French toast bagel with eggs and cheese. Eggs barely cooked slime and runny
    Nicole D.

HORRIBLE PLACE!!! Workers are rude, eggs not cooked all the way truly disgusting! First and last time going here now I see why it's always empty!

They don't skimp on the cream cheese, which I appreciate.

I love this place! I've eaten thousands upon thousands of bagels in my life, and this is by far my favorite spot. I have no idea why there are so many bad reviews. The staff is nice, parking is easy, service is fast, and the bagels are delicious. Highly recommend.

    Bagel with incorrect cheese.

Went there today and there is a young woman with braces taking my order. I asked her for a bagel with eggs and Munster cheese and a chocolate chip cookie. She doesn't ring me up for a cookie I caught that as I paid her. I said I asked you for a cookie she said no I said I looked you right in the eye and asked you. But she was too busy speaking Spanish to her make co worker. I got home and my bagel is with mozzarella cheese not muenster cheese. I get mistakes happen but she was rude on top of everything else.

Pork Roll, Egg & Cheese on Onion Bagel

This was part of a small complex. There were a few tables to sit at and the ordering was done at the counter. The service was okay as the line moved fairly quick. They had a number of different options ranging from bagels to sandwiches to baked goods. The prices were a little steep and there were a lot of add on costs to certain items I noticed. I had an onion bagel with pork roll, egg, and cheese (Around $6). The bagel was not very flavorful and was small. There was a good amount of the pork roll, egg and cheese, which was cooked all appropriately. It was decent at best. Will I go back? Probably not.

Coffee ice cubes no more watery coffee.

This place never disappoints! They have a great menu great bagels, and great sandwiches, and their staff is amazing. I always stop in and just get a bagel with either cream cheese or a bacon, egg and cheese but I never get my coffee from them. That changed this morning. I ask for an iced coffee, basic cream and sugar and guess what the freaking ice cubes are made from frozen coffee!!! Yes!! I've done this at home, but never seen a business. Do it game changer for them. And to add the place is cozy and always clean.

This used to be my go-to spot for a good bagel. April of 24' I guess they started to make their bagels half the size, about the same as a mini bagel and then charged a little bit more on top of that. At least give me what I pay for! They lost me, and I'm telling everyone else I know.

Bagel Bomb with Taylor ham, egg, cheese, has brown Side 1
    Jackie S.

First time there because of mixed reviews even though I've lived in the area for years. I ordered the bagel bomb: toasted everything bagel, Taylor ham, egg, cheese and hash brown (approx $8) Eh. It looked like a plain bagel, hardly any seasoning. The bagel was soft, toppings were decent but what turned me off, (besides the lack of seasoning), was the amount of butter it was drenched it. Also purchased a sour tasting piece of what we believe to be day old pound cake. Perhaps buy the bagels to bring home and prepare yourself.

Everything Flagel with low fat Scallion Cream Cheese
    Sam W.

Bagels 4 U was my second favorite hometown bagel place (I was always partial to Bagel Barn in Montgomery). Having said that, I do think a lot of the ratings here solely regarding service are somewhat unfair. The place itself is run by two older ladies who primarily speak English as their second language. That generally means that you'll need to be not just methodical with ordering so that you get everything you ask for, but patient so that your order is processed accurately, no matter how long it takes. Shameful that people don't do this. In fact, I came in on a Sunday, when I expected the place to be zoo-like, only for everything to be moderately busy. I ordered an everything flagel (flat version of a bagel) with low fat scallion cream cheese, and the staff was friendly, asked me several times to ensure that my order was accurate, and quickly fulfilled the request. In return, I got a tasty, flavorful, fresh bagel jam-packed with cream cheese like I asked for. Lessons learned? Be patient and accommodating to others and they will provide you with what you need, and give criticism where it's due. I will always come back to Bagels 4 U as a result of that.

It's fine. In a state with so many good bagel places this is a solid C. Not terrible. Not good. But you can do better.

Best bagels, but worst wait time and service. They need to figure out a new ordering system. Also, overly expensive.

The service was good, there was only one worker and it look a bit for us to get our drinks because she was both making drinks and taking orders. What we ordered: - Hojicha tea - Mojito Lemonade We didn't love our drinks but we also didn't hate them. My Mojito Lemonade didn't have a lot flavors of any kind. Not in lemony, minty, sugary - which is all the things I think it when I think of a mojito or lemonade. My husband got the hojicha iced tea. We've only ever had other hojicha in a latte and asked if they made those but was told that they didn't. It was not bad by any means just different. Also, the cost of one shoprite apple turnovers from the cafe buys you the whole case at shoprite which is *actually* the same exact food. The breakfast sandwich was the most unflavorful and bland breakfast sandwich I've ever had, counting both outside and even at home. It was difficult to take a third or fourth bite of any of the food. The coffee also did not stand out to me in any way. Coming in very hungry, I was excited and while food typically tastes better when hungry, I just couldn't enjoy it. with this experience, I have to give the food a 2/5 If you're looking for a spot to hangout or get some work in, I'd say it's worth visiting. It is decorated nicely and has board games and a decent amount of seating and some mini tables. It looks like a feel good place people can stop by to sit and relax for a little bit. Service is fine, the owner is chill and nice to talk to.

