We went in with the high hopes yesterday of finding a good bagel bakery and expected Stuff a Bagel…read moreto excel based on the reviews. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We selected sesame, salt, jalapeno cheese and plain flavors We've had bagels from East Coast (New York) to West Coast (LA) and multiple places in between that came very close to the NY style or just as satisfying in their own unique way. None of the bagels purchased yesterday came close to a New York bagel as advertised in their signage, or close to any of the others we've experienced. ALL we're extremely tough, not only to tear but also to chew, either untoasted or toasted. The dough was clearly overworked. In addition, the SALT bagel tasted of garlic. Yes GARLIC! It had to be from something in the making as the aftertaste lingered for nearly half an hour, even after another cup of coffee and a cranberry scone baked by my wife that I ate to get the garlic taste out of my mouth. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day, but a quality food purveyor tastes what they're offering and won't serve anything substandard. Clearly they were more concerned about selling product, than showcasing their best.

My bagel sandwich was packed with flavor. Everything was fresh, and the quality really stood out. The service was friendly and efficient which made the experience even better. If you are in the area and missing a true bagel experience, this place is a must. I left full, happy, and planning to come back.

When it first opened, they gave slices of pork roll which is how it is served. I literally lived in the land and origin of this meat, it was everywhere in NJ, was a local staple. Here's where the loss of 2 stars come from; recent visits, they are now giving 1 big chunk/slice of PR?! It's not how it's done! Bring back the proper thin slices! During rush hours, they are Woefully under staffed. Most every time I go, I'm greeted by the cook/cashier/bagel tender (all one person). Maybe employees are hard to find, not busy enough to support 2 or 3 people? All negatives being said, it's a good place with tasty bagels that definitely compare to NY area bagels. It's close to my house, easy access off Alico Road. Fix the couple detractors and I'll raise my rating!

It has been many years since we went there The service was excellent and we ordered the frittatas, Dave had the Sombrero Frittata with potato salad and the sour dough bread. I had the Nordic Smoked Salmon Frittata with potato salad and sour dough bread too. Both frittatas were cooked perfectly with veggies and herbs. I had black coffee too. It was one of the nicest breakfasts that we had in a long time. The price was quite high $56 with a tip. The quality and the service were worth it!

I used to come to this restaurant years ago and would rave about the food, so this experience was really disappointing. I do want to say the service was very good, our waitress was very sweet and attentive, and I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the service. However, both my meal and my husband's meal were awful, especially for the price we paid. The quality just was not worth it. Maybe it was just the two meals we ordered, I'm not sure, but if this had been my first time visiting, I would never return. I much prefer writing positive reviews over negative ones, but I felt people should know about our experience. Sadly, after this visit, we will not be coming back.
