Saturday morning coffee. Nothing better than it usually. Except this morning we chose poorly in my opinion. At least for the caffeine standards. This was a place Naomi had bookmarked to try due to her love of bagels. And today we were gonna be in Liverpool. Figured it was a nice day for it. Upon first entrance, this is actually a nice little cafe nestled into a strip mall. I wasn't expecting as much seating as there was here and it was very clean. They are obviously CocaCola swag fans as there was nods to the soda everywhere. Staff was incredibly friendly at the counter and quick to take peoples orders and hand them a little number on a stick for their table to know where to bring their order. A few coffees and a bagel and I got a bagel sandwich for 11$ not a bad deal. Good came out quick, which was what I was hoping since it wasn't anything too crazy. And the wait time was what a lot of reviews I read people complained about. The coffee. I've had bottled water that tasted more like coffee. I wish I never added any cream to it. Didn't think to taste it first. Which had me worried for the sandwich. I tried the bagelicious sandwich with ham on a "all seed" everything bagel. And the meal got better, the bagel was soft and had nice chew to it and was lightly toasted. You could taste all of the different flavors. They definitely use egg beaters here. But they are cooked well and nice and fluffy with good quality deli ham and cheese. The sandwich definitely made up for the terrible coffee. In consensus, good value for the money when it comes to food. I'm sure a soda or a juice would have been a better choice. Clean and well taken care of establishment with a friendly staff. Local business with tasty bagels that are definitely worth a stop for a quick breakfast. But it's not something I'd actively go running for. If your looking for breakfast and are in the area, a decent option for you that isn't fast food. read more

If I can give a 0 star I I would! Long story short, we were vacationing in NY and were very hungry , so we decided to go to this place based on the 'reviews' alone!! So, we got in there and my children were thinking and looking on the menu list on what they're going to order, we even let 2 ladies behind us to go ahead and get their orders because we were still deciding what we're gonna get. After those ladies got their orders , luckily we knew what we're getting and we got so excited!! We were standing there literally watching 5 staff doing whatever the heck they're doing and none of them planned or tried to make an eye contact. I right away felt hm.,,this is NOT friendly but insisted to wait and give them a time to 'catch' themselves, solely because we were hungry. You know how that goes, when you deliberately getting ignored in a store or restaurant. So, we were standing 15 minutes, 15 d***n minutes long only to see that they greeted 2 gentlemen that just stepped their feet into the place with a complete different facial expression and tone of voice. So, those two gentlemen literally looked confused as to why the staff were trying to get their orders (they haven't even completely inside the store) and ignoring me and my children. instead of us greeting us, or ask if we were ready to tell our order they were just letting us standing there right in-front of the new customers that just came in and took their orders, started getting their orders and act like we were NOT even exist. What??? She took the two gentlemen orders and the two guys were standing behind us!!! Boy,...the humiliation was so bad that my two hungry minors noted and said :" Momma they don't like us in that place, why? and for what reasons?" We look great and act kind, why are those people acting like that?? The y are not liking us because we are not having the same color with all the customers!!! Man, when kids feel that way it is their genuine' conscience that is talking!!! So, I collect myself, keep my cool and made an eye contact with the lady that looks like the manager in that place and told her, that is to your lost when you treat people like us poorly and also to your lost when you gave a very bad example on how you treat people because based on their skin tones and race! As for me, I am going to continue to enjoy my life and our vacation and keep teaching my children how to be a good human being as long as they live on this earth. I feel sorry for all of these people because they look so hateful (especially the young teenagers boy) because they failed to proof the good reviews that I read about to be true! Only GOD knows who made those reviews, and last but least they should put a 'sign' these bagels are only for 'pure' Caucasian customers NOT for 'mixed' race, African American or darker color skin tones! So, if you happen to think about getting something from this place and you're NON Caucasian, good luck!t I don't want you to feel the same experience such as ours, if you do, pls leave a review too and be honest about it. We ended up went to the mall and got us a nice bakery shop and had a good lunch there at a Ramen place - and spent all day in the mall with very nice waitresses and restaurant owners and feel good about ourselves!!! read more

