During rush hours, they are Woefully under staffed. Most every time I go, I'm greeted by the cook/cashier/bagel tender (all one person). Maybe employees are hard to find, not busy enough to support 2 or 3 people? All negatives being said, it's a good place with tasty bagels that definitely compare to NY area bagels. There were a ton of people waiting for their food, so we figured we should give it a try. We ordered their breakfast egg, ham and bacon sandwich. While we were watching them create sandwiches, we could smell all of the different items they were making. When we first bit into our oddly shaped sandwich, our senses lit up. This was likely the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. The flavors from the dough were incredible. The taste of the eggs and meats were perfectly balanced. When you put it all together, my wife and I were ready for a cage match to see who got the next bite. So good. A word of caution. They make everything fresh to order, so patience is required, but the wait is worth the 5-8 minutes. We are going back next weekend and I hope Firebread is there. We were greeted by Liz and then she explained their donuts are made with a vanilla cake type base. Then it's all made to order. The kids wanted chocolate donuts and they were soooo good and hot! One said he wished he could eat them every day and the other said the place was ten stars. So kid approved!! And these little dudes are picky. Liz made my friend and I macchiatos and made one kiddo hot chocolate and even checked on us to make sure it tasted ok. This was such a warm and welcoming experience! And of course, delicious too! She even told us the owner also owned one in Miramar, she really seemed to take pride in the owner and the shop. Thank you for such a great experience!
