream won! They served with garlic bread, toasted perfectly. Fish & chip? WHAT THE? OMG the beer batter is perfect!!! The fish is local catch and SO FRESH! The tarter sauce is EXCELLENT! substitute garlic fries, you won't regret it. The house champagne was excellent. I also had jumbo shrimp & oysters on the 3way combo! Enough to share but you will want the fish to yourself! Don't forget dessert! The brownie with ice cream is delicious. The keylime pie texture was not to my preference but I brought it home to chill in fridge & that made it better! You can sit inside or outside if it's warm enough. They have one gender neutral bathroom ( out of seat covers & no paper towels or blower to dry hands) but it was clean! Please check this spot out!

Omg the absolute BEST clam chowder bread bowl I have ever had!!! If you are near the Monterey area, this is a definite MUST! I wish I had more time but we were on our way elsewhere so I just ordered this to go. Grateful they had the soup separate in a container then I was able to pour into the bread bowl. The bread bowl was brushed with garlic and butter omg so delicious! This is my new favorite!

The Mac and cheese seems to be box Mac and cheese and the bread bowl was much smaller than the pictures shown. I ordered online through DoorDash.

The menu was full of interesting speciality items. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Waitress was very sweet and accommodating. Awesome experience

Not bad, but there are better options. Food & service were just maybe OK. Nothing to go out of your way for.

It's got a cozy, old-school diner vibe inside--super clean, relaxed, and completely free of any touristy gimmickiness. The clam chowder served in a sourdough bread bowl is definitely the main draw. It comes out filled straight to the brim, thick and creamy without feeling uncomfortably heavy, and packed with tons of clam flavor. Plus, getting those toasted garlic cheese bread tops on the side to dip into the soup is a great touch. Beyond the chowder, their fish tacos are surprisingly good. The fish is fried golden and crispy, topped with fresh pico, cabbage, and huge slabs of avocado on warm corn tortillas. If you want something heavier, the tuna melt on marble rye gets nice and crispy with plenty of melted cheese, and the side salads are pretty fresh too. Service is friendly and down-to-earth. The dining room is on the smaller side so it can get crowded during peak lunch hours, but it's a great, reliable neighborhood joint if you're in the Monterey/PG area.

If it's called a chowder house, they should have much better clam chowder!
