If you've ever been to New York City and eaten the bagels, you know there is nothing quite like it. For some reason, they just taste amazing. They do say it is all in the water and if that is true, I hope it isn't the Hudson River. Besides all of that, it is something I truly miss when it comes to my seasoned palette... until now. Thanks to Bagel Joes, I now get my delicious fix of New York City style bagels the way I prefer them: in bagel sandwiches. Located in the shopping strip located at the northwest corner of the Wickham Rd. and Lake Washington Rd. intersection, Bagel Joes is a small place located right next to Beef O'Brady's. They are considered part of the breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurants starting to gain popularity here in America. Ergo, they only stay open until just after lunch. So if you are someone who wakes up late working for graveyard shifts, sorry you won't get a taste of these delicious bagels until after your shift though by the time they open, you'll probably be sleeping. Anyways, there really isn't much to say about the interior. It is a basic bagel shop with display cases, simple tables, and the like. I do suggest turning your attention to their chalkboard because it displays their daily and/or weekly specials. I haven't eaten any of the specials because I always get one of two menu items here: the breakfast bagel or the lox bagel. The breakfast bagel is amazing and for the price you get it in, it is worth it. I suggest using either a sun-dried tomato bagel or a cheese bagel. The lox bagel is great too, but the line is drawn here. The Sun Shoppe in Melbourne has a lox bagel and it is just as good at a cheaper price. As for bagels on their own though (with cream cheese), you can't beat this place (so far). Ultimately, if you want your fix on some of the best bagels around these parts, definitely check it out. However, if taking account all the details such as price and flavor for a breakfast to lunch eatery, it is up there in suggestion, but it is not first. Unless you want bagels specifically, the top breakfast-to-lunch eatery around these parts is Oh Biscuit. read more

WOW! New to the area and thought I'd try Bagel Joe's. This place is EPIC! The ambience is classic NY deli, and the decor is entertaining to look at while you wait for your food. Despite being super busy (always a good sign!), these folks clearly bring their "A" game, because I only had to wait about 5 min. for my food. AND THE FOOD OMG! I ordered 2 of The Triple Lindy sammiches (for my husband & I). That was the freshest, most stacked breakfast sammiches we've ever eaten! The ingredients are high quality (Boar's Head FTW!) and it was so expertly put together that it didn't fall apart during consumption. The staff is super friendly and clearly great at what they do! 5 STARS and TY for an incredibly satisfying meal! We will definitely be back!! One morning, i ran out of coffee, so i googled "bagels near me" & lo & behold, Bagel Joe popped up as the closest one. It's only a mile away, so I went. The first thing I noticed was all the colorful artwork on the walls. I loved that. I ordered a bacon, egg & cheese on a sesame bagel. I asked if they had hazelnut coffee, my favorite. They did! The owner told me they've been in business for over 30 years. How did I not find this hidden gem sooner? I got myself a coffee & sat down. It was sooo good! Then the owner brought over my BEC bagel & also gave me a complimentary Chambord raspberry filled cookie. I usually can only eat 1/2 a BEC but it was so delicious that I ate the whole thing! I'm glad I went at 9:30, because the owner told me that it's usually so packed there is a line out the door. I found my new favorite bagel place & and it's just a stones' throw from home! 5 stars for food, service & ambiance. What a cute and quaint bagel establishment. We we're visiting my brother and sister in law in Melborne and they recommended this place for a quick breakfast. It's in a plaza so there is alot of parking available and it just happens to be next to their neighborhood. They have New York style bagels in a variety of flavors or you can even get a plain or any other type of bagel and ask for cheese on top, thought that was cool. The place was quickly packed but they take orders quickly which was perfect because we were headed to Orlando after. I know onion breath in the morning doesn't sound appealing but I love onion bagels with a lox spread. What was cool was that there was actual peices of lox in the cream cheese spread itself. My love had a sesame bagel with lox spread, brother in law had the jalapeño and cheese bagel with plain cream cheese and sister in law had a plain bagel with regular cream cheese. We all stuffed our faces and the bagel left us filled enough we didn't even need to stop for snacks along the ride ahead. I must say this place makes all the variety of cream cheeses in house and they even let you try a flavor if you can't decide. Must come back soon and try the vegetable and chive cream cheese, I just can't get enough of the variety they have avaliable. read more

The restaurant next door to it was closed so I thought let me go in here and see what they have for lunch and it was delicious I had the homemade chicken salad on an everything bagel that had toasted jalapeno cheese on top my side item was potato salad of course a good pickle total $12.
