I stopped by Miracle Mile for a meal after hitting a massive traffic backup on the bridge, which pushed breakfast out to lunchtime. Luckily, they serve breakfast all day. I ordered the daily special, "Divorced Eggs," which featured two tortillas at the base, ham, eggs, salsa, and avocado. The black beans on the side were a perfect complement. My wife went with the two-egg breakfast paired with veggie patties. She loved the patties and the delicious rye toast. The staff was great and kept the coffee refills coming. Excellent food and friendly attentive service at this family owned restaurant, plenty of options for all day breakfast and lunch until 2:30 pm on Sundays. Enjoyed the classic Eggs Benedict with spicy hollandaise and home fries, the sweet cinnamon roll pancakes, basic eggs/home fries/toast breakfast and Corned Beef hash breakfast. Parking is available in a small lot adjacent to the cafe and is wheelchair accessible with plenty of movable tables indoors. OH, Lawdy, I've died and gone to heaven. They have Gluten-Free pancakes, Gluten-Free waffles, Gluten-Free bread, and Gluten-Free BISCUITS. I will have to settle for savoring different tastes during each visit.... although so far I can't seem to turn away from the GF cinnamon roll pancakes.... They. Are. Aaamazeballs. I've now been to this restaurant twice, both times for breakfast/brunch. You have the choice of eating inside or outside. The first time we sat inside and it was very pleasant. But today, the weather was nice so we tried the outside tables. Because of the constant traffic on Fourth Street in San Rafael, we were literally shouting to eachother to be heard. So before the food was served, we moved to another outside table along the side of the restaurant. Noise levels were much better, but we were now without an umbrella or shade. Next time, maybe we'll go back to inside. Service is amazingly fast, friendly, and attentive. And my food was excellent. I usually look for food items that I either can't or won't make at home. The first visit I ordered French Toast, and today their "Famous Cinnamon Roll Pancakes" (the tall stack with three pancakes). I also ordered an egg on the side. Both meals were excellent, with the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes absolutely deserving their fame. Crunchy, super sweet and cinnamony. They served maple syrup on the side, but due to the glaze on the pancakes, it wasn't needed at all. My friend ordered a scramble the first time (unsure if it was custom ordered or off the menu) and an omelette today, beautifully made. Funny, I've lived in the adjacent San Anselmo for 40 years, and clearly this restaurant has been around for decades, but I've only just discovered it. My wife ordered coffee with her daily special of a Philly cheese sandwich and extra crispy fries. I ordered an Americano with my extra crispy, well done corned beef hash with soft poached eggs and English muffin. My wife enjoyed her sandwich but could only eat half of her sandwich and brought the other half home. I cleared my plate of the hash. We come because the food is exceptional and very consistent in quality. The service has always been excellent, checking on us during our meal a couple times. I'm taking one star away only because of the way they looked at my service dog. They asked if he was a service dog and he had his service dog harness on. When I said yes, he is a service dog, they didn't look happy. I understand, but I need my dog with me. The food was fantastic! I loved my pancakes and my guy loved his omelette. Here what you should know about Miracle Mile Café: I would describe this place as a local treasure where the food and service are very good. It's a great place to meet up over breakfast or lunch. 1) It is right off Fourth Street in San Rafael. If you are sitting outside, it can get noisy. Traffic can get congested at times, so be prepared. 2) The parking lot is small, however street parking is available. 3) Very dog friendly. I brought my pooch on a rainy day. There is a covered area where I set up a dog bed and it was dry, even on a cold, rainy day. Doggy enjoyed looking out at the traffic congestion and took it all in. 4) The food. I ordered a full stack of cinnamon roll pancakes, a side of two scrambled eggs and coffee. The pancakes weren't overly sweet and you get actual, real maple syrup here and not some high fructose corn syrup concoction. 5) When one considers the quality of the food, the fact that my food arrived hot and fresh, and my waiter was personable, I felt my meal was worth it and was willing to spend a bit more for it. My wife and I decided to grab brunch. I have been seeing Mírale Mile Cafe and wanted to try it. The food was very good and decent portions. I ordered an omelette and was very pleased with my choice. Would definitely order it again. The covered patio was awesome with murals and green vegetation. The neighborhood is ok, but a bit unkept. It's in an area with homeless people wandering around on the street, but once inside the restaurant none of the people outside were noticed. Also, no problem with any of the persons on the street. They just went about their business. Service was great. A lot of families there eating brunch. We will definitely come back. Just a note about parking. This place is in a nice location with both indoor and outdoor dining. We were immediately greeted by our server who had an awesome attitude and really set the tone for our experience! Miracle Mile is damn good. It's a restaurant that deserves to be at a beach front resort with hundreds of people in line for their famous cinnamon roll pancakes. Lucky for me, it's in an unassuming location tucked away in San Rafael. The pancakes aren't the only good thing, everything tastes amazing here. I've ordered to go quite a number of times, sometimes for large groups and they DO NOT disappoint. They come through for take out orders just like they do in person. Staff is super friendly, super accommodating, and they make you feel welcomed. I've eaten at the resto once, cute spot with a backdrop and mural for photo ops. I also liked the mimosa flight, yum! We were heading for another restaurant in this area and pulled into Miracle Mile by mistake. Turned out to be a good one. Seems to be a Peruvian family-run cafe. It is clean. The tables are in front of the kitchen and the server area. There is a sense of motion as the servers keep moving around and the kitchen is calling out orders up and customers are part of the mix. Not bad...just a lot of action going on. Open 7am - 2pm so is a breakfast and lunch/brunch place. The serve alcohol, so seems