Lox Spread on toasted sourdough. $7. Wasn't stoked with the amount... for $7.

Should have checked review first.. I don't recall this place being like this. Has there been a change in ownership or management? This was my $7 bagel with lox spread. Not lox... lox spread. It's more than other flavored spreads, understandable. But, was shocked at the tad I was given. When asked to confirm, the guy quickly affirmed, "yup, that's the amount..." I would have been at least concerned a customer immediately questioned the finished product. But, this is what they ride on.. so, now I know and we all have choices. I'll choose to not going forward. Gave it an extra star cause the bagel was at least good. But, the quick dismissal of my interaction left a bad taste in my mouths, couldn't add a 3rd. It's too bad.. our service industry is declining.

Fast friendly service, delicious well-toasted sesame bagel, and lovely scallion schmear. Passed by here tons but never ate here until today.

This place is very delicious. They make their pizza supreme bagels, totally different than I've ever had I keep telling myself I'm gonna try something different but I keep ordering the same thing. I'm sure everything that is on their menu is delicious.!

    Single Bagel

Breakfast bagel sandwiches are decent but don't bother with a bagel and cream cheese. It's insulting honestly. Burnt with barely any cream cheese. Get a couple bagels and a small side of cream cheese and make it yourself. You'll get ripped off otherwise.

jalapeño cheddar sausage breakfast bagel! Tasty and the right amount with some McDonalds hash browns where it was buy one get one free. Depending on what time of day you go, be prepared to have other bagel selections in mind because they do sell out!

Deceptive pricing. Menu board completely confusing. Worst bagel I've ever eaten. Apparently toasted doesn't mean toasted here, barely warm. Lesson learned just won't come again

Overpriced $16 Lox bagel with bad customer service included at no extra charge!

Cinnamon rolls are weak! Big, but burnt, hard and the glaze icing is very less then. Too bad.

A couple of outdoor areas, some under shade with picnic tables. Located in Marin County, California, The Lodge in Fairfax is an iconic, historic establishment built in 1908 by the Arbini and Segale families as The Old Timer's Saloon, serving as the town's very first bar. After years of being utilized differently, the building underwent an extensive two-year restoration. The owners of the San Francisco bike shop Big Swingin' Cycles purchased the property, upgrading its infrastructure, adding a kitchen, and building a large, dog-friendly outdoor beer garden. You get that feeling that you really are at a lodge at the lake in Wisconsin. At least for a minute, it brings back memories. However, in place of the white and red pine trees are the gorgeous redwoods providing shade. Nice tap beer list with healthy portions served. I had the mushroom tacos, vegetarian style with a little salad and chips $10 and a half a beer. My lunch mate had the summer salad with chicken added $25 bucks which is a little steep, but certainly enough for two people. Served in a very large bowl. It's quite impressive. I would forgo the protein and save the six bucks extra. Great spot, great service, great ambience, great food, and beer. Walk, drive your car, or bicycle in. There are a bike racks and some parking on site.

If you're looking for wine here, the bar offers a variety, with the house wines - excellently priced at $8-$9/glass - comprised fully of Rutherford grown grapes. Somebody here knows what's up. A friend who'd talked up The Speakeasy for years is besotted by the Marsala Sautéed Chicken Livers ($11) on the bar menu. Not ever a fan of liver, I avoided sampling his until we'd collectively polished off an order of Baked Goat Cheese ($10) and a trio of Pulled Pork Tacos ($13). He'd grown full and much liver remained which is when I learned that I do like chicken liver. Or rather, I like chicken liver as prepared at The Speakeasy. All of the above pretty much had me fan-girling out over this place but then this happened: We were done, requested our check, and were told that someone that evening had picked up the tab for the entire bar, something I've not experienced in my lifetime. I already liked The Speakeasy a whole lot before learning my food and drink were free of charge. Like changed to rabid fandom when this occurred. I know that I can't expect a full repeat of this experience but even if it's just chicken livers and Cabernet, that'll be enough.

Having visited New Orleans earlier this year, I was so excited to try this place! As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was transported back to NOLA! There were beads hanging and Mardi Gras decorations throughout the restaurant. Since it was a weekday, there was no wait and we had our choice of sitting inside or out. We opted for inside. Our server was warm and friendly, bringing us water promptly. We started off with an order of beignets. It arrived with three big pieces. They were freshly fried and doused in powdered sugar. So good! My daughter ordered the chicken and waffles, while I decided to try the everything gumbo. The chicken and waffles was huge! It came with several pieces of fried chicken that was topped with freshly minced garlic and came with a homemade spicy sauce. My daughter loved it! I tried a bite and thought it was tasty as well. She ended up taking half of it home. The everything gumbo was also delicious! It was a little thin in my opinion, but the flavor was amazing! It was truly authentic and I could taste all the seafood that was in it. I finished my entire bowl! Unlike the chicken and waffle, it was appropriately sized. When I went to pay the bill, there was a sign that said "free beignets if you pay cash." So of course, I paid our bill in cash! Luckily, I had enough cash on me. Can't pass up a deal like that! All in all, it was a very enjoyable meal! If I'm ever in the area, I'd definitely go back to The Hummingbird!
