    Panini and popcorn
    Leigh M.

I visited Tucker and Co for the first time. It is a local bakery and coffee co in a small town. It is a quiet shop that plays the best music! The coffee options were delicious. They offer a variety of locally owned and sourced products for purchase, such as loaves of bread, coffee, honey, and cheesecake. The workers were very friendly and the service was quick. I stayed through lunch and ordered a delicious panini. The only downside was the price. Close to $18 for a sandwich and popcorn. There is an understanding that gratuity is built into the prices. I'm left happy knowing they source locally and bake in house. Definitely want to come back again for a baked good and coffee!

Yummy breakfast sandwich! (Egg, bacon, spinach) Also, how sweet is the message on my juice?!

My absolute favorite spot in Dillsburg. Heidi is so sweet! It's especially good for hanging out and having a calm breakfast or lunch. When in town, I'm always sure to stock up on whatever homemade baked good looks the best, plus Little Amps coffee, sourdough, honey, yogurt, produce, Honey Mamas cocoa truffle bars, etc.! Love that most everything is refined sugar free!!!

I stopped in here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. The cafe feels cozy and the food and drinks were pretty good. I really enjoyed the baked oat meal. I thought the chai was slightly weak for my taste but still good overall.

The baked oatmeal was delicious, my only complaint was that it was cold when I thought it was going to be warm.

Some people wake up early to go to the gym. Some people wake up early to be productive members of…read moresociety. I set an alarm for National Ice Cream For Breakfast Day. When Candy Mountain Creamery announced they'd be opening at 7am for build-your-own waffle ice cream sundaes, I felt personally called to action. Because if you're not celebrating extremely niche food holidays with reckless enthusiasm, what are you even doing? Also working in my favor: I had recently signed up for the Cumberland Valley Coffee & Chocolate Trail, and realized Candy Mountain Creamery was a participating stop. Two birds. One waffle-shaped destiny. Alarm set for 5:45am on a Saturday. Commitment level: alarming. At 7:52am, with temperatures hovering around 15° and wind chills that felt emotionally aggressive, I walked into the shop smiling like a person who makes excellent life decisions. Parking was easy thanks to their strip mall location -- always a win when you're battling winter just to eat dessert for breakfast. I fully expected chaos. Lines. Fellow sugar enthusiasts wrapped in blankets waiting for their moment. Instead? I was the only one there. The universe clearly said, "This is your main character moment." The staff were warm, friendly, and somehow just as excited about ice cream as I was. They told me to pick three flavors and they'd take it from there. My pre-caffeine brain selected: Cherry Cordial, Banana Nut Bread, and Maple -- which in hindsight sounds like the ice cream equivalent of chaotic good energy. While they prepared my masterpiece, I completed my Coffee & Chocolate Trail check-in and used a coupon for a free medium latte, because nothing pairs with ice cream breakfast like financial efficiency. Moments later, they handed me a golden waffle piled high with three enormous scoops and pointed me toward the toppings bar AND a roaring gas fireplace. I nearly ascended. The toppings bar had everything -- Reese's Pieces, whipped cream, strawberry topping, caramel, peanuts -- and I exercised exactly zero restraint. Reese's Pieces? Yes. Peanut butter drizzle? Obviously. Whipped cream? Don't insult me. Then I settled into a cozy chair by the fireplace and proceeded to absolutely demolish this breakfast like a person with no regrets and excellent priorities. The ice cream itself was fantastic -- creamy, flavorful, and distinct enough that each scoop held its own despite my slightly unhinged flavor combo. The latte was piping hot and perfect for balancing out the sugar-fueled chaos. Honestly, aside from the waffle sundae itself, the fireplace deserves its own Yelp listing. I expected to be freezing while eating ice cream before sunrise -- instead I was warm, cozy, and deeply at peace with my life choices. A few other brave souls eventually wandered in, which reassured me that I am not the only person willing to eat ice cream at breakfast in sub-freezing temperatures. Huge thanks to Candy Mountain Creamery for being one of the only local spots open early enough to support my commitment to food-based holidays, for having incredibly friendly staff, a fantastic latte, and a warm space that turned a cold winter morning into something genuinely memorable!

The café has a warm, inviting atmosphere with beautiful local artwork that creates a relaxing dining experience. The breakfast sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The frittata was hearty, satisfying, and generously portioned. While it was just a little heavier on the pepper than I personally prefer, it was still very enjoyable. The highlight of our visit was the gluten-free, vegan strawberry matcha cinnamon roll. It was incredibly moist, delicious, and packed with flavor--one of the best gluten-free pastries we've had. It's refreshing to find a café that offers healthy options without sacrificing taste. If you're traveling through central Pennsylvania or simply live in the area, this is a wonderful alternative to the chain restaurants that dominate the highways. Whether you're looking for gluten-free, vegan, or just fresh, wholesome food, Down to Earth Café delivers. We highly recommend this café and will definitely make it a stop on future trips through the area.

I've walked and driven past it many times but had somehow never made it inside. Since Denim was also participating in the 2026 Cumberland Valley Coffee & Chocolate Trail, it felt like the perfect excuse to check it out and grab a quick late-afternoon pick-me-up. I walked in around 4pm and found a handful of people inside -- some chatting quietly, others working on laptops. The space was clean, calm, and welcoming, with soft music playing overhead. The woman at the counter was an absolute sunbeam on an otherwise dreary afternoon, greeting me warmly and happily taking my order. I went with an iced coffee with sugar-free vanilla syrup (extra sweet, please!) and oat milk. Total came to $5.25. While she prepared my drink, I took a moment to look around and realized what a great view Denim offers from their bar seating area. Full glass windows with stools looking out over the square in Carlisle make it a fantastic people-watching spot. That afternoon, the Farmers Market was set up across the square, and it was fun watching people dash between stands while dodging raindrops to grab their weekly goodies. It struck me as a perfect place to meet a friend, spend a few hours working on a laptop, or just decompress with a coffee and watch the world go by. Denim also had a small sweet treat case with snacks that would pair nicely with coffee. I stuck with just the drink this time, but everything looked tempting enough that I'd definitely consider adding a pastry next visit. A few minutes later my name was called and my drink was waiting at the end of the counter. One interesting touch: they placed the container of oat milk beside my coffee so I could add exactly as much as I wanted. It's a small detail, but not something you see at many coffee shops, and I appreciated the flexibility. The iced coffee itself was excellent. Unlike some places where iced coffee tastes like watered-down brown liquid, Denim's actually tasted like coffee -- strong, smooth, and delivering a solid caffeine boost. Overall: great service, really good coffee, reasonable prices, and a cozy spot right in the heart of town. The only real challenge is parking since it's so close to the square. Street parking is available nearby, but depending on the time of day you may need to circle a bit. All in all, a great little coffee stop and I'm glad I finally walked through the door.
