My friend and I decided to do a trip for two days in the area and the kids wanted donuts, so I had suggested here. I'm so glad I did! We were greeted by Liz and then she explained their donuts are made with a vanilla cake type base. Then it's all made to order. The kids wanted chocolate donuts and they were soooo good and hot! One said he wished he could eat them every day and the other said the place was ten stars. So kid approved!! And these little dudes are picky. Liz made my friend and I macchiatos and made one kiddo hot chocolate and even checked on us to make sure it tasted ok. This was such a warm and welcoming experience! And of course, delicious too! I will say it was a bit overwhelming for the first time. The menu was really high up and I had a hard time reading it. They had menus on the counter which made it easier. I wish the pricing was placed on the counter as well so that I didn't have to look up and down so much. The atmosphere is comfortable and the decor is fun! The donuts themselves are addicting and flavorful. I especially loved the maple bacon donut! Wonderfully salty and sweet! The staff were nice and patient. Duck Donuts makes your donuts to order, and you can even watch each one being made. There's nothing like a freshly made warm donut, and these lived up to the hype! I think they're definitely more of a dessert option than a breakfast donut, however with the option to make your own donut with any combination of their coatings, toppings, and drizzles, you can really have it your way. We ordered the peanut butter & jelly, cookies & cream, minty wonderland, and thin mints crunch donuts. The donuts were sweet and decadent, and a delicious treat. I also tried their iced peppermint mocha, which is a great option for chocolate lovers. Everyone working there was very friendly, and even helped me swap out the traditional whole milk in the coffee for almond milk. Overall, we enjoyed Duck Donuts' warm treats and their cute duck theme. Cake donuts are my favorite type of donut, so I was excited to find solely cake donuts here. I would love to visit later in the day to try their great looking milkshakes. Duck donuts are all cake donuts, they're dropped right when you order so they're fresh and hot always! We got a mix of their seasonal flavors and they're classic flavors! My favorite was the pumpkin coffee cake donut and the maple bacon! When I think of cake donuts, I usually expect they'll be thick, but these are light and fluffy! We got a caramel macchiato and a breakfast sandwich on a bagel and those were fantastic as well. The staff was welcoming, there was no wait and there was plenty of seating. The shark attack was really cute made to look a shark in the ocean near a beach if graham cracker dust. The blueberry streusel was very inviting as well. Both were so very delicious. So I want to make sure to put this into perspective. We had heard of Ducks being good donuts so decided to visit location and splurge. Our experience...we entered to silence. Not a smile the entire visit. Our pre-determined idea was a bit different then realty. They can't be blamed for that. We anticipated going in and seeing donuts, making our selections, and having engaged service. Instead we got no engagement, and pick your donut from a countertop sign. We told the register operator we were new but he cared less actually. So what I am describing was a very stark, unwelcoming experience. We bought 2 donuts each, a soda and coffee. Pricing was fine considering what everything cost now a days. The donuts were fine, nothing overwhelming. They were fresh and warm. Our visits to previous donut shops which is not extensive offered equally good or better donuts. In the future, I would call and buy some for a treat to workplace or something but would not re-visit for a dine in experience. The team here at the moment has not enthusiasm. We were only patrons and expect perhaps this location may not make it long term due to a uninviting atmosphere. Candidly, DD which we rarely go to offers a better atmosphere option. The branding efforts also were non evident and point of sale very poor. Well lesson number one when it comes to Duck Donuts if you're in a hurry you need to plan accordingly as they make the donuts fresh right in front of your eyes. You can customize your donuts or they have menu items called the fans favorite. I chose to use the fan favorite menu. I got the Bacon in the Sun and the Bacon Maple. The donuts are so good as they're warm and not too sweet with the toppings. They also have seasonal menu items so there's always something new to try. read more

First time going to Duck Donuts and boy it did not disappoint!! Going in, we were greeted by a few of the ladies. We went to the counter and I was happy they had named donuts with what was on it so I didn't take too much time in line. We ended up getting a maple bacon, s'mores, chocolate peanut butter and a chocolate powdered sugar one! You can watch the whole process from start to finish. Once they are done, they call you up and you can see how it all is before they box it up. Box is hot, the smell is priceless I just want to bottle it up. The only reason why I'm giving this a 3 star is because I waited about 10-15 minutes for someone to take my order. I was the only customer in the shop and there were no long lines so I'm not sure why it took so long for someone to leave the back to help me. I went to the side and had to flag someone down to let them know I was here. By then two employees came out and proceeded to take my order. I actually like these donuts. Each donut is made fresh and hot! Their style of donut is more of a cake style, so if you like that then you're good hands. I can never complain about the taste or price but the waiting was a little frustrating since I had to wave at the person to help me. Maybe the owner should install some type of door chime so it notifies the team that someone has walked in. I know they could also be busy in the back cleaning or doing any other tasks throughout the day. So maybe this could help? Just throwing out options just in case this happens again to someone else. I must say we had a concerning experience while at this particular location. The (presumed) manager shouted the day's sales figures across the restaurant and noted to her staff about it being less than last year's. There were probably 6-8 customers in the place, so it was pretty uncomfortable. The a manger seemed aggressive with her own staff, which made the staff a bit unpleasant. This location has failed under new ownership. My suggestion would be to not come here during peak hours. Today, my wife and I came and there were 3 employees and about 30 customers. Long lines, long wait times. I attached a pic that shows nobody making donuts and nobody at the cash register. This was at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 22. The donut maker abandoned her station for at least 10 minutes. Chaos. People left without getting their order because it took so long. My wife and I asked for a a refund and we left. No apologies whatsoever. It's understaffed and it appears the staff are not trained to handle the crash on Saturday and Sunday. We also purchased a Groupon. Waited in line, make our order, and the cashier says "we can't honor that". Why? We bought it a month ago and it has not expired. "The new owner says we are not honoring those, call Groupon." Seems unprofessional to me, and it would have been nice to get an apology or a free coffee - whatever. By the way, you can still purchase the Groupon for this location. It's worthless, but this store has not taken it down. Sad. read more

Disappointed on my first visit. Ordered two donuts and a hot coffee to tide me over on a rush hour drive to Naples. After the order was taken and I was handed the coffee, I was told they did not have any hot lids. They gave me a cold lid, but it didn't fit properly. I asked for a cup that fit the cold lid and was told they had none. The worker gave me a taller cup. She tried her best, but I really wish the lid shortage was mentioned before the order was rung up so I could have chosen something else. Unless you have three or four hands, it's very hard to make a 40 mile drive holding a hot beverage that you can't set in a drink holder, especially with hot donuts that fall apart while dripping toppings all over the place. read more
