This place is so good I had to revisit on the way home. The menu is pretty breakfasty but in an awesome way. Today I had the lunch special - turkey club sandwich on multi-grain with pea and salty pork soup. I finished the meal with a strawberry cheesecake that was delicious! My server, Jess, was incredibly sweet and attentive. Wish I could take her home with me!

Ordered crispy bacon, over-easy eggs, and white toast. Eggs were overcooked, toast was burnt, and bacon was undercooked. Overly expensive and crappy food.

Let's start off by saying the inside is so charming and inviting that it makes you want to stay. I grabbed breakfast from there this morning and it certainly was a hungry man's meal. I would return without reservation to try other stuff. The lady that took my order was incredibly kind and helped me navigate the menu. Can't go wrong here.

Excellent service and food...had breakfast here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The baked beans are to die for! You won't leave hungry, that's for sure!

Peanut butter in a burger. Meh.

A nice, big breakfast, but somewhat expensive. The restaurant is quite cozy, with wooden booths and benches. Very friendly service.

Food is decent.. breakfast meats are deep fried, ugh.. Prices are outrageous. A $20 breakfast should be all you can eat.

Slow night and I'm sure the hustle and bustle of a weekend evening would be worth the visit. This was my first visit to this location and it was a bit confusing. The hostess was not at the front when we arrived. So we waited for her to return. Once we checked in she told us to go up stairs and we'd be greeted by another hostess. I asked if we should use the elevator, to which she replied "ya, that's what elevators are for". Well thanks for the clarification, I didn't know that the stairs weren't an option. Once we arrived on the upper floor we stood there like idiots and had to walk around to find someone to seat us. Not a great start. Food service was pretty good. Our server was friendly and attentive, but lacked that polished service and look that The Keg typically offers. She seemed rushed and perhaps lacking support and communication from her team. I think had there been appropriate support staff, she'd likely have been great. Where The Keg fell short this visit was the mains. My Blackened Chicken was dry, luckily the hot honey helped elevate the flavour. The mashed potatoes were par, and the green beans were sad... Zero seasoning. I brought this up with the server and she did offer to replace them, but they should have never been plated in the first place. The Prime Rib was good, but the crispy onions were limp. Crème Brûlée was perfect. Drinks were great. Certainly room for improvement. But not quite typical Keg caliber. Nothing awful happened so a solid 4 stars.

The service quality was extremely poor, and the staff training was insufficient, which severely…read moreimpacted my dining experience. I felt discriminated against. Firstly, after we were seated, no staff came to serve us. We had to wait a long time before someone finally arrived. Secondly, we were not provided with pre-meal bread and had to ask for it ourselves. Thirdly, after confirming our order with the server, two dishes were served incorrectly. My order of tuna tartare and soup was replaced with a salad and toast. I believe this was a deliberate act rather than a simple mistake! Therefore, I am very dissatisfied with this dining experience.

I had my eye on the PB&J burger that I had seen on Yelp, as peanut butter is my favorite thing ever! This burger did not disappoint. While the combo sounds strange, the flavors were well-balanced with the brie cheese, caramelized onions and bacon. The meat was cooked to a perfect medium and the hamburger bun was soft. I chose the kettle chips for my side, and they tasted house made. Very delicious! The only thing I didn't like about this burger was the price tag = $22. Hubby had the seafood chowder for $17 and it was enough for a full meal. He said the chowder was very flavorful and full of seafood. He was in heaven! We both ordered a Quidi Vidi 1892 amber ale on draft. They only had 7 beers on tap and I wished that they had a medium or dark beer, but this area doesn't seem to be big on that. They do have Guinness in a can, if that's your thing. Service was friendly and the food came out relatively fast. The booths were comfy and the pub reminded me of a cozy neighborhood bar. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

Quality of the food served was excellent and expected for the price. The atmosphere was quite nice, was apparent that a lot of thought went into the atmosphere detail. For a sit-down evening dining experience it was perfect. This is not the kind of place you go for a fast dining experience, but for an enjoyable "evening out". With appetizers, soup, and main courses the total time in dining was approximately 3 hours. Perfectly reasonable in my estimation for this kind of establishment. The service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. Our server was also quite accommodating. There were so many great looking appetizers that we each wanted to try 2 different ones, and they accommodated by allowing half orders. I'd also inquired if the lobster could be shelled and topped onto the Ribeye steak, this was also no problem. Our 2 favorite appetizers were the stir fried squid (I've tried squid done in many ways, this was a very unique and wonderful flavor!), and the Hot & Sticky Mango Shrimp. The Broiled Goat cheese was also VERY good. The blackened beef had a really unique and delicious flavor, but if i was to be very picky was a bit tough textured. Following appetizers, we had a spicy crab chowder (soup), and my companion had the Warm Spinach Salad. The Spicy crab chowder was probably the only thing that came close to a disappointment, the crab was overcooked and grainy, but the flavor was still quite good. The Salad was the hands down winner. I'd never heard of a Spinach salad that included sauteed chicken livers, but it was VERY good (I'd place it on my highly recommended menu items). Main course I had the 16oz Ribeye, med rare with a Fresh steamed lobster, de-shelled on top. Great cut, great flavor, and perfectly prepared. Really appreciated that they didn't over-season the way some steak houses tend to do.. to the point where you lose the flavor of the steak, but enough to really compliment the steaks flavor. My dining companion had the 16 oz ribeye, with the cognac peppercorn sauce. The steak was equally well prepared, and the sauce was a great compliment to the steak. If i was also to be really picky, the drink menu is in the process of being revamped, and I had to go through several selections before I found one they still had available.. but this is REALLY nitpicking to be completely objective. Will definitely be added to a regular and special occasion list of the good restaurants in town.
