Tuna melt - the picture is deceiving. There's a lot of tuna under there.

This is a very popular place. We always stop by when we're in the area. Service is fast, not always friendly, but I know they have to move the line (which is usually to the door) quickly. We always get their hot bagels, tuna melt and pepperoni pizza.

top: California Club, left: Cinnamon Bagel with Strawberry Cream Cheese, rt: Eggwich Club on Spinach Bagel

This place was nice & clean. Seating available in & outside. Menu is simple and prices are reasonable. Service was good & people were nice. We ordered the #8 Eggwhich Club on Spinach bagel, California Club, and Cinnamon bagel with th strawberry spread. Really good.

Pesto bagel w/ sun dried tomato cream cheese

My favorite bagel shop is House of Bagels in Downtown San Jose. My go-to bagel is a pesto bagel w/sun dried tomato and cream cheese. Finding a bagel shop with this combination has been challenging since I moved to the East Bay. I had to try it when I saw on Yelp that Bagel Street Cafe offers this combination. The process for ordering was very simple and quick. Place your order where the bagels are and walk to the counter to pay. Once your bagel is ready, they call your order out so you can pick it up at the pickup counter. I always ask for my bagel to be extra toasted, and it turned out perfectly. Crispy on the outside but still maintaining the softness on the inside. The bagel had a good amount of pesto and cream cheese. I hate it when bagel shops don't have enough cream cheese. I'm glad I won't have to drive to San Jose when I'm craving my bagel combination.

Lox sandwich on everything bagel - where is the LOX? Someone forgot to put the lox in the sandwich
    June R.

Come here regularly after my Pilates class and pretty much order the same breakfast sandwich. However today they forgot to put the lox in the sandwich - the only difference from my regular order today was that I wanted the bagel toasted. Typically I order not toasted - this extra step of toasting somehow May have resulted in the staff overlooking the lox..... will let management know tomorrow ..... in person. Note to self - check the sandwich ? Should not have to but after today may be new routine - UGH.

Came here since I was craving a lox and cream cheese all dressed up and they delivered! I got the pesto bagel and I really enjoyed it. I asked for extra cream cheese and I can confidently say they "respect the schmear". Toasted the bagel, some big capers, red onion, lox, and cream cheese was in perfect proportions. Order came out quick and I love that I wasn't overcharged for a lox *cough* boichik *cough* Nice quick local spot that can be overlooked. They also had some Dragonball Z fan art that they were selling thought that was a nice local touch.

We went here mid-afternoon, so there weren't a lot of bagel options left. There was a lot of seating, but it felt very dark indoors. There was seating outside as well. We tried the salt bagel and it was nice size. The bagel itself was very good and soft even when heated. The customer service was so so.

    Bagel menu - very extensive!

Located in the South Shore Center in Alameda, I knew I wanted to grab something really quick and yummy before I commenced my shopping. I decided on a Lox Bagel with all the fixings on Jalapeno bagel with veggie cream cheese. DAMN IT WAS GOOD! I love that they really FILL it up with all the good stuff. There was not too much or too little of anything, but just right. I do wish the bagel was toasted a tiny bit more to get more of that crunch, but I will make sure to ask for that next time. From the time I ordered to when I received my bagel, it was 4 minutes. There were others in line as well and there are tables in the business. Looking forward to stopping here again when I'm here for more shopping trips!

I'm eating here for years never seem to be disappointed. The food is always on point. The service has always provided with a smile. While I'm sitting outside, just taking in the vitamin D from the sun, the ambience is fantastic.

Messed up my order. Wanted sausage, was given bacon.

I came in around 8:30, a few tables outside had people drinking their coffees and eating breakfast. When I walked in, only one guy was waiting for his order. There was only one person working. The service was not good. I stood at the order counter for 5 minutes, I looked at the lady, she looked at me, and didn't offer a high I'll be right with you. I understand she was the only one preparing coffee and food. I'm not trying to complain about the wait, but the lack of acknowledging a customer to say it will take some time. I finally ordered an iced latte. I do think they have some creative drinks, but I know they are usually too sweet and I just opt for a plain iced latte instead. It was an ok latte, nothing amazing. They have a bulletin board for people to post their flyers or business cards. There was a card on the board that said A.W.A.R - All woke are retards. So festive and just hit for that season. Wonder if they can do it all year round? Smoked Salmon Bagel ($9.50/4*) Nice toasty smaller bagel with all the usuals of soft lox n cream cheese, capers and red onions. Loved the compact size as it didn't put a lead weight in my gut in the AM hours. The bagel crust tho is kinda hard and brittle, almost crouton hard which I thought was strange. But the interior was indeed soft yet chewy. Iced Cold Brew ($4/4*) Pretty smooth. I only asked for a kiss of cream and it was just right. I prefer a more robust roast finish but still quite serviceable. I liked how the owner knew a lot of the customers by name. Since I'm not a reg, I actually was the only one who didn't get called by name on a weekday morning. Love the small town vibe and even tho not a reg, I'd still hit this up if in the neighborhood.

I work super early in the morning so I rush to my Google Maps to see what's open. Huzzah! This place is open at 6am. I hop in my car and drive relatively fast (but safe) so I'm not late to work. Service is pretty friendly, I made the mistake of asking for two shots of espresso in my medium latte (2 shots is a medium, duh Lauryn), but they were pretty nice about it. My lox bagel was pretty fresh and delicious. Good amount of cream cheese and salmon, and the cucumbers and tomatoes didn't taste like they were sitting in the fridge. They were crisp! Since I was grabbing and going, can't speak too much on ambiance on the place. Usually there's a small line out the door and that has remained unchanged for this visit as well. They have a small space and tables for small parties both inside the cafe and along their front sidewalk. Their menu selection is wide, offering a variety of lattes, coffees, and teas, but also both pastries and small meals as well. It's no wonder why they're always popping around this time of day. Although I haven't tried many of their drinks, I can say that their matcha latte has been consistently good. Today I ordered one with almond milk and the matcha flavor is nicely balanced. Good ratio between matcha and milk. The matcha itself tastes pretty well rounded - not bitter, but also not too subtle in flavor. I probably got the matcha here like three times and it has not failed me yet. My partner really enjoys the Malasada but they can sell out pretty quickly. Previously I've tried their Ube Crinkle and their donuts and they were pretty good as well. This time, I wanted something a little less sweet and small so I tried the Bibingka which was great! I love mochi and the Bibingka had a mochi texture to it. It comes with some pineapple bits which I tend to avoid, but my desire to try something new overrode that today and thankfully, the bits were small. It's a dense little bite, but I enjoyed it! A perfect little bike treat. I don't get much interaction here with the workers since it's such a quick stop, but it's okay. I think depending on what time you go, it just gets really busy and employees are just trying to chug out the orders. We'll be back again for those delicious drinks and pastries though!
