Bacon egg cheese on a poppy not toasted
Dana M.

Popped in while traveling because I am always looking for a good bagel.... The visual of the bagels is good- nice size and shine. I ordered bacon l, egg and cheese on a poppy - not toasted. Again the visual was great - fried eggs are a plus. I poked the bagel and it felt dense and I was looking forward to that first bite. Bagel - 7, very airy inside and smooshed flat as a pancake as soon as I picked it up. Everything inside - cold! The egg was rubbery, no melting cheese, the bacon was stiff. Disappointed.

Friends of ours who had visited before insisted we had to try this locally-owned, NY style bagel shop and bakery. They gave the breakfast here a glowing review, so we came in with some level of expectation. Overall, we were satisfied. The food was quite fairly priced; my bagel sandwich was only $6.50 and plenty filling. My husband and I both thought there could have been a little more flavour to our sandwiches, but they were still tasty. We ate as a group inside the shop, and everyone was uncomfortably warm by the end of our meal, as it was very hot inside the shop-- not terribly surprising since it's a small spot, and the kitchen area frying up food is right there, but it's unusual to walk outside in Florida in September and find it refreshing! We will definitely be back at some point, though. I'd like to try more of their menu out.

Tried the Jersey Turnpike. It was ok. I prefer their BLT or BEC. Service is always fast and friendly!!

Turkey and cheese melt -drier than the Sahara Desert and flavorless

Ugh. The driest thing I've ever tried to eat. Absolutely horrendous. Turkey and cheese melt. Former New Yorker and these bagels are just over boiled garbage. Macaroni salad is from a giant pail that's delivered by a food service. Don't waste your time on a $12 bagel "sandwich". Super nice people who work there though!

We have lived in Cape Coral for over four years and we've heard nothing but good things about this place. I finally got around to try it and I can't believe that I've been missing out all these years. It's a super cute take out with very friendly service! I got the asiago cheese bagel with cream cheese on it which I would recommend. The cream cheese was whipped and was absolutely amazing and they don't skimp on it either!! I hear that the everything bagel with cheese and egg is supposed to be great as well. That will be my next venture because I will definitely be back!

I have been here many times and it never disappoints! The food is always cooked to order and hot, and the service is pretty fast for always having a line out the door. It feels like you're in a New York bagel shop and the staff are on top of it in there. It's a smaller location, but they filter people in and out quick which is nice. My only tip is - make sure to ask for your bagel toasted if you want it that way! They don't ask, you have to tell yourself. I feel like I'm there a few times a month at least - so good!

We selected sesame, salt, jalapeno cheese and plain flavors We've had bagels from East Coast (New York) to West Coast (LA) and multiple places in between that came very close to the NY style or just as satisfying in their own unique way. None of the bagels purchased yesterday came close to a New York bagel as advertised in their signage, or close to any of the others we've experienced. ALL we're extremely tough, not only to tear but also to chew, either untoasted or toasted. The dough was clearly overworked. In addition, the SALT bagel tasted of garlic. Yes GARLIC! It had to be from something in the making as the aftertaste lingered for nearly half an hour, even after another cup of coffee and a cranberry scone baked by my wife that I ate to get the garlic taste out of my mouth. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day, but a quality food purveyor tastes what they're offering and won't serve anything substandard. Clearly they were more concerned about selling product, than showcasing their best.

My bagel sandwich was packed with flavor. Everything was fresh, and the quality really stood out. The service was friendly and efficient which made the experience even better. If you are in the area and missing a true bagel experience, this place is a must. I left full, happy, and planning to come back.

Then I enter to a very dim lit restaurant. It was around 11 o'clock during the day and it didn't appear that all the lights are on, but there were people sitting at a couple of tables. So I walked up to the counter and look at the menu. I'm not sure if I order at the counter if I go sit at the table and get an order so I'm standing there while two people are talking. They clearly see me, but they were involved in a conversation so I patiently waited. Then I was told to go sit at a table and they will come take my order in which they did. I ordered a side of biscuits and gravy. It was very good and it came out really quickly. It was like having breakfast at candlelight without the candles because the place was not lit very well at all. I was able to find something to read and the more I read it the more I was put off. This double-sided laminated sheet sitting on each, and every table of this diner was telling us as customers how we should act and how we should treat them. I posted a photo of both sides of the sheets of instructions on their expectation! My server was great the gratuity express that as it exceeded 25%. They should have no reason to complain about me. Note to the owner: please use your lighting or invest in more. Please make the atmosphere more cheerful and welcoming. It does not stand up to the quality of food and service that your staff provides.