What we ordered: - Strawberry Matcha Latte - Pandan Macaron We enjoyed both of our items. The service was interesting. I can't say that it's quite a negative or a positive. Since it was our first time there, we took some time to look at the menu and came with questions when we ordered. I saw that they have a matcha latte on the menu but nowhere did I see any specials or what syrups could be added to the matcha. Because of this, I asked the person checking us out if they had any syrups and if they could be added to the drinks. He listed off the syrups (vanilla, hazelnut, etc) and also included a "strawberry puree" in the list. So I considered that and said I would order it with the strawberry puree. The woman who was making the drinks beside him then said something along the lines of "so you're ordering a strawberry matcha latte". Like I was suppose to know that and order that way. I responded "yeah, I guess so but is that on the menu because I don't see it". Then she confirmed it's not on the menu. I didn't know if it would cost more or if it wasn't suppose to be included as a syrup or if she was training him. It was just an odd interaction rubbed me the wrong way though and left an uncomfortable feeling for me. We were going to enjoy our stuff there but after that we decided to take it to go. I'm not sure if I will return as it is not a local spot for us and we made a special visit out there to try it. My drink was good and the macaron was also yummy. I would recommend it regardless because their stuff is good and my interaction could just be a one off.

Unfortunately, that was where the positive experience ended. No one offered a high chair for my 11-month-old, and after ordering our drinks, we waited about 10-15 minutes before anyone came back to our table. We were there for nearly 30 minutes in total. Our waitress returned twice, and each time we were told she would be back, but we still never received our drinks or a high chair. Eventually, we got up and left. What was most disappointing was that not a single employee acknowledged us or attempted to stop us as we walked out. We felt completely overlooked. This also wasn't our first poor experience. About two weeks ago, my son politely asked a waiter three separate times for something. After repeatedly forgetting, the waiter responded, "Hey, I'm really busy, man." That's not an appropriate way to speak to a customer--especially a child. A simple, "I'm sorry, I forgot. I'll bring it right over," would have been the professional response. Waiting tables means providing customer service, even when you're busy. I completely understand having to wait when a restaurant is busy. However, waiting nearly 30 minutes without receiving so much as a drink, while also never being offered a high chair for an infant, is unacceptable. Sadly, based on these experiences, we'll be taking our business elsewhere.

The reason for the about face is I have never been treated with such disrespect by management/ownership in my life! We had a 7:30 reservation, showed up a few minutes early, and checked in. The hostess told us we can wait by the outside bar, and she would come get us. 20 minutes later, she walked over by the area and went back to the desk. I walked over and checked to make sure she wasn't looking for us. She says no, looks inside and says she's still waiting for guests to leave. OK, I go back. It's now 8, my friend walks over and looks in and sees there are 2 open tables and suggests we walk over to the desk. We do and another hostess asks us after about 5 minutes if she can help, we state were waiting for our table, she looked inside and said OK, we have a table for you. So finally seated at around 8:10. We sit, server comes over in a few, tells us about the specials, sees we have our drinks from outside (the original drinks, more on that later) and says she will be back for our order. Bread (4 measly pieces) comes; she eventually comes back after taking an order from the table next to us who was seated after us and takes our order. Before she leaves my wife asks for more bread with our appetizers, to which she responds dismissively w/ attitude "I'll see what I can do".   My wife is mad; we are all angry as it's 8:45 and the only thing we have been served is bread & attitude. I went outside to find the owner (and his son) who had been out there helping the staff. I walk up and start the conversation stating, 1st off we really enjoy this place and have always had a good experience, but I wanted to share what was happening this evening, specifically w/ the server. I didn't yell, I wasn't belligerent, just voiced my/our displeasure. His response was a rambling about their special bread, why it's limited, blah blah blah. Totally missed the point which was how she responded. So, I respond by saying he obviously isn't concerned with the feedback as all he did was defend their bread position and that I was going back inside. I went back in. The owner and his son proceed to follow me in (confrontational much!) and the owner CONTINUES his bread rant. The son then asks me why I dared speak to his "80 yr old father?". Well, he is walking around like the mayor, I knew he was the owner, so I gave him my feedback. The rest is a bit fuzzy, but it's 8:20ish, no food, a confrontation with ownership and a terrible server. The son comes back and challenges me on our reservation time stating it was 7:45. As if that mattered. It WAS 7:30 and I asked him to come outside, and I'll show him the reservation. I go outside, food/wine shows up, there's yelling (not by us) and they ask us TO LEAVE! WTF! I ask what is going on, wife/friends get up and start getting ready to leave, then another 'henchmen' comes out of the back and starts mean mugging me as if he's ready to throw hands and has the nerve to say, "your inebriated". We had one drink the hour we were there, we couldn't get served enough to be drunk! The owner yelling "this is a family place", blah blah blah. They initiated the confrontation, and the only thing I can think of is I may have used an expletive when OUTSIDE with them (away from any other patrons), never yelled and never was belligerent. I'm 63 and never got kicked out of a bar let alone at a restaurant.  So, I doubt anyone reading this will stay away, but if you do go, especially on a weekend, don't expect good service, and DON'T DARE complain or give feedback. You have been warned!
