He chose to order a sausage egg and cheese on a sesame bagel. He received ham and eggs on whole wheat toast. With a big old side of attitude. Now, someone who speaks thier language comes in and out of the blue the lights in the bagel counter come on and his order is taken and he is out the door. Why does this place not have a billion positive reviews?? They are the BEST bagels around. Without a doubt they are far superior to the rest in the area (and beyond the area too). The bagels are traditional water boiled (as all proper New York bagels should be!!!). They have the perfect amount of chewiness while still being soft and utterly delicious. Egg and cheese on a plain or whole wheat everything...so good. This place should be packed at all times. I think they deliver and I know they stay open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday nights which is awesome. Easiest 5 stars I have ever given. read more

Really too bad that such great bagels have to be enriching a far flung enclave of bay ridge- where as I would travel a mile out if my way gladly to consume these immaculate huge holed beautiful gastronomic monsters! Small place. Offers an assortment of fresh bagels and cream cheeses in addition to muffins, some hot and cold sandwiches, chips, coffee, and soft drinks. They had a French Toast bagel (signature) and a crunchy caramel cream cheese which looked interesting. I ordered 5 different bagels with different toppings and my order was 100% accurate. Bagels were good, reasonably priced, and big. Some of the things in the display looked like they'd seen better days. Don't expect service with a smile though. The counter guy barely makes eye contact, grunts responses, and walks away while you're talking to him. It's whatever, that's the Brooklyn way. The bagels here are actually really good and I would have given this place 4 stars if the guy behind the counter wasn't trying to charge me for a water that I already had when I walked into the store. My wAter was already open and i had already drank a substantial amount on my way to the bagel store. Even the wrapper was slightly torn a bit, my point clearly I had already brought it into the store with me. The guy was looking at me as if I was lying. Really?!?!?! Do you think I started chugging the water in the store?! After I told him it was mine he proceeded to give me $1 dollar less than I was owed and when he saw my face he grabbed another dollar. I've been buying bagels here for almost twenty years. The ownership has changed and the place has been renovated a number of times, but the bagels have always been great. They are handmade water bagels, not the crappy rack bagels that some places try to pass off as bagels. I don't know why this place isn't recognized by the "Best of" lists that come out periodically, because the bagels are outstanding, especially if you get them fresh out of the oven - crusty on the outside, chewy on the inside. They don't skimp on the toppings (everything, sesame, salt, etc.) like some bagel places do, although the bagels have gotten considerably smaller over the past 2-3 years. They are still a decent size, but not like the huge size they used to be. Also, the prices are reasonable (currently $8.99 per dozen). The service here is always friendly too. Oscar is a nice guy and the other people behind the counter are helpful and pleasant. read more

my boss gave me a 10 to get him a coffee. i paid first for that and then proceeded to order my own food as a separate order. i realize that i have 3 dollars change for one coffee. i ask how much a medium coffee was and he says it was 2, i explain i gave him a 10. he doesnt seem to believe me but gives me my correct change. i am now waiting for my BLT that i ordered, i hear the men laughing by the grill but i dont think anything, when i get back to my office i open my sandwich and there is a several big slabs of uncooked or half cooked bacon. mind you i was the only person in the store being that the morning rush was over so its not like they were pressed for time and couldnt cook it properly. i dont know if it was because of the change incident or they just done care, but that shit is gross and pisses me off as the first meal i was trying to have today. read more

Hands down the best bagels in Bay Ridge. This place has been around forever. Although the name has changed, the bagel quality hasn't. They still make bagels the old fashioned way - not the frozen and steamed bagels you see in most places. I thank the heavens every day that this place is so close to where I live and to the train station. Seriously delicious. Most of the other bagels in the area I've had are really doughy, soft and bland - not at Bagel Supreme. They toast my everything bagels and they are crispy and salty and amazing with eggs or with cream cheese. Coffee is good there too and they have a decent selection of juice. Bagels here are delicious. They're the big chewy dense New York kind that's boiled before baking. Nice crunch on the outside and chewy on the inside. Cream cheese is fresh and the butter is nice and salty. Prices are great too and they're open 24/7 whenever you're in the mood for a bagel. I think the grill closes around 7:00 though. Really went down hill. I work around the area so I've been coming here for about 10 years. Ill admit I haven't been here in a while since my job moved down to second ave. Really excited to come back today and get the warm, huge bagels I remember. Unfortunately, the bagels are more on the stale side, the lox have to be store brand at best and the lox bagel doesn't come with a side salad anymore. For $8.00 you can't give a side salad? I noticed the "cash only, CC machine is broken sign". That has to be their way of just not accepting CC because they've never once accepted credit cards since I've been coming here for over 10 years. I was in the area at a friend's place and wanted to pick up bagels to bring back to Boston with me (I usually get them near my father's house). I saw the reviews and went here. As soon as I saw the bagels, I knew they wouldn't be good. They were giant and malformed. When I ate one, the taste was fine but the texture was all wrong. It was very soft with big air bubbles. Best. Bagels. Ever. We wandered into this place one day because my three year old was hungry while we were walking around town. I was blown away by the size and freshness of their bagels. One of my measures of a great bagel is if the plain bagel is delicious without toasting it. These bagels certainly pass that test! I just came from the store. While one of the store employees (or perhaps one of the owners) was getting the bagels from his oven, a bagel dropped on the floor. He put it back on the bucket. I asked them: are you going to through that bagel you dropped on the floor. He said did you see me me put it back? Then he said while he is in the kitchen, it's non your business my friend.
