A decent bagel joint in Yonkers to get bagels , sandwiches , sweets , beverages , etc. Stopped by to get a dozen bagels and cream cheese for the go . A few tables or so inside and everything is cramped neatly and organized inside . The bagels were still warm when I got to work and everyone seemed to enjoy the assortment of bagels . I enjoy supporting local businesses, so I tried out Bagel Land since it's reopening early July. They have the usual selection of bagels, nothing special so I guess what sets them apart is their latino sweet breads and bakery items. They have a self serve coffee station with French Vanilla and hazelnut choices (I tried the vanilla, very good) and a few juices and water. So I ordered an everything bagel with egg and cheese, walked back down to my car parked across from the laundromat (yes I was washing) and opened my bag to find the wrong order, croissant with bacon and egg. I walked back and one of the two ladies working apologized that she must have mixed up the bags, and remade my order. Finally, it was good - the bagel especially but I was surprise to find that it wasn't toasted. I assumed it would, so I'll be sure to ask for it next time. read more

As a customer of this place since I've been going to middle school at Emerson, 9 Plus years ago I would go here every day when the Mexicans /Italian owners owned it. I WILL NO LONGER BE GOING HERE due to JOE POOR Customer service, Especially towards the BLACK COMMUNITY!!! I order the same thing everyday!! But somehow they find a way to mess up my simple order purposely . I've also experienced many times were at Joe allows his buddies to cut in front of young African-Americans, like the The students that attend the school up the block , Several times especially ME !!, when I and other have been standing there already but Joe insist to serve them first. Being that I'm in my nursing uniform (at least have a sense of urgency) and I also been going here for years (at least have some type of kinship) Joe knows my occupation and knows I don't have Tim to wait for a simple bagel to be remade. , PLUS I CALL AHEAD TO PICKUP ON TIME , but my order of a everything bagel with cream cheese if somehow messed up!!!! When I ask him to remake it it takes him at least 15 minutes to make it. Then by the time I get back it may be way too much cream cheese (like a block of cheese ) or wait a little (sprouted thin like butter). Today I call and Joe expresses through body language and sounds of annoyance, disturbing irritation and tediousness, as if he doesn't want anything to do with a simple order. In that case hiring better staff that will actually listen to customer's request of what they eat and like on things they PAY FOR Or just quit if you can't handle it read more

Local bagel place with pretty good bagels and sandwiches. They have only the basic bagels (plain, poppy, sesame, onion, you know the ones we all had before 1999). They don't over cream cheese the bagels, but they also don't skimp either. A good place to pick up a bagel, juice and paper if you are local. read more
