Aside from all that, this place is adorable! Love the decor and pastries were clearly fresh and made there, which is unfortunately becoming rare in these kinds of places. Could tell the chives were fresh in my scone by the bright green color. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

The filled ones are my favorite. They are big and light not heavy or cakey. I had to stop by and get a dozen to take home before I left. I also bought some muffins. These were disappointing, I didn't see them I just ordered them and the girl working went to the back to get them and box them up. I didn't think they were worth the money. Very small and they weren't nothing special. This does not change my 5 stars for the donuts! I can't wait to get them again next time I go. ( Which is right around the corner now!) If you haven't had these donuts they are worth getting! No wonder they have been here for many years.

I would think a teenager in high school could take an order change. I just got off the phone with the business development manager making excuses and eventually yelling at me. Unbelievable. Been going here for 30 years and will never go back because of that human and the lack of customer service. J's bakery used to be a wonderful place with nice people who worked there.

As an artisan baker, I am pretty critical... and rarely buy breads as commercial breads are tasteless and flavorless. I purchased a pack of his asiago bagels just to try them; the cost is around $2.50 a bagel ($10 for 4 bagels), which is high. They are pretty good, just don't expect Chicago or NYC Bagels, but if you live in Florida, this might be your best in the area. He was giving out his Italian rustic bread, which lacks any structure and flavour. However, for those who purchase any of these breads, just remember that if you do not eat them within 24 hours, always put them in the refrigerator... the heat and humidity will make your bread spoil fast. What Victoria commented about happened because she didn't put it in the refrigerator. All my breads that I make last 5-6 days when properly refrigerated. You can also freeze bread/bagels and cakes, too. Overall, bagels are 3.5 (overpriced); there should be a pack of 5 minimum for what you pay. Italian rustic bread (2 stars), commercial bread quality. We nearly bought one of every single pastry they had! The way he described the pastries made it hard to say no to anything! We also got 3 lattes, very delicious! I got a blueberry vanilla latte with oat milk and my friends for the salted caramel latte. The place itself is small and only has one table inside, so plan to take it to go! I was going to take the time to rate each pastry but I can honestly say they are all 10/10! We got: sticky buns, everything croissant with cream cheese, mango New York croissant, chocolate croissant, almond croissant, seasonal summer croissant (S'mores), chocolate and vanilla cruffin, strawberry stuffed croissant, and some filled danishes.