I really like this place. The ambiance is great, and the vibe here is a mom and pop shop that really likes coca cola products (decor/art here is awesome). The line takes a bit of time if it is busy, but the bagels here are really good. I go with either an everything bagel with one of their specialty cream cheese spreads, or I'll go with their special "bagelicious", which is their bagel sandwich, with choice of bacon sausage or ham. They do their bacon well here, so that's what I go with. The bagels are perfectly toasted, the eggs fluffy, and cheese very melty. I think what's missing is a little bit of spread/mayo, which could make this already amazing sandwich a little bit better. They serve local cafe kubal coffee as well, which I respect; local shops supporting local shops. I wish they served iced coffee though! P & R Bagelicious is located in the now updated Bayberry Plaza in Liverpool just northwest of Syracuse. It's a short trip yet, I want to save you time, money and wear and tear on your car...stay home and eat something else...anything else. So, you may imagine this review is about to be unfavorable and yes, you are a keenly astute observationalist. While I hate to write poor reviews, I hate to eat shitty bagels..oops...I said it. Their strip mall location doesn't bother me. The inside of the business is clean and neat. The workers are generally polite ( unlike the hustle you get in most NYC/NJ bagel joints, but being from NYC, I miss the ambiance !) and there is a small selection of bagels available of the primary essentials. Briefly, these are lightweight, airy bread like baked goods shaped like bagels...these are not NYC or Montreal style bagels. When I searched Google for "bagels liverpool, ny" one listing was Yelp in Spanish for " pan rosquillas" or Bread Donuts...how right this was... My review is based on two visits. I visited about one year ago ( yes, I take written notes for reference) and a visit several days ago. My first visit was promising simply because I finally found the one independent bagel joint in less than 75 to 100 miles from Syracuse. ( don't write to me if you found a joint at the 73.9 mile demarcation) Visit 1: I went to Bagelicious late on a Saturday morning and found a completely empty business. I seated my self, was given a menu and asked what i wanted to drink ( coffee, what else?) My disinterested waitress took my request, delivered my coffee and asked what I wanted to eat. I elected to have a breakfast sandwich of a sesame bagel with egg, bacon and cheese. I started to drink my coffee which was memorable for its weakness and bitterness. It was a relatively non-salvageable cup of brew. So, as I waited for things to improve, I dreamed of a good solid NYC bagel with a fried egg, cheese and great bacon. I waited and what I received was an alleged "bagel" ( which was toasted, even though I did not request it to be toasted) with scrambled eggs, cheese and overdone bacon. The bagel was soft, without a chewy malty crust, and firm interior. I concluded there was no bagel to be found here. On to encounter #2... Visit 2: Days ago, I decided to re-visit this business. I stopped into the newly renovated Bayberry Plaza and entered Bagelicious around noon time. In most NYC, NJ and other popular bagel destinations, bagel stores bake their bagels either 24 hours a day or bake fresh batches throughout the day. So, you can go to a bagel shop at 2:00PM or 2:00AM and expect hot, fresh bagels all day long. One goes in, asks what is fresh from the oven and makes choices. This past weekend, I went in to Bagelicious with the intention of buying bagels. I saw their small selection in their display and asked "which bagels are the freshest?" The response was not what I expected: " All of our bagels were baked fresh this morning" . That was about 6 hours ago. When I asked if they had anything fresh out of the oven...no, that was it Disappointment but, not unexpected. I bought two donuts err...bagels for $2.00. When I got home my previous soft bread experience was relived. If you like Dunkin Donuts or Breuggers, keep going there as there is nothing special here to make me return. If you can find an Einstein's Bagels, you'll be miles ahead of this sad excuse for a bagel. read more

Their bagels are light and delicious, baked fresh every morning. Can't say enough about the bagelicious bagel sandwich. The raspberry danish is also very good. My husband and I haven't tried anything we haven't liked yet. They have done well with the COVID regulations and though there's not currently indoor seating for dining, the shop has a great atmosphere. They have great customer service! I have been going for breakfast once a week and the cashier remembers my name now. All the employees are always very kind! read more