odd to me, as cocktails are generally an evening option. The menu is amazing. It is an American - Peruvian mix of items. Traditional egg dishes, omelets, and little surprises, like Peruvian flax seed waffles and pancakes! There are huevos rancheros, Peruvian pulled pork plate, chilaquiles and burritos. Salads and soups, house specials, a kid's menu, burgers, smoothies, and made-to-order coffees. Quite a menu journey. Servers come across as really caring for the customers. Like in a family restaurant, huh? Our mistake became a pleasant adventure. Good for them. I wish them much success. One of the best brunches I've had in a long time! Everything was spot on from the friendly service to the comfortable patio seating to the delicious food. I'm a bit tired of all the trendy Asian fusion brunch places, so Miracle Mile Cafe was a breath of fresh air with their menu offering the classics as well as Peruvian and Mexican dishes. Their cinnamon roll pancakes are magical! They're fluffy yet crispy on the edges and somehow made to be swirled with crevices filled with cinnamon - a must get treat! Perhaps the best pancakes I've ever had. The corned beef Benedict hit the spot, and I loved that the grilled bell pepper and onion bits made the dish feel not too heavy. Their housemade salsa had a fragrant roasted flavor and paired well with the side of home fries. The Green Mile smoothie with mango, kale, banana, and coconut water was perfect for me. The steak in the Peruvian steak sandwich was a tad dry but still fine when eaten all together in the sandwich with the tomatoes and sauce. What an absolute delight! We stopped by for breakfast on a Monday morning, and it wasn't very busy. All the staff were friendly and seemed like they actually enjoyed being there to serve customers. My coffee was refilled at the right times, and they even filled up our reusable water bottles for our hike afterward with a smile. My partner got the breakfast special, flank steak with chilaquiles, and it looked amazing! I opted for the avocado toast. It was so flavorful with the oil, micro greens, and real bacon bits. There were four pieces of toast and the two in the middle had the perfect soft boiled eggs on top. The fresh fruit side was delicious! The blueberries, melon, and cantaloupe actually tasted sweet and flavorful! It made me sad that the fruit I get from the store doesn't taste this good. The little ones got a bowl of oatmeal and a side of sausage to share. We ended up eating some of their oatmeal and it was yummy! Just the right level of creaminess. Here's a hot tip for ya': The best breakfast/brunch in Marin County can be had at the Miracle Mile Cafe. It had long been on my radar but since I almost never go out for breakfast two things happened to spur me into going here. First, a friend was over, expounding on how he loves the breakfasts here. This spurred a "what's your favorite meal?" conversation amongst three of us and I learned that the person I've lived with for more than half my life has a favorite meal and it is breakfast. Mine is dinner but I used my newfound knowledge to arrange a celebratory birthday breakfast for the one who loves it. Four of us sat outside at a roomy picnic bench and studied the menu which is truly so chock-a-block with good sounding offerings that deciding on just one proved difficult. The choices finally settled upon at our table included Chilaquiles, Corned Beef Hash, an omelet with pulled pork, and another Peruvian pork offering. The menu features many Peruvian-inspired offerings but also pretty much everything delicious that one could dream up. Because we were celebrating a birthday, we also got a surprise: a a big, delicious, candle-topped pancake, on the house. Miracle Mile Cafe sits on a very busy street with cars whizzing past while you dine al fresco (there's indoor seating as well). Still, even the sound of cars whizzing past could do nothing to take away the joy that such satisfying fare brought. Incredible service! The staff is attentive, fast AND friendly. I came here while waiting for my mom's knee replacement procedure to be completed - it felt like eating the best comfort breakfast ever. Place is dog-friendly and have both indoor and outdoor dining which is why we came here. Parking lot is hella small and tough to get out of since it's the same as the entrance, on a highly trafficked street. Street parking is available but hard to find too. I ended up having to park a block away which was still close. Parking is one of the reasons I knocked a star. It's just not the most convenient esp if you're coming in a big group. Service was a bit slow but the waitress did say she just put in tickets for a big group and she was going to try to get ours out first. But what was irritating about service was that we had to ask for silverware and water multiple times before we got it. The menu is extensive and they offer mimosa carafes with different flavors! I forgot to take pics but the blue one is hella pretty! I ordered their special of the day which was a potato pancake with smoked salmon and micro greens. Their homemade hot sauce was spicy but definitely elevated the dish. Loved the potato pancake as it was crispy and a better base than an English muffin like in eggs benedict. My parents have been here before and told me about this place which they happened to find on a walk. Thus, voila! My first visit and I'm so glad I finally got to check it out. I believe they are not open for dinner so I came in the morning. I ordered their pulled pork breakfast plate. Funny enough, the pulled pork was served on one (burger?) bun. I love that they added cilantro and onions. It really added to the variety of flavors you experience here. The sharp onions, the sensual -with a gentle touch of sweet- pork, the "tropical/herbaceous" cilantro, the slightly salty potatoes, and of course your classic eggs, which you can have in any style you wish! Also had coffee to complete the "set" haha. When I came, it seemed most of the customers preferred outdoors, despite the seating being near the street. We waited a long time to try out here. It seemed always full and busy outside during the nice weather so we waited for a cool late morning to stop in. It was packed and very noisy. This was sewing, partly to the acoustics and partly to the people who were there I suppose. It was also quite cold inside. There were two split air air heater units on the walls, but neither of them were turned on. Everybody had their jacket on. The food was OK. Will try it again another time before giving it a more thorough review focusing on the food in the service. read more