Expensive little place but there isn't much in the way of breakfast joints in this area. Cost me $10 for a small black coffee and two egg whites with veggies. Kinda high considering I didn't order any bread. No gluten free bread or bagel options. No soy almond or coconut milk. No free WiFi. I doubt I'll go back. Lets get the disappointment over with first. This place is clearly a beloved spot in Liverpool. It was busy and people seemed excited to be there. But the bagels weren't really great examples of the form. In my opinion a great bagel has a shiny crust with a slightly chewy outside giving way to a somewhat dense but tender interior. None of the bagels we saw or tried here were at all shiny and the size and texture was more roll than bagel. Also they seem to cook them in connected sheets of attached bagels which gives them a somewhat squared off appearance. I'm not sure if they spray them with water before baking them off or if that would even help with the shine and crust but I think they could be better. That said, the staff, everything that went in or on our bagel sandwiches and the price were all pleasing. I especially give kudos to the fresh crispy lettuce and good quality tomato on my turkey club. They also had ice available which I appreciate with my beverage. read more

Bagelicious not only makes delicious bagels but also sells entrees. Every morning I go and have a 3 egg omelet with a freshly made poppy seed bagel with butter and a large cup of coffee. Absolutely delicious and as a kicker they got rid of their house coffee, which wasn't wonderful, and they now sell freshly ground brewed coffee roasted by the local coffee company Kubal coffee and it is simply amazing. They also have a large selection of bagels, but they sell fast, and about 20 different flavors of cream cheese. Enjoy! read more

The food is 5 stars; the staff is 5 stars, it's the wait time that really puts a minor damper on the experience. While I appreciate the time and fresh ingredients that go into a made-to-order order breakfast, I feel like I would give them a lot more of my business if things were just a little quicker. When it's just a bagel, no big deal but anything beyond that you either have to call well enough ahead or plan to wait a bit. I am quite lucky that where I work, there is so much food surrounding me. I can literally walk right over here. The food here is really tasty. They have a ton of choices for different types of bagels and cream cheese as well. The location is so easy to get to for anybody as well. They are right in the heart of Bayberry Plaza and there is plenty of parking as well. The only issue I think that I have noticed is that sometimes it takes a little too long to get my food. Its harder to come here for lunch when I only have 30 minutes, but I might end up waiting for 10 to 15 minutes before I am able to eat. The flavor definitely makes it worth the wait when I have the time though. Pricing is pretty on point. Some of their items are on the higher end of the breakfast spectrum, but most of them are standard pricing. I do recommend coming here! read more

Went here on a a Saturday morning. The place was very busy. Ordered a bagel sandwich to go. Thought this would take 10 minutes or so, 15 at most. I was very wrong. After ordering, it took over a half hour for the order to be ready. This is unacceptable for a breakfast joint. And is the main reason I would not consider coming back here. They cook on portable burners and not in a real kitchen. While everything is cooked to order, they really should streamline their process. The bagel sandwich was decent. Nothing spectacular. Bagel was very doughy and not toasted enough. Tables are too big and tough to move around this restaurant. This does not leave much room to wait the significant amount of time for your food to be ready. Overall, if you have all day to wait this could be a good breakfast. I think there are 2 types of bagels; the boiled chewy kind and the ones that are more like rolls. The first is good with just a schmear, the second works with a breakfast sandwich. I just moved up to the area from the Hudson Valley. It was Sunday and I was craving a bagel. My biggest gripe with this place is that it takes extraordinarily long to get your order. Putting cream cheese on 4 bagels shouldn't take 10 minutes. But it did. Bagel quality was "different" than abnormal bagel, but not bad. Very mushy and soft, not traditionally "bagely" with a crispy exterior and a spongy inside. They weren't bad, by any stretch, just different. I actually quite enjoyed it when I finally got it. They also call the EVERYTHING BAGEL an ALL-SEED. Which is unorthodox, but whatever. The policy of serving coffee refills at the counter is probably not conducive to fast service. But the staff member at the counter on the other hand is extremely unfriendly. She wasn't helpful, and didn't care to help us through the ordering process although we expressed it was our first time. She talked under her breath and made it extremely hard for us to understand. This place is cute and has ton of potential! My manager and I came over here to pick up a few bagels for the office and grab breakfast for ourselves. I ordered the Bagelicious and he ordered the same. The bagel to me had the consistency of a hard roll and less of a bagel. The sandwich also was a bit more on the greasy side than I prefer but my manager seemed to love it (but he also adds ketchup to everything).
